I ordered 4 bagel sandwiches and only 1 of 4 were made correctly. They don't write orders down. He asked me multiple times to clarify each order as he was making them, my orders weren't complicated, and they were still wrong. Me and my husband were out in Alamo this Sunday and we decided that we wanted to have a bagel for breakfast so we went to Bagel St., Café because we like the one in Walnut Creek. They've been really friendly and they taste really good. Well our bagel was good, but the service was terrible. The guy working behind the counter was very pushy and had an attitude problem. He was heavyset, Hispanic male as we sat there and we're eating our breakfast. We were listening to him being pushy with other customers. It was very unpleasant, listening to him and how he was so pushy and negative with other customers. I really think that he needs to change up his attitude and be more friendly. Came here 10/27/20. Although I wanted breakfast, their sandwiches caught my eye and I decided to go with one of them. Of the bat, I noticed it was understaffed. Literally one person on register and another person in the back. Only 2 employees! Lucky me when I came in, because after a huge line formed. Seriously, what kind of bagel shop is CONSTANTLY out of bagels? Since the new owner took over, their one job - literally their primary purpose for existing - seems beyond their capabilities. I've lost count of how many times I've walked in only to find empty baskets where fresh bagels should be. And when they actually have bagels? The quality is disappointing at best. Add in the staff's indifferent attitude about the whole situation, and you've got a recipe for frustration. Save yourself the pointless trip and go somewhere that understands the basic concept of keeping their main product in stock. This is one of the best bagel shops I have ever been to. Right now, they have both indoor and outdoor dining. They installed plexiglass at the register and everyone is wearing gloves and masks. They encourage social distancing while ordering, showing where customers should stand in line. They have a vast amount of bagels to choose from, and they are baked fresh daily. Usually, when they run out, they literally ran out. My favorite bagels to choose from are Onion (flakes), Sun dried, and Garlic bagel. The only cream cheese spread I get is the sun dried tomato cream cheese. In my picture, I got double the dose of sun dried tomatoes and it honestly tastes like a pizza bagel. I truly enjoyed it and it was super crunchy and crisp. The price for it is a bit high ($3.71). However, the taste is just too good. I think it's cheaper to just buy a dozen bagels and spread. But for just wanting a quick bite to eat, I wouldn't mind dishing out the cash for it again. read more

I have been coming here for years and lately my son is loving their bagel with salmon lox, capers, tomato, cream cheese, and red onion. All their bagels are tasty. Great neighborhood gathering spot with some indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking. Since it's away from the Safeway and Peets it is a slight less hectic part of the mall. They do run out of bagels so on a weekend it's best not to wait too long to get there. My only criticism is the flow of the line. You would think the start of the line should be obvious when you walk into the restaurant. It's not. You need to walk to your right and towards the refrigerated section. They should start over and redesign the space which would give them more interior seating and a more logical setup. read more

I just recently stumbled onto this place when I was hungry and in the parking lot looking for something fast It was lunch time and most of the bagels were picked over but I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich which was definitely a step up from Noah's. It came with pickles onions lettuce tomatoes and peppers and even cucumbers. Seems like they have a pretty decent spread of bagels and cream cheeses as well. I ordered lox schmear on Asiago cheese bagel, my son ordered Asiago Jalapeño with cream cheese, and my husband ordered the everything bagel with lox schmear. Not only did it get exceed my expectation, it blew us away how delicious the entire experience was. Yes, it's an experience. The first layer is when your teeth meets the top of the bagel where it's properly toasted, then it cuts through to meet the lox schmear on the other end. BUT!! That second layer of schmear felt like it was endless. The ratio of schmear to the bagel was ON POINT! They taught me how I was bagel-ing incorrectly. Wait!! There's more! The finishing glide from the schmear to the bottom of the bagel. Oh snap! It felt like a whole a$$ sandwich. There was a give at the end from the chewiness of the bagel. My first time here and was in the mood for a lox jalapeño bagel . I happen to by driving by so I decided to try this place out . Unfortunately it wasn't the best experience for a bagel place . 1st off as you can see in my picture below they were out of over 7 different bagels including my favorite jalapeño bagel . I went yesterday to order a tuna sandwich for lunch. The menu price is $5.45. I was charged 8.91. When I asked why, I was told it costs 60 cents extra for lettuce, and 60 cents extra for a pickle slice and 60 cents extra for a slice of onion. I have never heard of charging extra for lettuce, onion and pickle on a SANDWICH. I looked at the menu, nowhere does it say lettuce is extra. LOL I asked to cancel my order and was told I could not do so since they were already making the sandwich. I asked for a manager or owner and was told there wasn't one. The spot is out of most common beagles by 9-10am. 9 full sheets of the bread no one ever gets but plain, sour dough, and most other favorites are always out. Who am I to turn down free carbs? Yes, I will not only get a bagel, but give me that asiago cheese puppy with spinach baked in! Even with cream cheese on them, they are flavorless (well they taste like the cream cheese and the cream cheese only). This problem extends to some of their other food.
