The entire print and marketing team were awesome to work with and very informative about all the various options Staples had to offer. We wanted to shout out one amazing employee in particular, Nancy, as she was the most considerate and accommodating person you could ask for. When we weren't entirely comfortable with the initial paper type we had chosen for our thank you cards, Nancy took the time to walk us through the other available options and even printed our new cards right then and there. I went to print some papers this morning. I did 3 separate transactions on the printing machine and only 2 of my transactions had came out the way I wanted them to. I asked the girl why my papers printed the way they did and she looked at me like I was stupid asking how I printed them. I said email the same way I did for the others. She said I needed to crop my photos since it was screenshots and walked away to her phone. All my prints were of screenshots. I asked to use the restroom while I was browsing for supplies and the associate at the front didn't even seem the slightest pleased to help me and when they offered me to code to the restroom they didn't even sound helpful with that. Read before applying for TSA precheck here. The staff is super unprofessional. The lady took a break on the floor behind the counter and refused to help until her break was over. It was just odd she's sitting on the floor playing with her phone. She also did not process my TSA app correctly. After scanning the documents needed, she did not send it in to the TSA people and I had to scan at the airport, making the status pending and unable to use my precheck until I was fully approved. read more

I always find blank certificates with various designs and glossy paper I need for my Event every year in this place. I want to personally thank couple of staff who helped me with my event print project last week. The supervisor was Estela P. and the consultant who worked on it was Nancy Martinez. I came into your Meadowview store #1343 on 04/06/2021 15:05 to buy a cardboard box. I could not have been in that store for more than 5 minutes. Just long enough to be followed by TWO Staples employees (who were so very inept, that it was borderline creepy). Followed...not offered any assistance...just spied upon. This is the definition of Systemic Racism. The MANAGEMENT at Meadowview store #1343 has made "security" another duty of the rank and file employees, who are not trained or paid enough to do this, so they completely suck at it. Deals? No. Good clearance items? No. Helpful staff? Sometimes. I am always disappointed with Staples. I have gone in several times to pick up office supplies, and every time I leave grumpy. It has got to be the bait and switch mentality of the prices. There will be a huge sign advertising "Deals" or "Dealbusters" only it applies to one thing and not the shelf or rack. Bed, Bath and Beyond does this little trick and it always annoys me. If only one item is on sale, say so. I have never bought a computer/printer/phone here, so I cannot vouch for the prices or helpfulness of the staff, but when it comes to office supplies they are either out of something and want me to order it online, or at the higher price end. Sometimes there will be a loss leader item on sale in their flyers, (again usually not there) but in general I am always shocked at the high prices. My favorite thing they do is label something, "clearance" only to see they marked it down a dollar or two. Hmmm. That is not clearance to me! The employees here are polite and friendly when they notice you. But sometimes this store doesn't always carry what I'm looking for, such as a replacement battery for my home phone. I'm pretty sure I had bought my phone battery here a few years back. No one even acknowledged my presence as I searched the aisle high and low looking through a very dwindled display of inventory products. I was at least hoping that someone could look the battery up and possibly special order it. But since no one was around except the busy cashier, I just left. I still visit here from time to time to pick up a few supplies. Most often, I need to keep replacing my ink cartridges for my printer/fax/scanner. I don't even use this contraption that much, but it sure seems like I run out of ink after a few uses! Since I keep losing my little reminder card with the key number of what cartridges I need, I tried to use Staples "handy" catalog of printer cartridges. But for some strange reason the catalog doesn't even list what I'm looking for. In fact, the numbering system has completely changed. The products on display haven't changed, just the "helpful guide" is different! At least I knew what type of printer I had, so that the clerk could look it up on-line instead. What a relief, I didn't have to leave empty handed again, because I needed to print some important documents that evening. On the plus side of using Staples printer cartridges, they do have a nice "money back" recycling program that is helpful towards the purchase of replacements. They also keep track of your purchases with their "Staples Rewards" program. Enrolling is free and you get a rewards card. They will also email you with coupons and updates on any sales going on with nice benefits and discounts that are helpful for the business minded. This is your standard office supply store that carries all the basic necessities to keep a home office or place of business running smoothly, and since it is located right near my job, I will most likely continue to shop here. This is my first 1-star review. I officially hate this store. I came in and ordered in-store a couple weeks ago which didn't suck, it just wasn't super fast, but whatevers. Upon coming to pick it up, I encountered MAJOR attitude problems with a Stephen G. and the General Manager Fred Stewart. I, too, am extremely patient w/ retail and I know folks have bad days, what WHA?!?!?!?! I have never been so shocked and frustrated after purchasing an expensive item. This was one of the worst retail experiences I've had in a long time, and it doesn't appear it's going to change as the district manager, Tanvear, sets the worst example I've seen for customer service. I've come here over the last three years for the occasional overpriced toner cartridge, pack of CD-Rs, or miscellaneous item needed for my son's school project. I kid you not: today was the first time I've ever been smiled at by a cashier. Literally. Everyone here seems so depressed or fed up with their job that really shows in the support and services they provide. I can say that I have had a few really good jobs done by their printing depart. Under a deadline, needed that evening. fifteen minutes until closing, they've gotten the job done. Considering some really shoddy work I've had done by other print and copy chains, this location does very well. But that's the extent of the positives. After a few visits i really love staples at this location . I like how it is very near me. . Not busy most of the time it's slow and quick for grab and go. . Next is the printing services... I called FedEx and wanting to print something on photo paper but they said you will have to buy your own laser photo paper, in order to print . Vs. staples they had it all in one stop, they do offer printing stuff on photo paper such as 8.5 x 11 which I needed. Also it was 1.32 each, so not so bad if you rarely print, which saves me ink money and printer troubles. Saves me time and easy on the wallet. . Another fact I really like is the price match, I had gotten a memory card reader which was marked at twenty and when I price matched it to ten dollars, it totally made my day ;). . The parking at this location is nice and easy, next to home depot and they have lots of parking which is never an issue. . Overall whatever I need for my art supply crafts or office supplies staples is where I go to. Stuff is pretty organized here and I find it easy to find. I've only been here once and customer service did not make good first impression. Went in to drop off a package. No greetings. Okay, that's fine. Stood at the empty counter waiting for someone to help me. Is someone coming? Do I just leave the package? But they might need something from me. So I just wait. Then an employee comes around, no Hi or Hello. Just goes behind the counter, turns the package around to look at the label, types info into the computer. He says nothing to me. Right timing, the UPS guy comes in to pick-up the packages and employee greets him in a very monotonous and bored kinda way. So are we done here or what? He hands me a coupon and tells me to have a nice day. Okay, you too. lol So I walk around the store trying to look for something. The same guy that 'helped' me with the package was heading to the back of the store maybe for his break or what not, and I could already tell that he didn't want to bothered. No eye contact, no smile. No 'Hi, are you finding everything okay?' Or 'Can I help you with something?' Nada. (Okay, so maybe he was hungry or tired or sleepy, having a bad day with his SO ETC.) I purchased a printer at the Largo Mall location for a gift. Unfortunately the gift did not work out therefore I tried to return the UNOPENED printer. The refund policy is only 14 days from date of purchase therefore I requested an in store credit which was denied by a store manager since it was purchased 49 days ago. Staples is a staple for my printing needs. Between Staples and Costco, I can find some really affordable deals and prices and the turnaround is much faster than anywhere else. In fact, Staples is the only place I've found in Sacramento that actually does front and back photo printing. That's about where my preference for this particular Staples ends. On my last visit, the stocks were sadly understocked and I wasn't able to find the printer ink I needed. The only employee I encountered outside of the print center could only give me a bewildered look when I asked when more stock would come in. My advice: Check out this Staples for your printing needs, but otherwise you can find a better selection of office supplies at Office Max or even Target. read more

If I could give negative stars to this store's Copy and Print center, I would. I deal with Staples Copy and Print centers all over the country because my company does trainings that we need binders printed for. I've never had this poor service. First of all, my files were too large for the Staples email system to process. So I called the store. As soon as Rosemary picked up the phone I knew this was not going to be good. She had no idea what the maximum size of the file should be for it to go through and told me to submit my order through the website. Submitting orders (especially large ones) through the website is a horrendous and slow process, but I had the time so I did it anyway. Then I call Rosemary back to see if she got it. Yes, she says, but she cannot open some of the PDF's. She said they are not PDF's, they are in something called PhotoExpert. I told her I had no idea what she was talking about and that I would try to send those pdf's by e-mail, since they were fairly small. So I send the email and ask her to please call me if she cannot open them. No call, so I figure she was able to. I'm sure you know what happened next... My binders were of course not printed in time for my training. I'm assuming Rosemary spoke to me, knew I had an order that needed to be done by Monday, and went home for the weekend without telling ANYONE else my situation. I played phone tag with the Copy and Print Center all weekend trying to figure out if they received everything. I figured my numerous frantic calls would clue someone in to the fact that I need HELP, not attitude. When I called Rosemary to ask her why my order would not be completed, she pretended to not remember speaking to me the week before. We had 3 conversations and she looked at my files, asked me questions and wrote stuff down. I didn't think it would be so hard to print paper and then put it in binders... First of all, I got out of my car and realized the air smelled like a sewer in the lot out front of this store. I don't usually come here so I didn't know if this was normal; not the fault of the business I'm sure, but unfortunate. The store was large and bright and looked clean, but on the down side, I was not greeted by anyone nor could I see anyone out on the floor when I wanted to be able to ask where to find what I'd come in for. After much wandering around I managed to come across what I was looking for and was stunned by how much money they wanted for a datebook and a financial journal. I don't know if there is any place else to find these items where I would suffer less sticker shock. I wanted them now, so I wasn't going to go do comparison shopping. I went up front to check out. It wasn't clear where to get help there either. There was someone in the area that said Customer Service but they had their back toward the store and were engrossed in something and not available. There were check out lanes to the right of that, but neither had a light on and didn't appear to have anyone waiting to ring out a customer. As I got closer I was asked if I could be helped by the two people that had been standing there that I thought were other customers not employees. I was told I needed to go to the next lane over and one of them then went over there and rang up my purchases. She was pleasant, but that was not enough to make me feel like this is a very shopper friendly place. read more
