Went to the Star Bar and had a great time. It is like a home town bar. The food is really good. And the workers are very nice. They want you there. Home town atmosphere 100%! I live in Hollister,MO. Only 4.1 miles it saids on my phone. My brother that owns property down in Branson loves to come here since it it not like some of the other noisy places to eat and drink. I finally was able to visit with him and i agree. Its really spacious inside and also has a separate game room. The seating is more like cafeteria style but there is nothing wrong with that. The owner amokes up their own meats and sauces if i remebrr right and they were both very good. We sampled some wings and then burnt ends. One great thing is they have their own parking lot and its easy to get in and out of! Which is a big deal in Branson since alot of places are so cramped you cant even sneeze. Amazing food! I had one trip salad, which how can you screw up your own salad and 6 mesquite wings. Definitely the way to go, that flavor is amazing. My husband had a smash burger and wow! Was staying close by and had gotten up and out very early so... wanted to eat close by so glad we picked Stars. Food was awesome!!!! Service was spot on!Has an open kitchen so I could watch them fix everything and as someone who loves to cook I was very impressed with the cook and how clean he kept his area and how often he changed his gloves. Our waitress was very friendly and provided us with great service. The food was clearly homemade and delicious. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. They had a decent amount of BBQ items on the menu and we could smell the meats being smoked. It smelled heavenly. We all commented we have to return for lunch or dinner. Horrible!! We couldn't believe this place has 4 stars. Hate to post this. The first moment we came in, we had to clean a table to find a place to seat and eat. Not sure why we didn't take the hint. Probably because it was 11am and we were ready to eat some breakfast. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for the food. Staff looked overwhelmed. The food was not what we expected. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with hash browns. It had no flavor. The eggs were overcooked and barely had an imitation of a hollandaise sauce. My boyfriend had the corn beef hash and he said it was just ok. I grabbed a cup of coffee to pour me some and the cup had a coffee stain like it didn't wash well. We started with the deep fried deviled eggs--I've never had them and they were really good.. He had the Taneycomo and enjoyed it but there was too much seasonin' on the top of the ribs, they really don't need the seasonin' on top at all, he said (& that's why we didn't give a 5 star)...I had the prime rib and it was so, so good.. Well we were extremely disappointed by this restaurant. We arrive around lunchtime read a few yelp reviews s we thought we would give it a try. We walked in and there was just one other table dining in and a baby sitting in a car seat on another table. The waitress sat us at a table took our drink order when she walked away the air conditioning came on and it was freezing at the table we asked questions about the menu. I wanted to order the pulled pork brisket and brunt ends she told us they were out f brisket and pulled pork that the smoker caught fire and they just got a new on in. I knew rite away it was bull. So I was able to order jay a burnt ends sandwich and my wife just had a salad with chicken. Not what we wanted out of a BBQ joint, we also moved to the bar because the air conditioning was so cold. The food came I ended up just eating the meat they had like 6 different sauces 2 of them were ok. I guess nothing was really going to taste good after you ready about something put your mind to it and then you can't have it. The place has history it started in a food truck then they wer in a small building now they are in a much bigger building. I wonder if they are getting too big for them selves? One worker didn't wear a mask while cooking the waitress had hers on and off another cook had his on all the time. Don't know if we would go back. If I could no stars I would. This place is not what it used to be. Pulled up on a Saturday night and the parking lot was empty. Should have been a sign. New owners. New management. Shit food. Ordered the prime rib. Ordered it med rare. They served us strip steak and it came out brown. Was about 1/4 inch thick. Terrible. Manager was also the cook. Couldn't come talk to us because he couldn't leave the kitchen. Horrible experience and we won't be back. Sad because this was a hidden gem. read more

A perfect storm of mistakes and just bad luck. We had to wait an hour and a half due to an unorganized kitchen and a party of 12 getting their order before us despite ordering a half hour after our group of 4 showed up. We sat outside along with the many flies and bee that were buzzing around due to an unchanged garbage can. Unfortunately, a metal fence over 10 ft long that was not stable ended up falling over while we were waiting and hit me directly in my upper back (bad luck). The staff was mildly apologetic for this. I had the eggs Benedict which I believe cost $13ish dollars for a very pathetic 2 thin slices of dried out ham, a couple teaspoons of hollandaise, and a snotty-raw egg on top! We actually tipped 20% (which turned out to be about an $80 meal) because they have you pay up front and automatically have the system set to 20% unless you change it. The *only* reason this place gets 2 stars instead of a well-deserved 1 is the fact that the campfire potatoes taste excellent. Just get that one thing to-go and order *plenty* of time in advance! read more

Stayed at the Diamond Resorts at FallCreek which is a hop skip and a jump away from this grill which made dining very convenient. All their plates were good and help staff was very friendly. When it got busy is was nice people watching. Pulled pork BBQ was the best plate we had. Did not realize how much BBQ pork the locals eat!! No shortage of protein in this neck of the woods. Not a place for the weight watchers, keto or hard core dieters even though that had a nice variety of salads. You just can't come here and eat a salad. It's probably against the law to not eat BBQ everyday Ambiance was nice, nice big bar and a vast menu! The Margarita hit the spot. I could of had three more. I had a breakfast bowl 4/5 that was good, the family did not care for their meals 2/5 The service from the bartender that night was great he was personable, and make you feel happy just a cool atmosphere around him. I had the Sizzlin steak; it's like Philly cheesesteak but the steak is a solid piece of meat with grilled peppers & onions and provolone cheese. The steak was tender and easy to bite into, could've been flavored better. The green beans are good and tasty, salad buffet was on point; fix yourself with all the toppings.
