Picked up my 65 year old bumper for my classic old lady. Star Bright chromed it and she looks better than she could possibly have looked when she rolled off the assembly line in 1959. The bumper is so bright and reflective, it looks like a glass mirror. Anyone needing anything chromed, should reach out to Star Bright. These guys are professional, detail oriented, reasonable and just as important downright honest and fair. read more

Welp I got my bumper back! I had to eat humble pie because another customer actually DID have my bumper and that wasn't Star Bright's fault. I was a jerk but the guys were professional about it. In the process I got to see a little about how a small shop like this struggles at times which made me more understanding. The bumper looked pretty good. Left off one star because it did take a very very long time, and also the backside never got blasted so it was still a bit rusty. read more

Don't trust these guys with your parts. Worst shop I've ever dealt with. Lost some of my parts. Did a horrible job. Does not answer phones. Does not return messages. Is not open on Fridays as they state. Kevin Vanderdogg is the owner and does not take responsibility for anything. Other folks having the same problem. Quality sucks. Has zero customer service. 11 month to get some of my parts back. Lost the rest. Found some of my parts in Vancouver at a chrome shop that the owner said they never do biz with them. Wow!!! Just got my Heat Shields back from Star Bright Finishes and they look better than new. These Vance & Hines Heat Shields are one of a kind (not available new any more) and had heavy scratches and deep nick and dings in the old chrome. Kevin and his team removed the old Chrome, repaired all of the damage and re-chromed the parts..... Wow! Just fabulous work.... And the job was completed three weeks early... Beware. This shop has kept over $2000.00 worth of chrome plating and the parts I sent them to be chromed. I've made numerous phone calls and traveled to their location from out of state. I was promised the items would be complete for me to pick up. Nothing was ready when I arrived. No phone call messages have been returned despite the fact their answering machine says they will. Everything I've been told by this company has been a misrepresentation of the truth. I visited them to pick up my parts one year to the date of dropping them off for chroming. Nothing. Beware. WARNING WARNING WARNING!!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR PARTS HERE!!!! I KNOW THIS POST IS LONG BUT PLEASE READ IT ALL. I signed up for yelp just so that I could write this review. If you choose to go here after reading this I'll atleast feel like I did what I could to help. I wish someone would have warned me. I took 6 small parts to Kevin ( the owner ) on the day that I dropped them off I was told by Kevin "2 maybe 3 weeks to finish" and then on top of that he tells me "give me a call in 2 weeks and keep the fire on me" (so now it's my responsibility to make sure he does his job) so after 2 weeks I call and he tells me "we're just getting started on it and we will have it done next week" then again says "keep the fire on me and I'll get this done for you" ( every time I called he said this at the end) then a week later after I have not heard a word from Kevin I stopped by the shop. Kevin was not there but I talked to one of his employees who told me that they were just about to get STARTED on my stuff. I called Kevin who told me "we're working on it for you, I promise I will have it done a week from today no matter what" and then (after telling me that "they have been working on them for me") he tells me if you need your parts this weekend, you can come pick them up and use them for the weekend and drop them back off on Monday" then he says " I WISH I HAD SOME PARTS OF SOMEONE ELSES LAYING AROUND THAT WOULD FIT YOUR CAR THAT YOU COULD JUST USE FOR THE WEEKEND" exactly one week later I called back and Kevin tells me "my truck broke down and I've been working on getting it fixed I will have your parts done in 2-3 days even if I have to do it all myself" today is the 2nd of those 2-3 days and I just called and he told me "I'll have them back to you sometime next week" and then says " this process always takes 5-6 weeks and this is 6 weeks so it should be done any day now" read more

Well I haven't even been able to get ahold of the guy. Tried the website inquiry with attached photo. Two weeks later and no response. Just called the number given and got the "the mailbox is full" message. Not a good sign. Given the other reviews I think I'll move on. read more

I found these guys on a whim about three months ago, provided them with several small projects. Since then, I have provided them with in upwards of two dozen items to be handled. Yesterday, dropped of some more work and got into a discussion. I told them I had read a couple bad reviews, he said there was a period there was some minor issues, and it was explained that change in staff has solidified that. I can say from experience that I have been elated with their work and would have never got the impression they a had a bad review. Hell, I just picked up a 72 Ford 3/4 ton High-boy with a 460, with 36K miles, they will do all my plating without a doubt. All I can say is like any other business unless its an assembly line, there will be issues now and again. We always here the bad, dirty laundry is the american way=) Sad but true... They do really good work and do try to please the customer. Its a small shop and its difficult to keep a chrome shop in business. I had some trouble with communication but overall was very pleased with the work and the owner works very hard. They dont have a receptionist per se so dont freak out if you cant reach them. It will get done and the results are good. read more

I would like to give them a ZERO, but that was not an option. Do not give this business your parts or your money-you may never get them back. It took several weeks for my partner to get her brackets back and then they were pitted and looked terrible.Same thing when she brought them back to be re-done. Weeks overdue, no return calls, and once again-a very poor job with pitting all over the parts. Take my word for it-they will not be in business long,and they shouldn't be. read more

This place is the worst business I have EVER had to deal with in my life. Their "Estimated Date of Completion" was off by MONTHS, not days and the end result of their chrome job was substandard. They straight lied to me on at least 10 occasions about when my job would be complete. They did such a poor job the first time that they offered to fix the problem at no cost. They gave me an "Estimate" of two weeks and it took them 9 weeks to get the job done. Even the owner stated that the business has been a mess for the past 18 months. WARNING DO NOT USE - I dropped off parts TWO MONTHS ago at this dump and contacted the owner Kevin regularly to make sure he was on track to have the parts completed when my car came out of paint. He only answers the phone about 1 out of 10 times you call. Don't bother leaving a message, he will NOT call you back. He lies about his progress, he doesn't do what he says, never follows up, doesn't maintain regular office/shop hours (leaves early when he is weeks behind), etc. Just an absolutely errible businessman. I was worried about ever getting my parts so I finally went to the shop and demanded my parts back even though they weren't done. They weren't plated and only a few hours of polishing had been done in the last 10 weeks. Rediculous. I'll take them elsewhere to get them plated. So, if you don't care if you ever get your irreplaceable parts back and you love listening to excuses, by all means use these guys. Don't say you weren't warned! read more
