Out of all the Starbucks I've visited within the last decade or two this one is within the top 2 of my list. The employees here always seem to make me feel welcome. They were fast to complete my drink order, listened to my mom jokes, and even called me by my first name like a long time friend that knows me. I got a grande cookie cream frap with nonfat milk although I also had it with whip cream on top. I originally failed to ask for it without the chocolate drizzle. (It's been a long time since I've gotten that particular drink.) It was fine though. The batista Grace was again quick and fixed it for me right away. It was a nice little treat before work. It's quiet and calm and cute inside. This is not a very large Starbucks, but it's still very nice and it definitely has my approval. read more

Extremely slow. We mobile ordered at 2:20pm on a Wednesday afternoon. It said our drinks would be ready at 2:27. When we got there, It was not busy inside the store at all. We had to wait until 2:41 to get our drinks which is a long time to wait for a mobile order. Meanwhile, the girl working was rude to her coworker while we were there which was also a turn off. I've grown up going to this Starbucks since it is down the street from my parents house. In the last 12 years going here, there's never really been a sense of urgency. If you are not in a rush, you could spend the time here, however if you want a quick coffee, this is not the place for you. This morning (Sun July 17th) my partner and I came in to order 3 Coffee Travelers. The cashier looked and me and said it was going to take a second to order and we asked how much time was actually a second. The mobile order app said it would take 70-90 minutes for "prep time." A barista said well it should take 5-7 minutes for each brew so probably about 20-25 min total. We said that is better than the mobile app. She sort of stood there expecting to tell her that was too much time to wait and watched a conversation between what looked like a supervisor and the employee while looking at us as if it was a burden to make the travelers and that the money wasn't worth it. Doesn't seem like a good work ethic to me especially when there was no one in line behind us. At first they told us they don't have bulk decaf bags and then after conversation they had found a "hidden" bulk bag. Again it gets like a burden to take the time to brew coffee for an order. I am always looking for healthy breakfast options, and today I was passing through Alamo. On a rainy Saturday morning, there were very few options in town. I really like the selection of breakfast sandwiches they have here. No, they're not going to win any Gourmet Awards, but they are fast, relatively low in calories, and reasonably priced. My sandwich was only about $4. I ordered the turkey bacon and cheese sandwich, which is posted at 210 calories. That's a little hard to believe, but it tasted pretty good. Probably, most men will not find one sandwich enough. They are fairly small, a little smaller than a McDonald's McMuffin. After my meal, I noticed they have an egg sandwich called egg bites. They're pretty light meal for about $4.45 for 2. Probably not the most gregarious people around, but they were working hard serving customers. Whilst I was eating my 210 calories sandwich, a regular stream of customers came up and were promptly served. Seems to be pretty well run. read more

The attitude of some of the workers is unbelievable. Overheard a conversation of a man who was waiting 20 minutes on a mobile food order just to find out they were out of the item he ordered. When I was waiting in line the girl taking orders seemed to be a bit distract tho there wasn't a line behind me and was just very fidgety. She had some other guy take my order, which was fine cause I knew exactly what I wanted. When I was getting my food item she didn't say my name and just threw it on the counter. This newish iced pineapple matcha is realllllly good! The matcha is not overpowering and the coconut milk gives it a light sweetness with the pineapple overtones this drink is yummy! 5 stars for the Starbucks App and this location. These guys always seem to be on top of mobile orders. I like how the have a spot up front at the pick up counter where they place the drinks now, so I don't have to wonder and ask if my order is ready. I wish they had a place to add a tip when ordering via the app, but my guess is the baristas do better with cash! It's king! read more

My go to drinks early in the morning or during grocery shopping are The matcha green tea sweetened The Carmel macchiato upside down (Carmel on top) On a day that I need something strong I do my flat white! It's a pulled long shot of coffee topped with steamed whole milk down the center On a warm day or the afternoon I love love my Pink drink It's like a strawberry and cream healthy -ish drink , the purple drink which is made with dragonfruit ( which I only had because they ran out of the strawberry drink) and my iced green tea Love them all. Very bad experience. Waiting for 20 minutes for a Bagel and ended up cancelling the order. When I told Collion that it is not fair for your customer waiting for 20 minutes for a bagel, he told me that it is not fair for us either because we are under staff. It is really not my responsibility that he is under staff or not fair for him. Very bad management! I'm local and always get my coffee here but decided to buy my coffee machine and do it at home instead. They were in a huddle, talking and laughing and sipping drinks with masks removed. I was shocked the staff didn't say anything to them. Walked around and then went back five minutes later, thinking by that time they would be gone. Nope. Still standing there, enjoying their coffees, masks removed. No way was I going to go inside. Not sure how much longer they were allowed to continue as I left. With Covid cases spiking, this is unacceptable. read more

I'm on a Starbucks review revolution...so I'm starting all of my reviews with this standard statement. If you're stalking me (totally kidding...sort of) and reading these in order, skip to the next paragraph. Let me qualify my review by saying, I'm one of those Starbucks once daily (sometimes twice daily if I'm evil from being overly tired) people. I frequent many a Starbucks and completely disagree that all Starbucks are created equal. I'll agree that the coffee is generally consistent, but the attention to detail (like 190 degrees), the cleanliness of the store, whether they can keep drip coffee made, how fast they can make drinks, ability to not lose drinks etc is all over the board. So I agree with Andrew K, this is one of the better Starbucks. They have friendly staff that try to go above and beyond when they can. For instance, I came in here on crutches when I partially tore 2 ligaments in my ankle (long story), and the barista ran around the counter to bring my americano to me, rather than calling out my name and having me hobble over. This place is generally clean and they never mess up my drink. It's a little small, but the set up is okay, so if there is a long line, I can peruse the coffee paraphanalia for sale on my way to the counter. I would say more but I don't want this Starbucks to get too popular (plus I want to remain the Duchess)! read more

A lot more fancy folks than your usual Starbucks, but hey, it's Alamo. It seems they recently remodeled and moved their sugar/milk station closer to the door and away from the front counters. That's a good thing-previously it was right behind where the lines form. This new layout is much more clean and easier to navigate. Parking is usually not an issue but it gets busy trying to pull in and out from Danville Blvd which is heavy with traffic most mornings. I've also noticed they tend to cut up sample treats and put them near the register more often than other Starbucks. The staff can be hit or miss on their friendliness but they do keep the line moving. Even during the morning rush, I was on my way pretty quickly. This is a great Starbucks! I came for a quick holiday drink and they had all COVID safety cautions in place. They removed their outdoor seating, had plastic guards up between the guests and the baristas, and there was no one inside but me. The drinks are great as they always are at Starbucks. This is my neighborhood Starbucks. There is ample parking in the mornings because the plaza shops are closed. It gets pretty busy here and the line will flow our of the door, but it's the closest Starbucks, unless you want to drive all the way to Walnut Creek. I like the service. There is outdoor seating available. Just be prepared to not look like a total bum there because if you are from the neighborhood, you will always see someone you know. :) read more

But I only like one teabag (which it states), but their protocol is 2 so they usually miss it or wait till I arrive to ask? And it's nice when they steam that coconut milk keeping my tea hot...yeah yeah I know...but it's oh so delicious! As far as Starbucks go, this place is pretty subpar. Been late quite a few times because they don't operate at a regular Starbucks pace.

This is by far the most unorganized group of kids who work for Starbucks. I have used the mobile order here a handful of times and each time my mobile order takes longer than it would have to stand in line. A few of the times I saw my order sitting in the back. Other locations call out your mobile order, but this store you have to squeeze your way to their glass window, stand on your toes to see if your cup is somewhere cooling off in the back, then interrupt them from what they are doing only to ask if your drink is ready and to receive an annoyed look from the barista. Some Starbucks are better than others. This one used to be one of the best one around years ago. Management must have changed because the service is terrible now. I keep giving them extra chances because hey, anyone can have a bad day. They often chat behind the counter amongst themselves while customers have to wait. I really don't mind that unless it's consistent, which it is here. The last 2 times I went in they were out of Soy. The first time I waited in a long line only to be told "Oh, sorry, we are out of soy." The second time was 12:30 on a weekday. It was empty so that was good since I was in a hurry. "Sorry, we are out of Soy" Whatttttttt? I asked him "How can you be out of Soy?" he said "We used up too much Soy". .....Seriously?? After 8 attempts at redeeming this Starbucks, i'll just go to Peet's down the street. read more
