A6. Fried Wonton

We were in the area for an event and went to yelp for some guidance on Thai food. Thanks yelp for this recommendation! We ordered pad see ew, orange chicken and cream cheese wontons. The orange chicken and the pad see ew were amazing. You can actually taste the orange in the sauce and it was just marvelous. The wontons were tasty with a hint of curry flavor...just delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is very cozy and colorful![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The customer service was excellent and Taya was very nice and friendly! Glad to support a family-run business. If we are ever if the area again, we e will make sure to return here.

Combination fried rice!

The food was amazing! It started with an appetizer: combination of egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and shrimp wrapped in crunchy noodles! Followed by coconut soup w/ shrimp, mushrooms, and lemon grass with a hint of lime on the soup. We also had Pad Thai and combination fried rice. Don't forget the fried banana for dessert! Oh so good!!!!!! Tony, our server, was great! He was very pleasant and very fast service was rendered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was bright and cool. Place was inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When in town, don't forget to check out this place!

This place is amazing! Not only is the food so good, but the service is incredible. I've never had such fresh tasting crab Rangoon. You can't get service like this with delicious food everywhere. This place is a true gem! We even got premiere parking!

Delicious casual spot - the red curry (GF) was great and the owner was lovely. Even when he dropped the bill he encouraged us to stay and chat as he loves when his guests are enjoying good conversation. We had a great meal and felt very welcome.

Pad Thai - Rice noodles, egg, green onion, bean sprout, ground peanut

A colleague/friend and I were on a lunch break and as we were walking perhaps down to another place, I pointed out Thai Boom which she had never been to, so we gave it a shot. Simply, everything was decently good. Especially the value aka the lunch specials we chose to go with. The menu is pretty large so I would be interested in trying some other items. There is inside seating only (the place is not too large) with table seating with partial booths. Interior is casual and decorated nicely. Service was good and adequate. Parking is street only (metered or anything you can find). On this visit we tried the following: Fresh Rolls - Shrimp, chicken, lettuce, bean sprouts, carrot, basil, cucumber, rice noodles, ground peanut in hoisin sauce. Fresh tasting, and good portion for two. Two large rolls cut in half. Enjoyed the hoisin peanut sauce. Spicy Eggplant (lunch special) - Purple eggplant, bell pepper, jalapeno, onion, chili, basil and garlic. It came with a salad and a portion of rice as part of the lunch special. Friend enjoyed this. Pad Thai Noodle w/chicken (lunch special)- Rice noodles, egg, green onion, bean sprout, ground peanut. This was ok, nothing too special as it was missing the right elements (salty, sweet, etc) but good enough. It came with a side of rice and a salad.

Tofu Pad Thai Lunch Special (comes w/ a side of rice, salad & vegetable egg roll) *I ordered mine with no bean sprouts or onions

BACK AGAIN & it was amazing as always. This time I tried the Orange Chicken and it was so good and crispy. I have never tried Orange Chicken as crispy as this place before. Soooo good!!

Craving Thai Food yesterday, so I ordered Pad Thai noodle lunch especial for pickup. It was my first time trying their food, the lunch especial comes with rice and 1 pc egg roll, and the noodle. The taste is good, but it was little bit too greasy.

Certainly a no frills type of place but that doesn't mean that the food is bad, it's certainly flavored to keep customers coming back for more. Had the chicken Pad Thai, shrimp Drunken Noodles, and fried rice. The pad thai was the star of the show, sweet and tasty. The shrimp Drunken Noodles was good, the shrimp was great. I'd probably skip the fried rice. Did I mention really fair pricing? Definitely a great place to stop by if you're craving Thai food and around the area!

Thai Boom has been one of my favorite restaurants for almost a decade now. When I resided in Beverly Hills, I regularly went for dine-in and pickup, and when I moved to the Culver City area, I always came back before or after getting my nails done at the nearby salon, Nature's Nails. Even now that I have moved out of state to Nevada, whenever I am back in L.A. (which is regularly because of business), I make a point to set my lunch or dinner meetings here. Thai Boom has delicious Thai food with generous portions, an immaculate dining area, and fabulous customer service. It is conveniently located in Beverly Hills on Robertson Blvd (easy parking on Gregory). My only issue is how much pricier the dinner specials are than the lunch specials, but, it is still affordable. I will keep coming back!

Food and service is ok, but the portion was pathetic! Too expensive for a soup with three small shrimps and nothing more! 1

First visit to Emporium Thai and I already know this won't be my last…read more I walked in solo with a tight window between shows, which meant I had to be strategic. No leftovers, no over-ordering... a true test of discipline at a place like this. Started with a Thai iced tea that hit exactly right. Balanced, not overly sweet, and generously poured. Service throughout the meal was excellent. Attentive without hovering, and the pacing was spot on. I never felt rushed, which is rare when you're clearly on a clock. For my appetizer, I went with the Phuket wings. As someone who takes wings seriously, I can say these stood out. Crispy, flavorful, and coated in a Southern Thai curry sauce I hadn't experienced before. Rich, slightly sweet, with a depth that kept me going back for "just one more." For the main, I took the server's recommendation and ordered the Thai beef salad to balance things out. Smart call. The dressing leaned creamier than what I usually expect, but it worked. Bright, flavorful, and layered. I'll be honest, I couldn't quite finish it, but the beef didn't stand a chance. Every last bite. Dessert sealed the deal. The mango sticky rice, now famously known as the Cardi B Mango Sticky Rice, lived up to the hype. Perfectly ripe mango, warm sticky rice, and that coconut sauce tying it all together. Simple, classic, and done right. The space itself tells a story. Walls lined with photos of the owner alongside celebrities from all over. But what stood out more than the photos was the man himself. He made his way around the room, greeting guests, checking in, bringing real warmth to the experience. No hierarchy, no pretense. Everyone gets treated like they belong. Twenty-six years in and I'm just now discovering this place? Better late than never. Next time, I'm bringing a group and ordering everything family style. That's the move.

Long story short, pricey for very little portions and Thai food that doesn't impress :/…read more Seeing all the celebrity pics, my friends thought we'd give it a try but were underwhelmed by the portion of the food we got for the prices they charge. Everything tasted fine, but not as flavorful or 'seasoned' as how other Thai restaurants are. We recommend their traditional Pad Thai, as well as trying their Spicy Eggplant. I don't recommend the Massaman Curry as it didn't have much curry flavor and the coconut milk they put in basically overpowered the entire dish. Service was good, and ambiance was a modern minimal take. Street parking. If I were to recommend Thai food, I'd probably recommend driving more west towards the San Gabriel Valley area.

Personally, I'm obsessed with the Lamb Shank Massaman Curry and Pad Thai. The curry might be the best in the city. It was kind of funny -- I was already thinking that, and the father of the family next to my brother and me said the same thing to his wife. And the Pad Thai? Super thin, almost angel hair pasta-like noodles. SUPER. GOOD. I've never had anything from here I didn't think was exceptional. And this is definitely the only Thai spot I feel that way about. Only minor knock: I picked up my Pad Thai today through GrubHub and the interaction was a little odd. The owner, I assume, wasn't friendly, and my order wouldn't pull up on GrubHub, which is on me. He's probably used to delivery service drivers, but still, ask human beings "How are you doing?" before interrogating them. TLDR: the food is amazing. GO!!!

Service is excellent here and I recommend dining in for optimal dining experience. However, all my leftovers were still fire, as well. I would recommend getting all of these dishes: *~Green Curry Dumpling ($12) - This may be a sleeper hit but the green curry surrounding the steamed veggie dumplings is a nice level of spicy and just makes my mouth watering thinking about this appetizer. *~Crispy Duck Rolls ($14) - They're fresh & feel so refreshing to eat with a few pieces of roasted duck inside and their fresh Thai slaw with some hoisin sauce, all wrapped in rice paper and lettuce, of course. I'm obsessed with this appetizer, as well! *~Pad Thai Meltdown ($22) - This is the most fun spin on pad thai of all time! I'm a basic girl and goodness do I love pad thai. Well their recipe is absolutely delicious ~ but this dish has melted cheese on top, as well! It's not as weird as it sounds, it's actually amazing just making the dish taste more creamy, not really cheesy tasting. My only disappoint was they are supposed to grate & melt the cheese tableside and that didn't happen. I went on a busy lunch though so I'm assuming that's why we didn't get the tableside show! Maybe next time! *~Chef Katt's Special Fried Rice ($18) - If you're going to get a fried rice, this classic Thai one may be the one to get with sweet Thai sausage slices and bacon pieces throughout. Loved this fried rice! Honestly, this was the best Thai food I've had in ages! They are adding little spins on dishes to make them fresh and new, and most importantly - delicious! I'll be back soon!
