My person that completed my foot pedicure made sure the water was the perfect temperature, served me cold bottled water and gave me a pillow. This was my first visit to this nail salon after having noticed the nails of a stranger in the store. Having been in quarantine the last few weeks, I opted for a full set to include cutting my cuticles and pedicure. Note, I'm only allotting 2 stars because the pedicure was decent. I was so disappointed with my nails, the tech could not shape even after sharing what shape I wanted through pictures. It was so bad I refused to allow the tech to polish - I always opt for gel polish. She didn't argue when I mentioned I'm not paying for a service I'm unhappy with and I honestly felt really bad but I couldn't bring myself to pay double in having someone else at another salon to correct her shoddy work. My new favorite nail salon for pedis! I went for the first time today after searching for a nail salon on yelp. The #1 thing that attracted me were the prices. You get the most for your money here. I got a champagne & rose petal signature pedi for $30 & it lasted 45 minutes with hot stones, wax, massage, etc. I loved that I chose that one because everything was pink & pink's my favorite color. :) My nail tech was Hannah and she did a great job. Took her time & it was definitely a relaxing experience. It's not like other salons where the workers are constantly talking amongst each other seeming like they're talking about you. As someone with incredibly ticklish feet I generally avoid pedicures. However, my heels were starting to tear up the carpet so I gave in. I chose Star Nails after reading the 3 reviews on Yelp and I am so glad I went! Jenni just about put me to sleep, it was so relaxing. And I've never had a technician go above the calf with the massage but that girl went above the knee! For what they charged, I definitely felt the quality of service was above and beyond. I did have my tickle fit at one point and as mortified as I was she just kept apologizing. I said "Really, it's not you, it's me." She went through that part as quickly as possible without sacrificing the work. And not to discount the paint job, that was awesome too. This place it little but they can a really nice environment. The people working aren't in total silence the whole time or frowning. A couple of the workers doing manicures were laughing with the clients and with each other. I got a full set done on this visit, I was looking for a new salon in the area since my last one started to get really sloppy on their work. I started to feel like I wasn't an appreciated customer. They would do such fast, sloppy work that my nails would be lopsided and the polish goopy. I hated it. This place was a breath of fresh air. Their work was tidy and the place was clean. The only thing that did put me off was the way the gentleman did my nails. He put my acrylic on before he cut it to my length. It was weird but the nails look great. First, I called ahead of time to ask if they were full, because I don't like to wait. They said they could take me almost immediately. After I got there, they said I had to wait 15 minutes. After about 20 minutes, they said 10 more minutes. I was starting to get really irritated. When they finally took me, the lady started rushing on my nails and even started talking on the phone!!! She cut me twice on two different fingers, making me bleed. As an excuse she told me it was because I had a lot of cuticle. I am a new client who just started coming to this establishment. I would say this is my third or fourth visit and I must say I was very disappointed with the service I received today. My previous visits has been very relaxing and enjoyable with top quality service but I guess since I was not paying for the works and only wanted my eyebrows done the staff was not friendly. This is the THIRD and FINAL time this has happened to my polish after waiting 12 plus hours for them to dry. I got a pedicure at 12:30pm on a Friday. Saturday morning at 8:00am I get up to start my day. Nails are fine. Polish untouched and smooth to the touch. (I was checking my toes all throughout the day and night to be sure I did not smudge the nail polish as this has happened two times before)I run my errands for the day.... Come home to take a shower and this is what I get.... Dry to the touch however when I put on socks and shoes this has been the outcome. Three different visits with three different polish colors and the same result. I will no longer be doing business with Star Nails to get a pedicure or any other service. I don't know if the polish is old or what the problem is however there is no reason I should be walking around with toes like this after paying $40 THREE times. read more

I've had previous experiences here that have been great but, but today was the worst visit I've had at a nail shop... and I've been to manyyyyy nail shops. This lady didn't have a name tag, however I definitely should've asked for her name so I could never get her again, but she had nice brows that looked micro-bladed or tattooed and she had a bob, can't really remember if she had on glasses. I love the look of ombré toes (5 shades of one color in a specific order) and I've gotten it done there before. She seemed to have an attitude with the fact that U kicked 5 different colors but I'm the customer and this has never been a problem. she had to go over my toes multiple times (like 4 coats). After this pedicure I had a manicure but she made me pay for the entire thing before she started on the manicure which I've never had happen to me at any of the nail shops Ive been. I found it weird and she didn't give me a reason... at all. I wanted a flower design on my nails so I asked to see their design board that I've looked at numerous times before and she said they didn't have one and "looked" for it which was careless glance. I assumed she had an understanding of what a flower was, especially since I had a flower on my toes and I just wanted one just like that. She gave me something more of a lily that was in the corner of my nail. It was horrible and I didn't tip and I ALWAYS tip. I don't even know if I'll come back but they have a great price for their manicures but you have to get the right person or you'll end up salty like me. Very unimpressed. read more

I went here on a spur of the moment and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, cleanliness and customer service. They were wonderful. However, two days later, I am sorely disappointed in the quality of my nail fill. I chipped one corner the same evening and a second one this morning. It is now obvious to me that the fill was too thin and not strong enough to protect my natural nails underneath which are thin and weak. The absolutely worst. I've given this place so many chances. Today was the last chance. I come in this morning and there was no wait so as usual my daughter and I sit down to get our nails done ($3 kid polish and a powder full set) .. the lady started filing and buffing my nails. A lady walks in with no appointment and asks the wait time. They told her 5 minutes. They finished buffing my nails and told me that my nail tech doesn't do powder nails. She then asked me to wait 20 minutes. She walked away from me and my daughter and they both started working on the white lady who had just walked in (pedi and mani). 40 minutes go by so I ask to pay for my daughter's nails so I could leave. They asked me to wait 10 more minutes. I waited 15 more minutes and they still weren't finished. I felt like I was beyond patient, I'm actually a regular there AND I was willing to pay for my half services although it should have been free for the unnecessary inconvenience. I paid for my 6 year old daughter's rushed paint job and informed them that we won't be returning. That is ridiculous. Last time the tech I avoided today over-drilled my pinky nail to where it bled and she had to put liquid bandaid on it. After all of that, she overcharged me and then apologized but didn't correct the payment. First time I didn't tip. Stay clear from this place. They need more educated/experienced techs. read more

Went here yesterday for the first time. The woman doing my pedi used the grater on an area that had no corns or calluses which has resulted in a painful open wound on my foot. My mani was the worst I've ever had, with tons of bumps everywhere and polish all outside the lines. And the whole time they kept trying to get me to spend more money and Mary K tried to get me to give a bigger tip 3 times. If you want a good spa pedicure and manicure, check out Star Nails. They have a large variety in which to choose. The atmosphere is nice. Excellent service! Technicians are friendly. I just dropped in one afternoon for a manicure and pedicure. I tried the shellac nails and they lasted beyond what I expected. After 3 week they still looked great. No chipping or peeling. The pedicure was so relaxing. Got a neck message along with it. On the next visit, I took my sister and I thought she was on her way to heaven. She really enjoyed the massage and the thoroughness of her pedicure (45 min.). The cost was reasonable compared to other places. Helen did my nails and I love them. It was a busy place but overall got everything done in a reasonable time. Good service for what you pay. Got a pedicure also and they spent a good enough time on that. Overall pleased. My mom also got a pedicure from them but her police chipped due to old nail polish and this was 3 hours after she got them done, she is going back to get them repainted hopefully free of charge but I will update on what happens. read more

I went in today with a friend. Our appointment was set for 10:30. We came in and picked our color and were seated. My friend was seated right next to me and her water was instantly turned on for her pedi. I waited a good 15 minutes with dry feet for someone to come and turn water on. Shortly into the pedicure, I was cut. My toe actually began to bleed. After seeing this mistake, the lady was a little more gentle. I requested a fill for my nails as well. Another lady came over to give me a fill. She completed the fill while I was still in the pedicure chair and told me that we would finish up at the station. When I arrived at the station, no drilling took place to smooth out the acrylic. She then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to pay and add a tip before she put on the polish. I told her that I'd pay now but held off on the tip. She seemed a little offended by that. I'm glad I did not tip because my nails are not good. They are lumpy and the polish was too thick. You can see all of the imperfections in the acrylic through the polish. This was my first and last time trying this place. The people are sweet but the nail service is mediocre. I would've considered going back for a pedi if I wasn't cut. She did a pretty good job. read more

I would not recommend this place. The only reason I gave them two stars is because they have a pretty good variety of pedicures and salts to choose from. My friend and I got pedicures together and half way through, we saw a huge roach crawling on the floor heading toward our chairs. It started crawling on the wall behind us and the employees saw it and started giggling, doing nothing to attempt to catch it. The place is dirty and there's no place to put your purse so I had to keep mine in my lap the whole time because I didn't want to put it on the dirty floor. Plus the pedicurist seemed very rushed so it wasn't very relaxing at all. The place had a very strong smell of nail polish. The strongest I've smelled in a salon. read more

One of my worst experiences ever in a nail shop, I had my nails done by Helen, and not only did she give bad customer service but she also did a bad job on my nails. I showed her the picture of the length that I wanted and I told her that I like my nails shaped square. I showed the picture to make sure she would understand as this was my first and last time seeking services from this shop. She stayed talking to the other employees in the shop and did not pay attention to what she was doing. She shaped my nails round instead of square and then proceeded to tell me that it was my fault. She had an attitude and began to speak in Vietnamese about me. One of my hands is shaped round and the other square. If you decide to go here, make sure that you have clear understanding with the employee doing your nails. I will not go again to this place. read more

Was adamantly told yes but now getting pedicure done had them try & tell me a regular powder refill is the same. No they aren't! The techs never understand what you want because they don't speak English. I waited for manager of store, Michelle. She told me she could redo my nails since the shellac cracked in 4 days. When I went to shop Michelle decided she no longer wanted to redo my nails or give me refund. She was rude and blunt. I left and asked another nail shop how long shellac polish last. I was told 1 and a half to 2 weeks. I called Michele at star nails to explain my Nails hasn't been done over as week. She hung up on me. I called back 3 times. She would pick up phone and not answer. When I called again Michelle said " if you call me again you nigger I will call police". I went to police myself and reported the verbal abuse. The police had talk with her but could not get me a refund. I will no longer go to that shop ever again. I took my wife to this nail salon for her birthday to have her nails done and her eyebrows done. When she got home and showed me they were crooked they were over layered and had too much glue hanging off of them somewhere even incorrect size also they had cut her finger while polishing and left hairs around her eyebrows they were clearly visible. The next day we returned and asked if somebody else could do it we were told the person who had cut her was also the only person who can do it at this point I asked for a refund for the services and I was told that there was nobody there who could issue a refund and that I would have to return tomorrow. Also they tried to imply that I should leave the incorrect Nails on her so that the boss could see it tomorrow to make a judgement I am not going to make my wife's it to her birthday party with bad nails. We have now gone to a competing nail salon down the street called Thy nails and in correcting them they have taken off quite a bit of the material but they are finally beginning to take a decent shape we will not be returning 2 Star Nails. read more
