Greeted with a big smile and a friendly welcome from our host/waiter, Tyler (the rookie). Was his first day on the job and he rocked it. Had the Star Table Family Platter that four of us shared. More than plenty for all of us to eat. Had the adult Mac & cheese, green beans, fries, pit beans & charred brussel sprouts. Had half applewood and half mesquite seasoning. The atmosphere is good. I ordered catfish platter with mashed potatoes and gravy. The fish was like minced fish sticks in a fillet. (NOT GOOD) I'm Memphis bread and I catch catfish in my backyard. Literally. The breading did not stick to it. It was horrible. The mashed potatoes were ok but the gravy was not good at all. It was a white gravy. I will say that even though they had 1 server she was nice but was pulled in every direction. Poor thing. The cook was nice as well. I'm guessing he was trying. Also, tried half a rack of ribs and they were not good at all. They seemed old and dry. They were not edible. The sweet tea was not sweet. I will say I am from the dirty south where sweet means sweet. I don't know if Saturday 12-10-2022 was an off night but I am giving 2 stars not for the food but for the staff and let me say that ranch dressing was on point. It made my meal because that is all that I ate. (Salad) Oh the eggs that I put on the salad had shells in it. I hate I did not take pics but I am glad I didn't just incase it was an off night for them. The entire meal was $54. Shaking my head. This restaurant is a scam! We stopped here for breakfast on Saturday since we were staying at the diamond resort and it was close. 6 adults and 5 children. The whole experience was one of the worst I've had at any restaurant. The wait time to order and recieve food was very long. The food that did come out was wrong or missing portions. For example: the corn beef hash was just a cut portion of a flavorless corn beef brisket. Some of the dishes did not show up after an hour of waiting. When questioned the staff informed us they did not have the ingredients for those dishes and would not be making them. They did say they had sent people to the store to get more bacon. But after a half hour to order. 1hr to wait for the food and another 30min to learn that some of the dishes weren't coming we decided we were done waiting. After all of this we requested refunds for the dishes that they couldn't make. Supposedly there was no one there authorized to give refunds so they wouldn't give them. BEWARE. And definitely don't tip well when paying up front. read more

Terrible. Service was close to nonexistent. The only help we got was from the lady manager. The waiter we were supposed to have was extremely forgetful and non attendant. The rolls were worst then Lamberts cafe. They were also supposed to be corn bread according to the menu. The pound of pork was not even enough to make two sandwiches. It was also mushy and had no flavor. I have had better bar b que out of a can. The ribs were okay but stuck to the bone. The fries were undercooked like a raw potato with no seasoning. They also ran out of corn and some other items. The Brussels sprouts were overly salty and tasted sour. The music had no theme and was too loud. I called ahead to see how long the line was. I was told it wasn't very long. They didn't tell me that after you order, we would have to wait...2 hours+. Food was ok, but not worth a 2-hour wait, and our order was incomplete. I wasn't going to wait for a missing biscuit. I will preface this review with a quote from my fiancé. "It's food isn't it? You're going to eat it." For a more in-depth explanation then please read on. We entered and was sat within ten minutes. We started off with waters, a coffee for my fiance and chips and queso. My fiance said the coffee was good. Our orders were taken after maybe 15 mins or so. The queso and chips took about 30 mins to get to our table. They were well... Queso and chips. The real treat is how long our entrees took. I ordered a platter with brisket, pulled pork, and sausage with fries and Mac and cheese and my fiance ordered the jumbo shrimp with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. Our orders arrived nearly an hour after we ordered. 10 minutes before we got our food they told us that they were out of Mac and cheese. The food was brought out and they managed to have one side of the Mac and cheese and gave it to my fiance. I got mashed potatoes instead. As per the quality of the food. Let's start off with positives. The mashed potatoes were good, as should be expected of any restaurant. My fiance thought the shrimp was also good (she also says they are better than the BBQ meats). Those were the highlights. The brisket, pulled pork and sausage were mediocre at best and was made only slightly better after adding some salt and using their signature sauces (This is a BBQ PLACE??!).The mac and cheese was OK. My fries were dry and stale which begs the question of "how does a restaurant mess up fries?" The service was less than stellar. Our waitress rarely checked on us and the staff (front and back) seemed to lack any sense of urgency. Tables sat dirty for long periods of time and the kitchen moved with the haste of a dead turtle. We went here thinking that it would not be as busy as other places and we could get quality food in a reasonable time. We were disappointed. I would absolutely not recommend this place. Unless you wanted to spend a long period of time to get average food. read more

Two stars because the food that we got was actually pretty decent. Plus they ended us everything free, so they did try to make up for our terrible experience. The manager and server were apologetic. Our waitress was brand new and therefore had some trouble getting our order in. After we received the meals that we actually did receive, I was told they only serve baked potatoes after 5, so my plate was missing a side. (Also...pet peeve, many spelling errors on the menu). We had to ask for maple syrup for my sons French toast. My husband had to ask for the fruit that was supposed to come with his meal. My other kid ordered pizza. Pizza is apparently not made on site and would take longer. We tried to order the 14", but the waitress said she only saw the option of 8" on her screen... so we got 8". We were informed that it would take longer, but not that it wasn't made on site. One hour and 15 minutes later, we still did not have our pizza, despite the fact of the rest of us were long done eating and the table has been cleared. We were given many reasons for this: 1) it was karaoke last night and the staff was tired 2) lots of new staff 3) there was a power outage at the pizza place (again... not made in this restaurant!?) 4) they were slammed this morning. (It was mostly empty when we arrived, and still it's been over 75 minutes and no 8" pizza) In addition, it was very weird to be seeing staff rolling or carrying food from one end of the dining room into the kitchen. We witnessed someone carrying two heads of cabbage from the back of the restaurant to the front with bare hands. We also witnessed two people rolling open vats of raw chicken in water from one end to the other. Right next to our table. That can't be sanitary! Lastly, I'm sure if you're into old country (like 60's), you may have enjoyed the live music (I was unaware this was occurring today). The music was loud enough that it was hard to hear the server and one another. We witnessed another table near us that was having quite a few troubles too... waiting forever for food, food not coming out right, etc. So while my chicken fingers and corn bread were pretty good, French toast was ok, and my husband's prime rib omelet was likable, we wouldn't come back. Salad bar was in dire need of improvement across the board (didn't even order as it didn't look satisfying one bit). Management needs overhaul, a failed attempt at self service. Don't go here if you're traveling. Go somewhere where the staff shows up and they take your drink order within 15 minutes of you arriving. Haven't even gotten the food yet but don't have high hopes. Update: 45 minutes later we received our food. My suspicions were confirmed upon the first bite. The "blackened chicken pasta" consisted of an enormous bowl of bland fettuccine with 3 chunks of over cooked and unseasoned chicken. Awesome food! Service was great. We started with the sweet heat wings, which were good but If we were to do it again we would order naked and they have 4 sauces they bring to the table. One got the 3 meats and said it didn't need any sauce, one got prime rib and cut with a fork, I got fish tacos and they were pretty good. Large menu so everyone can find something they like Update: back for a second time in a week. The blueberry pineapple cream cheese corn bread was handed out as a sample. Get that for sure!!! Good BBQ found in Branson, MO. 4-alarm wings we're , and I mean fire! The BBQ meat platter was an afterthought after finding out they were out of smoked prime rib but oh well, it's a common theme at many establishments and it's all good, nobody died as a result. Food was pretty good, salad bar was fresh, and my kids double cheeseburger (not pictured) he said was tasty. Large, open space inside and service was friendly and attentive. Where do I begin. We enter a nice, new establishment. Sit at the bar looking for a bloody mary. Only one other couple dining. A young server comes out and tells us we have to place our order at a different counter, pay, then the food will b served. Also help yourself to soft drinks. She starts walking away, I'm like can we get some bloody Mary's, she's like I can do that. Walks away never asking what vodka or type that are special to their menu. A younger guy says that's not enough vodka..etc walks her through it. She delivers and walks away. We go to place our food order at another counter, I ask repeatedly how much the salad bar is with a bbq dish and the same girl is like, ill tell you shortly. The menu states breakfast all day, my husband tries to order breakfast, its 1110am, and the girl says breakfast is over. They opened at 11am.. We are like just give us the half smoked chicken special. Comes with 2 sides. I just get cole slaw and a side salad.The food is delivered, no utensils and plates are not cleaned up so grease all over. A manager gets the utensils, I ask for my side salad , he's like oh just get it from the salad bar... so I get up again wishing I had been told sooner, get my salad. Start eating and the smoked chicken was like saw dust. I can't explain how a smoked chicken had soggy skin and then dry meat. Absolutely no seasoning. While the sauces tasted good, they were gritty. Very strange. The only upside was the cole slaw was fresh and good. Cornbread texture was decent, but no flavor. I couldn't eat my chicken, passed my chicken to my army vet husband who stated he had better MREs in the military... this place has huge potential, but when you are waiting on yourself and the food still sucks ...it's just a waste of time. read more

The waitress had to take our drink order twice and still got it wrong. The bacon tasted like it had gone bad and the grits were SO runny. The prices were ridiculous. 10.00 for one biscuit and a small amount of gravy. 3.00 for a kids drink, isn't even included with the kids meal. Never got coffee refills. You need to come in and see Chef C and get some great food. We've been here twice once for a late night dinner and again at breakfast. The BBQ is top notch and the breakfast is as well today. we had a Branson Benedict and my wife had the garden omelet. We also had to have a side of Brunt Ends because you have to get some BBQ here. More food than we could eat. The burnt end fries are a great choice as well. Stay away from the chain restaurants and get some fresh home cooked local food. This place will not disappoint. read more

I came all the way from Cleveland,Ohio,and was staying across the street at a resort. My mother went there for lunch, and told me i would love the pulled pork...i am VERY into Bbq....anyway,for dinner,i did a takeout order...the Bbq platter...i got burnt ends, and beans, and added on the pulled pork. I also got chicken tenders for my 6 year old.....AMAZING.... the pork was juiciest ever, the beef was perfect...and the beans.....i devoured...the chicken tenders were obviously fresh, not frozen, crispy, flavorful...but the winner...the Bbq sauce.....their regular, house made sauce, had me licking out the container....5 stars . read more

This spot should be doing business in mid July like the other three places we had to pass up on due to the wait. There were multiple issues here: There was a dead fly smeared on my daughters menu. We asked for it to be exchanged. We were sat and served drinks by a server who then ignored us for 20 minutes. When I finally flagged her down she asked who our waitress was. We were one of five occupied tables out of the 25 they had. We ordered French toast with hash browns. It took an hour for them to come out and the hash browns we cold like they were undercooked. Instead of offering to replace the food the waitress told us we would get a discount. We left hungry and amazed at how poorly a place can operate during the peak of the tourist season. Had dinner with my son. Not sure where to start, the food was really poorly prepared and presented. My son ordered a French dip and there was hardly any meat. He took all the meat and put it on half the sandwich. I had catfish with mashed potatoes. Fish was really good but the potatoes tasted like instant made with water. That being said, the most disturbing thing was watching a young man serve food to guest with an open bandage on his hand and not wearing a mask. Watching guest go to their salad bar with no mask or using the gloves offered to them. We own a condo right next to their restaurant and will never step foot in there again. read more

Like other reviews indicate, it is not fancy, but the street view does not give it proper justice. It was exactly what I was looking for. A decent cheeseburger and fries at a decent price. I was very dissatisfied with this restaurant. It is EXTREMELY expensive and the food was horrible. $70 + just for 3 simple breakfasts??? I was waiting. For a chicken to lay a golden egg at that price. I get this is a tourist town but seriously, $70??? The food was cold and the hash browns pretty much mush and raw. Let's see, also egg shell in the omelet. Bread that wasn't even toasted and a glass of milk for $6? I think I would have gotten a much better meal from a homeless shelter. Someone else already said it but these positive reviews have to be fake. This was probably one of the top 3 worst dining experiences in my life. I'm telling you, don't go here. First, it took us 45 minutes to get an order of deviled eggs. We literally saw a couple come in, look at the menu, order their food, eat it, pay, and leave before we got our appetizer. Our eggs come out and they are pretty average but whatever. It was then another 45 minutes to an hour for our entrees. When they arrived, parts of it were luke warm and a lot of it was not made the way it was described on the menu. For example, my omelette was missing two ingredients. One of our party ordered hashbrowns and while the outside was crispy, the inside was very white and not cooked all the way. This was honestly horrible and inedible. There was a larger party of 6 that was near us and they had been waiting for their food as long as us and still didn't have it by the time we left. No one seemed to care. The menu looked so good but this restaurant was run so terribly. Also. There's not point in wearing a mask if you're going to keep it down the whole time. I read more

This Restraunt has two bars and an open kitchen that is spotless! All staff are super nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. Very good atmosphere that you can relax and escape the craziness of life. They are open for breakfast too with no wait! In 2020 they won best family restaurant and catfish so I will definitely come back to try dinner! Breakfast though was amazing. I had the 5 star eggs Benedict and it lives up to its name. When there isn't live music they have a jukebox that you can use to pick your own songs! This place needs to be on your list of things to do in Branson! read more

She changed her statement to say "well the virus is real but blown out of proportion" or somethingto that affect. Our Mac n cheese was cold, ice cold, and tasted horrible. Do not believe the reviews saying it's the best Mac n cheese. The brisket was dry and I only received 3 thin pieces on my bun. Wow! Diamond View Restaurant's Chef "C" 's barbeque is "Off The Hook!" Awesome Food! Check it out if you come to Branson! I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner there! His sauces are spectacular. It's all amazing! BEST Smoked Brisket, pulled pork and wings I've ever had in town. I had a smoked brisket and cabbage sandwich that was incredible. Killer breakfast, especially the pancakes! Chef Cee's barbecue is amazing! His truck is outside of the building and we walked up hungry but walked away more than satisfied and happy! The only thing better than the food was his bright and friendly charisma, and the welcoming environment he created. Everything is homemade and you can taste the passion in the food. We ordered the pound of brisket for $20 and the portions were very very generous. The brisket was tender and seasoned just right! We only ordered a pound but we think Chef Cee definitely gave us more than we asked for and honestly went above and beyond. While we only ordered the brisket, Chef Cee was so generous to give us complimentary sides of macaroni and cheese, cornbread, beans, rice, potato salad and coleslaw. The macaroni and cheese was sooooo good! Not too heavy, cheesy and had a smoky flavor. Definitely our favorite side. I would recommend Chef Cee's barbecue to anyone in Branson and given the opportunity I would come back again! For the food and just to talk to Chef Cee again! read more

If you are looking for BBQ on a Sunday or any day in Branson this is the place to go. The portions are massive. The Mac and cheese with the pecan smoked bacon is decadent and the bbq beans flavorful and are full of meat. My husband had the Burnt end platter with fries and beans. Too much food for one sitting. I had the hot link sandwich and potato salad. The service was good and the day was perfect to enjoy our meal outside. We will be back to try the restaurant. read more
