After just one visit, I am already a huge fan. This has quickly become my favorite place in town for chicken. The prices are reasonable, the food is excellent, and the customer service was outstanding. I also appreciate that they serve Alameda Soda Company beverages, which was a nice bonus. Great first experience at Starbird and I'm looking forward to trying it again soon! We got delivery, and everything was still crispy! But I think it would be BEST fresh, as our fries were a bit cold. (But still delicious, somehow, so I'm sure they're great hot!) The starbird sandwich was great, but the star sauce is just OK. In my opinion, they have better sauces than their signature. The bone-in wings were crispy and perfect! (Though I wish there was more meat on the bones of some of them- they felt quite small.) The eloté was good, though it's more of an elote salad (but this WAS the regular corn, not the chopped salad.) Elote is traditionally warm or hot. This was VERY cold - like out of the fridge. Really solid food! I couldn't take pictures because we ordered to go & we live in the springs but all of the food was great. I had a salad, my mother had a wrap, Hubbs & son shared the 20 piece, & daughter had the hot tenders. My only gripes would be is that you can't modify your order on the kiosk nor does the kiosk describe the salad dressings. The other issue is that the sauces are not marked in the bag so it's anyone's guess as to what is what including salad dressing as they are all the same size. Lastly when the orders are completed they show up on the screen for a short time but if you are not familiar with the process and your name disappears you can miss your order - no one will let you know otherwise unless you're checking the bags. This almost happened to us. However everyone was kind, the place was very clean and our order was correct with generous portions. read more

My first time ever going to a starbird chicken, and I am now a fan! I ordered the elote chopped salad. Yum! Their chicken is really good, lots of sauce options too. My kids got the chicken nuggets and fries. Our food came out pretty quickly. I loved the guava iced tea! Give it a try if you get a drink with your food. The staff here were nice. They have screens to order yourself but you can always talk to them if you have any questions or just order from a staff member instead. The restaurant itself was very clean. This was our second visit. Our first visit was the week they opened. We were greeted by a smiling employee. Ordering is a little difficult - the restaurant is pretty loud, so I had to ask him to repeat himself. The restaurant was busier this time, but still very clean. Employees were wiping down the tables as needed. Now, I know some complained about the price. Yes, it is a bit more expensive than the place across the street but well worth it. The chicken is tender and juicy. The breading actually has a flavor, and it is not cardboard like the place across the street. Plus, the tenders are huge! Went to the location in Denver and fell in love. I think this location is nice and as always the chicken is well seasoned and tasty. I love the local sodas and the many sauces. It's my second time trying this chain and at a different location. They are consistent in their chicken! Upon entering, they have 3 kiosk to order off or 1 in person. Plenty of seating for groups as well. We went here on a Thursday night and its got their Elote salad. It's jam packed with all sorts of tasty ingredients along with a jalapeño lime dressing. Because not all the sauces are listed on the menu, I personally asked for 2 lrg thai aoli for the tenders and 1 Caesar plus 1 thai aoli for the wraps. Have no idea what I received (see pic) and the red sauce on the tenders spilled everywhere! My fries were cold because I watched them sit on the prep counter while I was waiting for the food. When I asked the person filling my order (his initials are on my ticket) about my questions and the problems above, I was brushed off and told everything was correct. Everything tasted like grease. We were really looking forward to our first time eating here, especially because of the awesome menu, that includes a vegetarian chicken substitute. We went for the ribbon-cutting in grand opening. It was definitely a full-blown event! Having the DC cheer squad there was a nice touch and the line extended clear down all of the storefront that our neighbors. A little bit of rain did not stop anyone from having a great time and the atmosphere Syed was loud and fun! Tons of food and it was all extremely tasty. The truffle fries are very good. Quantity was good for 2 people. What can you say about service when you use a touch screen to order? A person was not taking orders. This leads me to the tipping screen. How can you ask for a tip if you have no interaction with an employee except for food delivery? People need to stand their ground and not tip unless there was exceptional service and I don't see how this restaurant model should expect tips. Software has made it way too easy to guilt you into tipping. I took off 1 star because of this. Restaurant was clean and a basic fast food place. Nothing special. If you're from Colorado, probably the best thing I could say about this place is it's an elevated Birdcall with the friendliness you'd expect from Chick Fil A.
