This is my go to place for all my printing needs! BEST customer service!! Seriously! They never let me down! They are always organized, and get my orders in on time. If I wasn't 100% satisfied with my prints, they will redo for me for free. I have been coming to this staples location for like 8 years already and I will keep coming back! I have been to a lot of other Staples such as in Brea and Monterey Park where their customer service is so horrible! A+ printing service! I'm not sure why the negative reviews. I designed my company flyers at home and had difficulty getting the order to complete. Deciding to drive down to the store. I was greeted by John in the printing department and he quickly helped me complete my order online right in the store. I anticipated having to come back later that day, as I was previously quoted by the Yorba Linda store. But to my surprise, John said give me 5 minutes. I couldn't ask for anything more. I needed copies made on 2 part carbon copy paper thinking of course, Staples would be able to handle this job. Wrong. It has to be sent out & there was no one in the store who knew how to place the order. Apparently there's only one person who can do it, so if you go in & that person isn't there, you're out of luck. read more

Everyone here is SUPER helpful. I was with my 4yr old and 2month old. Went in to buy some supplies, a young guy with bleached hair approached me and asked if I needed help and pointed me into the right direction. The girl at the cash register was so sweet to my lil boy. I get home and realize I left my purchase in the basket and I live about 45min from this staples . I called and spoke to a gentleman and he set it up so that I could pick up my items at a staples closer to me vs. driving all the way out there for them. When I asked his name he said Aasum but it's pronounced "awesome". I thought he was joking because he was actually awesome! Lol thank you to the Yorba Linda Staples staff. First and last time here. Went to try to print a picture the girl behind the counter with red hair was RUDE and not helpful at all. She didn't even walk up to the counter where we were at or make eye contact with us. She told us to download a picture to staples print me.com then she said says send it and they'll send us a confirmation. Very confusing directions my son says I'm not sure where to even go and she didn't ACKNOWLEDGE OR OFFER HELP! I'm not spending my money here to pay for your rude employees and I'm making sure my neighbors will know about the horrible customer service you all have. read more

I went here the other week to pick up some combo locks for both work and also for the lockers at the gym and experienced the worst customer ever! Upon my entry into the store, I see that there is a manager as well as a few employees at the front counter that don't bother to look up and greet me. I thought nothing of it as I was in a hurry to look for the items I needed and get back to work. As I walked about the store, I saw that it was their load day and many employees were out and about working out product. What really bothered me is that not one bothered to stop and greet me nor even make eye contact to acknowledge my presence. As I was about to stop a young man to ask him where the combo locks where located, he immediately lowered his eyes and fast paced it into another aisle. At this point, I was quite annoyed but managed to find the locks and made it up to the register. When I let the man know how disappointed I was, he showed complete indifference and didn't even bother to offer and apology. I will no longer be going to this Staples location even though they are right next door to both the Costco and PetSmart I frequent. read more

Usually I generally like this Staples because I just go in no big deal get what I want and leave. It's the print center that pisses me off. I go in and try to get help and they always shoo me away or tell me to do it online. If I could do it online I wouldn't be coming in and talking to you! In my line of work even when I am busy I always have to stop what I am doing to help a customer. Turning someone away because your "too busy" is a stupid excuse. Especially at Staples. We do all of our business ordering with Staples. Guess it's time to see what Office Max has available for their business orders. read more

This rating is actually for the UPS counter in the store.... What a disaster... This was not my first trip to this UPS location and its never a good experience. This was my last time using this place. The only reason I went in more than once is because it is in a convenient location for me. The poor guy they stuck behind the counter could not have been trained for the job. He was nice enough, he just had absolutely no idea what to do and no one around was willing to help. It's like they pretended not to see him strugle... I walked out with my package as I had lost all confidence that it would actually make it to the final destination. She printed out over 5 preview copies for me so I could review and compare them! I ended up going with the more pricey paper, but, the results were stunning! Staples saved me again! I sent something to the staples by my work. Halfway through the day, I thought, "Maybe I should check on them to make sure everything is okay." Good thing I did, because I found out they wouldn't be able to print my job, so I called my Yorba Linda Staples and they saved me! The copy and print staff is unparalleled. These people really know what they are doing and do it quickly, thoroughly and efficiently. I just moved to Orange and needed 200 copies done. They couldn't handle it and tried to tell me that they need to send it to LA. I told them that can't be, YL can do it in an hour. I'll be headed back out here for all of my copy and print needs even if it is a little further. There is no substitute for service like this. read more

I visited this store for Print & Copy services. I had booklets made at a Staples in Central California a few months back, and since then the adhesive holding the booklets together was no longer working. I brought in the 6 booklets that needed to be fixed. Sandy offered to re-heat the 6 booklets to see if the adhesive would hold the booklets together. Unfortunately, it didn't work. So she re-made all 6 booklets...for free (with the manager's approval)! I was so thankful that I didn't have to pay for new booklets since they cost me about $24. She quickly finished the new booklets, and I was heading for the door! Then, on my way out, I noticed the spiral notebooks were on sale-$0.17 each!! As a teacher, I knew this was a deal! I spoke with the manager about the new booklets, thanked her for having them re-done for free, and asked her how many spiral notebooks I could buy (since every supply store has a different limit per customer). She said I could buy a whole class set at $0.17 each since I am a teacher! I really appreciated that since I visited an OfficeMax earlier that week and was told I could only buy the limit of all sale items, which was 3. So I purchased thirty spiral notebooks, and am happy with the cost! I will definitely visit this Staples again when I go school shopping for my classroom. Thank you Sandy and Lisa! read more

Staples has deceptive rebate tactics. I received a $20.00 Reward VISA card for a rebate. Unfortunately, I was unaware that the card is automatically charged a service fee of $3.00 per month. If I had known this I would have purchased my products somewhere else for less money, and kept my $20.00. read more

Their computer center wanted about $300 to fix our 1 year old laptop that just had warranty expire. After three different estimates, we were thoroughly confused because it was always a different problem causing our computer to no longer turn on. All three suggestions/problems were from this same store (for the same problem). Instead, I brought the unfixed laptop home, had my company IT guy fix it...all he did is change the position of the 2 Memory RAM cards and Wolla! It turned on...then he cleaned the blue screen. All for $70. It is clear that this Staples Store has no idea what they're doing (their computer repair store). Beware! Otherwise I shop here still for supplies, just not computer service. read more

As a previous employee of Staples, I can say that the other associates are inept due to poor training. We are also taught to sell Square Trade which is a rip off warranty plan which is a SCAM. Two of the managers are rude and seem annoyed when new employees had questions. I am so glad to have left Staples where hard work is never valued or appreciated and treats you poorly. So I was having a printing crisis for a school project and I ran out of options so I went to ask an employee at the printing section for advice on how to reformat an item. The employee, Lindsay, was so incredibly helpful!!! She gave me multiple options, a price breakdown, and provided overall amazing service. Walking in the store and to my left was a large display of printer paper with a large sign saying $3. The $3 price was in very large print (about 1 foot tall). Upon paying for my purchases I was charged $7.79 for the paper. I asked to speak to the manager and she pointed out the small print on the display that said "After Easy Rebate". Turns out that the rebate is a mail in rebate and nothing given at the register. There was nothing easy about the rebate process. VERY DECEPTIVE DISPLAY. Staples has now upset a 20 year customer over a few dollars to the point that I won't be back. It is the deceptive sales tactics that have cost them my business. I am an IT director for a very large business in Newport and spend several 1000 per month at staples under a business account. They have lost that business over less than $4. The manager sympathized with me saying that the display causes her endless customer complaints. She asked me to complain to corporate stating that they will not listen to her. Monday i will be looking for a new company to provide the office supplies for the 600 plus employees we have at the Newport location. read more
