6-6-14 I stopped because I was looking for Organic, whole grain bread with the "berry" of the grains included with whole wheat and oat flours; honey used as sweetener as necessary. I like chewing the whole grains in the bread, letting them "dissolve" slowly in my mouth. I take in fewer calories and enjoy it so much more. It's been shown that flour starch changes into sugar in our bodies, which can drive us closer to Diabetes and flabby bodies. Sweetened breads, cookies, buns, etc., taste wonderful. All of us love sweetened foods, but be careful what you wish for. My doctor has shown me that I'm borderline Diabetic, but hey, I've been suffering for years from total nerve damage in my lower legs and my hands. It's called Peripheral Neuropathy. I have trouble driving because I can't feel the foot pedals and so I'm not sure where my feet are. My feet bleed and I don't know I stepped on something. I walked around for days, not knowing I had hurt myself. On the bottom and up the side of my big toe was a one inch diameter blood blister that I never even felt! I've had a sore on the bottom of my foot for 6 years! My shoes don't work anymore. I can't get them on! Folks, you don't want these problems. Don't become fanatics, but do take care of your bodies. You don't get a new one when this one breaks down. read more

I go here like thousands of other patrons for........you guest it!!! their empanadas! j/k I go for the senoritas like everyone else! Its really simple its just their pandesal bread freshly baked with honey and butter caramelized and crunched at the bottom. Think pilsbury crossiant rolls but 20 billion times more better with that added buttery sweet crunch and steam begging to be released when you rip one open and toss into your mouth. Great with coffee, hot chocolate, or tea. The fact its not legally classified as a donut or bread roll can make you compromise that its not unhealthy and actually good for you!!! order them by the dozens and don't even think about counting carbs or wondering if its a sin to pop 4 or 5 in your mouth on a sunday morning. read more

I cannot believe I grew up going to this place as a kid and NEVER tried the senorita bread up until my adulthood. I decided to stop by TapEx with my boyfriend and told him about how I should pick up some bread for the family before taking off. My girlfriend told me about senorita bread, but she didn't tell me it was like crack. We bought 10 pieces...and it was gone in less than an hour. My boyfriend was super impressed and told me I need to stop by here and buy more next time I'm headed to the parents. I could only imagine how many calories are in those things... read more

Starbread Bakery sells the best senorita bread, sweet breads and fresh croissants that truly ROCK! The bottom is brushed with a whisper of caramel You better get some extras cuz you will be eating them before you get to where your going. In the past they sold only their sweet crepes at the farmers market. Now they're focused more on the savory (think ratatouille and croque Monsieur). I particularly loved their savory options so I was happy about this shift! Check their Google Maps Page or their Instagram (Delicieuses.crepes) for the most up to date information. It looks like they actually claimed and respond on the Google Maps page and have directly replied to me on Instagram. If you didn't have a chance to try them before their break definitely check them out now! According to Google Maps they are hoping to open their own brick and mortar restaurant in the future. Let's show our local small business some much deserved love!

Guests are spread out and separated by goods for sale (think handmade items, food products, etc.) displayed on shelves and racks throughout the seating area. The service is attentive yet relaxed. The loose leaf tea was perfectly steeped and patrons were given the opportunity to choose another tea selection after the first pot if desired. Honey and cream were also offered upon request. The sandwiches were fresh and flavorful. The petite desserts were perfect. The homemade "clotted cream" was the best that I have had in the area (which is difficult to do here in the U.S.). Butter was also offered upon request. The 2 hour seating was more than ample and I appreciated the time to catch up with my friend. We never felt rushed. My only suggestion would be a more generously sized scone and for the scone to be served warm. I also loved that they came around at the end with a thank you - very thoughtful and unexpected. Unmetered street parking. ADA accessible with single parking spot across the street. Private parties of 10+ guests welcome. 100% will be back! So thankful for tea service in this area once again!
