I love this location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's so nice and clean and spacious inside with lots of tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And love the staff :) Miriam was very sweet at checkout, when I placed my order and love Ana! She made my drink exactly how I wanted it! She asked me specifics which I thought was so nice and she knows how to froth almond milk! So many baristas have trouble with it. I notice it first takes a good shaking of the almond milk since it tends to separate then she made it so nice and frothy, just the way I like it! Why go to the mall when this Waimalu Plaza location that has so many free parking steps away and has one of the spacious seating area ranging table for two to four where you're able relax, get work done or just take that moment for yourself. The only downside is I don't see any outlets to recharge your electronics. Layout is nice and organized so you're able to shop and browse their merchandise, grab and go items without interfering with the flow of the line to order is nice. The staff here is very nice greeting guests as they arrive and leave made my Matcha Latte perfectly in my new sparkling red cup does bring the extra touch of joy t my day off. Thank you! read more

Not for me, but it happened to my husband. The other day, when we came here(,, we often come this location but it was six weeks ago) and my husband ordered Iced Chai Tea with Coconuts milk. He said the "taste is weird, doesn't taste chai" and finally asked staff and they made new one for him. Today, we got our order and sit, one staff came to my husband and apologized to him about the six weeks ago's drink and gave him the SB card with message "next your drink on us". What a too nice!!!! I decided to come here to get my coffee fix. I always get the grande hazelnut oat milk shaken at every Starbucks when I crave coffee. This drink at this location was pretty strong. Other Starbucks I go to don't make it that strong. Whoa. It sure is a pick me up this afternoon. Lol I definitely liked the inside because it's so huge. They should add more tables because there's just so much dang space. Haha. I usually never get food from here only cake pops for my daughter when she's with me. Ambiance is nice. It's fairly loud in here but that's okay with me. I'm used to being around loud people haha. This location was convenient because the Thai village I go to is in the same shopping center. I would come back but maybe order something else. My favorite fruit drink is the mango dragon fruit refresher so I may come back to order that. read more

Bought drinks for my family after lunch. It was clean and empty so even if there weren't much tables, 7 of us were able to sit and talk on a long table. Chai tea latte - 5 stars - they made it just right. I was able to get half off one drink from a promo. Service was great. Very friendly and patient as all 7 of us ordered, and they got all orders correct as well as producing it quickly. However, their bathroom was out of service so we had to walk to city mill or the restaurant we came from to use it. Lots of parking, but just be aware of your surroundings outside the store since i noticed homeless sleep and leave their stuff near the entrance of the store, and had a pile of trash right outside on the walkway. read more

This location has great parking and it's usually not crowded. If you're looking for a place to study or chit chat with your friends, this is the place! The workers are quick and working hard behind the counter to get everyone's drinks out. I highly recommend ordering through the Starbucks app so you don't have to wait in line. If you order through the app, you can just wait at the pick up area. They usually have outdoor seating which is perfect for a nice day out! Today is Red cup Thursday. Website and email said order any drink any way and I ordered exactly what was suggested - iced Gingerbread oatmeal chai - and get a holiday red cup. Ordered online. Came for my order - no red cup. Asked the barista and she lifted an empty red cup and asked if that's what I meant. Replied "yes." She responded with "its only for hot drinks." Needed to leave so I didn't take the time to pull up the photo (posted) because I wasn't 100% certain if it was her or me. Went home and sure enough my iced Gingerbread chai was the suggested drink to get a red cup. So I have no red cup. Not happy. So only two stars today. read more

Bad service. I placed an order via app. I walked in about 10 minutes after I ordered and waited on the side. I was off and happy. Patiently waiting. Not one person said hi. After waiting for 15 minutes I went to the counter and waited for someone to ask if I needed help. Nope. I then waited for the cashier to service the last person in line. As she almost turned away I asked her excuse me am I at the right location. I showed her my order on the app and she said yes. She asked what's your name. I told her. She then asked what's my order was and she replied ok we're gonna make it. No sorry no thanks for waiting. I waited another maybe 7 minutes. Finally the other barista says my name and gives me my drink. Then she says here's two $4 gift cards but you have to use it here. I then said yeh know I didn't mind waiting but what was bad was that there's 5 of you guys and not one person said hi or can I help you, not one. I then said told her I didnt want the gift cards. And she said so sorry are you sure. And I said I'm sure and left. I am a regular, come here almost every other day for the last 3 years. They are so inconsistent with their drinks. I always put "no foam" because I personally think it's a waste of space. Today, I ordered a mocha with no foam. Instead, they put whipped cream on top. And then didn't even fill the cup. It's literally 1/4 empty! This isn't the first time this has happened. Seeing some other complaints about mobile ordering and I came to support them. Ive been here multiple times at various times of the day but morning is the most chaotic. Thats why Starbucks created the mobile order system. I order 20 minutes ahead of time and still have to wait 10 minutes in the store? For 1 bakery item? Ridiculous. read more

Caffeine in the morning. Located in the Waimalu Plaza, it's in the best location, right next to BLD. Not saying BLD has bad coffee (I know you read that review) but I come here before heading next door to start my morning. There's plenty of parking and its easy to pull into and out of the stalls. Inside, are the standard dark wood oak tables and chairs. There's a couple of wall outlets along the long tables but that appears to be it. So if you're going to work on a computer, these are the seats you want. And yes there is free wifi. The baristas are great and they have the typical Starbucks menu. Overall four stars. A great place to just chill or grab a quick cup of coffee. Now excuse me, time to head next door for a loco loco. M read more

THIS Starbucks, I feel always welcomed and love the employees interactions with their customers. Also always on it with their mobile ordering (Pick up station nearest to double doors on right side of the barista bar) Located at Waimalu Shopping center where Safeway and City Mill is also part of, there is more than enough parking. As it's at the corner of this shopping center near a driveway entrance/exit, this starbucks helps for fast pick up and go orders when you're on the run. This particular starbucks compared to others also has lots of seating with its spacious venue. From tall tables to regular tables with chairs and long benches to outside seating, this Starbucks is great for meet ups and students who need a place to study and has free wifi! The bathroom is in the back left corner of the store which was always up kept the multiple times I've used it which is a plus. If theres a line, a tip I have (also for all starbucks) is to just mobile order if your order is not to complicated and they have it ready in a timely manner. It's as if you stood in line from your chair! Lol. Btw, if you do not know what mobile order is please research on their Starbucks Gold Card Reward App. It's totally worth it! Barista organizing mobile orders, did not read out names for drinks causing inconveniences for myself and other complaining customers... got the notification stating my drink was ready yet waited for half an hour when my drink was on the counter, but was not placed in its according letter section. It was near the cold brew station, even though it was ready and was not waiting on any other items. Order sticker was also not visible for me to view my drink either. On top of this, my drink was made incorrect. Thank you to the male Caucasian barista for speaking up and telling the other barista to check on our orders because many of us were missing drinks. read more

I never drank Starbucks prior to 2019, as I wasn't keen at coffee. Starbucks Waimalu is incredible with not only providing top notch service but customer rapport is grand. Ambiance is always lovely as they tend to remember my order and always suggest, maybe try this today? It never feels pushy and I never feel uncomfortable when walking in. I've grown fond of many workers due to it being such a grand environment in the early mornings & post workout. It has become habitual and routine-like to go at least 3x a week to see their smiling faces and I will continue to go. I hope all Starbucks locations mirrors this one and would highly recommend this location. Starbucks has gotten very disappointing with their drinks. Today I ordered a grande brown sugar shaken express for $6.50 and they filled up the grande cup to only 3/4 the cup which is the size of a tall size drink. It's very disappointing how skimpy Starbucks has become. They are not honest with their business by giving their customer less than what they paid for. Okay okay okay Yelp I'll write a review for this Starbucks store! My checkins show only two but I've been here numerous times when I'm in the Waimalo Plaza. It's a convenient stop for me when I'm at Aloha Ship and Pack or City Mill, both of which I'm a frequent shopper. Stopped in yesterday after dropping off packages to ASAP with Sofie in tow. There is no issue taking her with me here as they just smile and fluff her head saying they're glad she could join me. She gets a cup of water which she happily accepts. Me, I love the shaken Ice Teas and sadly nobody fluffs my head! Yesterday was the Berry Sangria herbal tea, YUMMO! I can't drink anything caffeinated after 10:00 so these teas are a wonderful way to refresh and hydrate later in the day. I get the giant size, whatever that is, and sip away for an hour. I have another Starbucks for early morning coffee but this shop is always tea. The shop is large compared to others and has seating both inside and out with free wi-fi. Found my newest fave drink here, the Tokyo nitro draft. I get it w/o the mocha sauce. But the matcha cold foam is DELICIOUS. I also add cinnamon powder ontop of it. Thank you Starbucks Waimalu!! This location is a great example of excellent customer service. I went in today for my daily coffee fix after grocery shopping. I forgot my phone at home but didn't want to go back home to grab it. This is how I usually pay for my coffee on the app. I was helped by their friendly barista Kelsey who was so patient as I tried to pay with my card. Technology is not my friend some days tries to mess with my feelings haha and today was one of them ugh. As I tried to get past the tip screen the system kept freezing. I did try to input a tip but it kept freezing. As a line formed behind me I tried to hand her my card to process. Without hesitation she spoke with her manager came back and took care of my order! I will be sure to pass it forward the aloha shown to me today. read more
