usually don't write reviews but its so good! boyfriend & i were running errands in the area thinking this was previously panda express for a quick bite but its a new restaurant served similarly. we decided to try it after we saw the food and its just as good as it looks, if not BETTER! full of texture and flavor, i got the noodles with the spicy shredded chicken & cucumber tea ; he got the pad thai with curry chicken & thai tea -we both agreed we have to come back. grateful it was healthier better quality than panda but just as fast and affordable! the staff was polite and helpful while answering our questions, served amazing portions with quality to-go packaging! the actual restaurant looks clean and the dishes full of food are well kept and some being covered which is great. dining is minimal making it incredibly convenient for quick to-go. thank you, we will be back! read more

New Thai casual eats spot that's like the Thai version of Panda Express and Chipotle. I visited here for a weekday lunch and my experience was decent. Starting at $9.99, the meal options are nicely priced! For my visit I got the duo set which comes with 2 mains, 1 base, salad and 1 sauce. For my mains, I got the sweet & sour pineapple chicken and the malay curry braised chicken. Both of them were pretty solid for a cheaper eats spot. I especially liked the creamy and flavorful curry. For my base I did half truffle noodles and half pineapple fried rice. I liked how the truffle noodles had good truffle flavor and weren't too oily. The fried rice was kind of disappointing though. It was on the dryer side and I didn't taste much pineapple flavor. For the "salad" they gave me a couple pieces of broccoli topped on my food lol, but they were the crisp and fresh vegetables that were needed in this combo. I never did get offered a sauce though. I also got a refillable thai tea and it was decent, but too sweet for me. You would need to dilute down with water. I wasn't a fan of the service. The staff serving my friend and I wasn't very friendly and looked annoyed with us. They have some seating inside and outside and some parking in the lot in front. I would maybe come back again if I was looking for a cheap and quick eat option in the area with variety and Asian flavors. read more

I found out about Star Leaf Thai Grill from a friend. Star Leaf Thai Grill recently opened across Beverly Center on 3rd st. I loved the drink I had, it was a mango drink. For the bowl I got pineapple chicken, truffle noodles, and honey shrimp (it also had some sesame seeds). Honey shrimp is my favorite, if I see it on the menu i always get it. I really enjoyed eating here. There's a variety from what you can choose from. The prices are decent no more than $15. You should definitely check out the place if you want to grab a quick meal. read more

I've heard good things about Star Lead Thai Grill and gave them a go this week for delivery. I do agree with others though, it's not really Thai - just general Asian as the food covers various countries. That being said, portions are big and prices are low so it's a great, fast option near Beverly Center. I had the Pad Thai Noodles, because of course I did and enjoyed it! The Sweet & Sour Pineapple Chicken was very tasty, as was the Pineapple Fried Rice. I liked it more than I thought I would. I loved the Honey Lemon Shrimp which was basically honey walnut shrimp without the walnuts. I like this place, but the misnaming of the restaurant and food items may prove to be a disservice for them. Now I liked the Truffle Noodles just fine, but they did not seem all that truffle-y. Similarly, the popcorn chicken, though good, seemed a bit uneventful compared to all the rest. Curry Braised Chicken is a brown based sauce, feeling quite savory over rice, but a bit too forgetable, as well. I like that their meals come with roasted carrots! I wouldn't call this place Thai but more Chinese style food with a hint of Thai influence. I have visited twice already during my lunch hour since they opened. Star Leaf is a newly opened fast food restaurant across Beverly Center. The place is kind of small with two tables for two people each and a few bar stools. I went here during lunch. It reminded me of Panda Express wherein you could order your base and main dishes. I had half egg fried rice and half noodles for my base and braised beef and squid for my mains. Food was great and filling. I didn't know that there were other choices for base because I only saw two trays without lids. I wished I was informed so I could have tried something else. I had Thai tea as my drink of choice and I love that you can refill as much as you can while dining. read more

I had seen a few friends posting about Star Leaf Thai Grill and since I happened to be in the area, I decided to give it a try. The concept is appealing as they say they are focus on healthy, customizable Thai-inspired meals made with fresh ingredients. From the packaging and branding, it seems like they are connected to Star Leaf Asian Cuisine in Pasadena and Orange County, but this location is definitely a quick-service version. I ordered the Duo Plate, which includes two main items, one side, and a drink. I ordered: *Curry Braised Chicken-definitely the highlight. It was very flavorful and tender. *Sweet and Sour Pineapple Chicken- just okay. The flavor was decent, but the texture was a little too gristly for my taste. *Pad Thai Noodles-a bit disappointing. They did not have much flavor, so I ended up using the extra curry sauce to help with that. For my drink, I mixed the Signature Thai Milk Tea with the Mango Jasmine Tea and it actually turned out to be a fun and refreshing combination. Parking was relatively easy. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall near the Beverly Center. I went at a time when it was not very busy, so I had no trouble finding a spot. Overall, the experience was fine. I appreciate the healthy and fresh approach to Thai food, but I am not sure if I would make a special trip back. Amazing! Didn't even get curry and that's usually my go to for Thai. This place had the most crunchy, juice chicken. The rice had every grain separated perfectly from one another and the most flavorful, buttery pineapple fried rice I've never had. First time. Not overwhelming but tiny little pieces of fresh juicy fruit. The shrimp were giant, plump and sweet. Mmmmmm.... Icing on the cake, a beautiful insulated bag delivered in. Just an amazing experience. Walked into the establishment that just opened. This is a takeout service that is part of the chain that is in Pasadena. Very friendly right off the bat and very excited to serve! The prices are really reasonable and a lot of à la cartes to add. Reminds me of a Thai version of Panda Express. You basically pick a box and you can choose as many sides as you want. The pineapple rice was really amazing, I do believe they have bits of ham in it. It's not too sweet and it pairs really well with the vegetables. I love the condiment on the side that they provide. If you like spicy, I'm sure you can ask for more. Their drinks to go include Thai tea as well as some non-sweetened drink. Very minimal place to sit inside with a few chairs and a bar counter, but definitely this is good for an order to go spot. read more

This new Thai restaurant did not disappoint. The server was friendly and attentive as I viewed all of the many options. I eventually settled on a delicious fried chicken and so very large fried shrimp with noodles and some crispy lettuce. It was all delicious and I really enjoyed it as soon as I got home 10 minutes later. The decor in the restaurant was welcoming and clean and shiny. Even the to go carrier bag was stellar, with a shiny interior that helped insulate it.!I will definitely repurpose that bag. I will DEFINITELY be back. Super convenient with plenty of parking (security guard at busy times) and several other to go and casual restaurant choices in this little corner of Beverly Hills - and the prices are good too! read more

It was quite nice. I tried the spicy shrimp and the honey shrimp and I got the truffle noodles. The papaya salad was nice and salty and hot and crisp with cool. I drank their cucumber drink which was really refreshing and they served it good and fast. I would have liked the spicy shrimp cold, but it was fine warm. The girl that was serving (I believe her name was Sunny) - looked extremely annoyed by me asking questions (I'm a first time customer so I was simply asking questions about their dishes displayed and she was very short with me). Popped in to this newer restaurant that I found on IG and wow, was so thankful to find them. Great tasting, fresh Thai food, and extremely happy they had wonderful vegan options for me an d were very accommodating in letting me know what I could and couldn't have. Had 2 proteins of flavorful Tofu and a slightly spicy pea/lentil protein mix that really surprised me (not like a fake meat substitute but a bountiful of flavor that I loved). I work nearby and usually bring my own food but i opened my container to find it had gone bad and the usual fast food options nearby aren't my favorite so I decided to give this place a chance and I'm so glad I did! The woman working behind the counter was so nice. The food was flavorful and affordable! Great portion for the price! I was expecting a larger bill.
