Every time we come to this Starbucks, we wait for 15+ minutes in the drive thru. We had an event to go to and we had more than enough time to get a coffee and be on time. We ended up late because we sat FOREVER while the car in front of us chatted with the drive thru lady. It was absolutely ridiculous. Used to have really pleasant experiences here, this is the second in a row bad experience. I get passion tea probably 70% of the time. I drink it plain as it comes no sweetness. Tried it today and it tasted fruity and sweet. So I went back, and then I realized this could be one of two refresher bases. I am an ex barista so I do know a little bit about what I am talking about. I used to drink the passion tea with dragonfruit base sometimes before I realized I liked just the passion tea taste. I know its not liquid cane either so I was guessing it was the strawberry base. I started to panic because I am indeed allergic to strawberries. So I went back hoping whoever made it wrong would be able to tell me what they put in it so I could have clarity on whether I need urgent care. They made me a new drink and were discussing with their backs turned and no one would admit to messing it up. The guy at the window was just saying "they said they didn't put the fruit base in it." and i was like well can you tell them that I am allergic its pretty important that I know. Still no one would tell me. I understand not remembering, but to just repeatedly insist no I didn't instead of trying to at least attempt to help me calm down because again, I have an allergy... Really disappointed, I am almost positive it was strawberry because I am starting to feel the reaction coming. It's Starbucks. Always going to be decent but the price hurts. Also it was just so weird I kept getting compliments, like "give me your number," "you're cute," and like "can we go on a date?" I'm just like so tired of all these compliments of being tall and handsome. There was one customer in the store, plus me waiting for drinks. I'm standing up by the mobile pick up area and the employee making drinks can clearly see me. I ask her if she has a drink for me. I'm ignored because she's too busy talking on her headset about non-work things to another employee sitting across the room at a table doing nothing. I ask again louder this time if she has a drink for me. She told me yes she had it right there and then outs down a drink on the counter farther away from me. I pick it up and look at it, then and take the lid off. Then she tells me that's it's not mine. I felt bad because it belonged to the only customer that was waiting. He was nice about it though. These employees need to COMMUNICATE with customers, instead of ignoring them. Then she forgot my whipped cream so I had to ask someone to add it. It's was okay I always order the peppermint mocha coffee but always at the bordentown one they leave out some of the peppermint or something cause I can barely taste it, other places do it better I don't know why. For the most part this location does a decent job in delivering good, temperature appropriate food/beverages. On many occasions they've forgotten to give napkins, condiments, and/or handed items out of the window one by one rather than putting everything into a bag. Comfortable Star$$$ in the Acme Shopping Center just south of Bordentown off Route 130. Not a fan of their burnt approach to java, but sometimes it is the only option in the vicinity. The Flat White was fine, but the prices are designed to make the stockholders happier than the customers. This shop was well laid out with ample table and comfortable seating around. My drink is a ice soy latte. I've gotten many many times, but never like this at Bordentown location. Twice it's happened to me in a week. The bottom of my drink has a white chalky chunky substance. The first time I did not notice it will I was drinking it and it was off. The second time this morning (7-24-18) I looked before drinking and again the same white chalky substance. Pretty standard Starbucks in a sleepy town shopping center. They do have a drive through which is nice. I also like their newer interior design with LED lights. As for the drinks. The Chai Latte was a bit watery, though the Soy Latte was good. So mixed results on the drinks themselves. read more

I went back for a refill of my iced tea small size and the girl in the photo refuse to give it to me after being here close to two and a half hours. She said that my cup look like it went through a dishwasher which was more than rude and unprofessional. Starbucks needs to retrain many of their employees that are absolutely horrible to customers or fire them. Not to mention overflowing trash cans inside and out. Terrible management at this location. The best Starbucks I know. The batistas here are the best. I've asked them to just make something up for me several times and each time they've given me something that I thoroughly enjoyed. So I trust them enough to just pay and let them surprise me. Not to mention the energetic and friendly vibes they're always radiating. They'll also always make sure that they get your order right. If you don't like it, they're more than happy to redo it to your liking. And this isn't some corporately enforced attitude. They are genuinely willing to redo your order and make it right. The store itself is setup well. It's nice and cozy in the corner and also has good spots to just study or to do work. People are always here chillin. The store is always kept clean. Almost every time I come in, someone is cleaning some part of the store. Out of all the Starbucks that I've been too, this is definitely the most well run. The employees were fun and super nice. The coffee from the barista was just okay. I think the outside of the building looks nice (it appears newer and well kept). The fact that there is a drive thru is fantastic. Starbucks is harder to find in this area as Dunkin Donuts trumps it (I'm a huge disliker of dunkin donuts). I really only came here once. It was on our way to Cape May and I was having a serious crave. We really only popped in and out (definitely less than 10 minutes) which much to my surprise is a GOOD THING! Anyone knows its VERY rare to do that at a Starbucks when you're not using the mobile app. You know the saying, first impression and all that, well the atmosphere and cleanliness definitely made an impression... a good one. The staff is very friendly and happy to serve you. The location is very clean and contains several lounging areas as well as tables and plugs for those of us who want to get work done. I travel a lot for business and this is by far the worst Starbucks that I have ever entered. Dusty and dirty, my regular order did not taste right. I threw it in the trash can after I left. The staff were rude, inattentive and talking amongst themselves. I can't imagine the local residents actually go to this location as they had no customers. No one greeted me when I walked in and they seemed bothered to have to work. Unsure of how to prepare my beverage, they were talking to each other and I had GREAT concerns about the cleanliness. I would encourage anyone coming off the turnpike or passing by to keep on driving to any other Starbucks. This one wins the prize for the worst Starbucks in the country. A great place to grab a coffee on the go or whether you need to take a moment to relax and sit down. They have comfy chairs for group conversation as well as tables both indoors and out to sit at. They have a nice selection of coffees by the bag that you can take home as well as cups, mugs and teas. Now they have packaged snacks for your indulgences too! The staff is always great and willing to help and make your drink the exact way you want it! I especially like the versatility in Starbucks which really puts them ahead of the competition when it comes to Wawa or Dunkin Donuts and most other coffee companies. They can make just about any drink (with the exception of teas of course) caffeine free by making them cream based instead of coffee based. And actually I believe they have caffeine free teas as well...so virtually any drink can be made without caffeine. They are also friendly towards those who want the drink they love but at a "lighter" approach. They have light frappucino's which have less calories and still taste great! They are always introducing new seasonal flavors as well and I can't wait for September 1 when the bring out the Pumpkin Spice flavor! Another great thing about this particular Starbucks in Bordentown, NJ is that (shhh) but they make drinks from the "secret menu." So if you knew about Starbucks' secret menu and have always wanted to try one of their special drinks - now is your chance! I know not all the Starbucks participate in making drinks off the secret menu, but this one surely does and I can't wait to try the cream based Pumpkin Cheesecake Frappucino (of course making me wait until September 1 is the only downside) but that is more of a corporate decision unfortunately. Anyway, this Starbucks is great and I highly recommend stopping in to grab a drink whether it's a hot coffee during the winter or a cold yummy frappucino in the summer...or vice versa! As an avid Starbucks lover i find myself always being unsatisfied with my drinks from this location due to the fact that they are being made incorrectly. If you order an iced shaken espresso make sure to tell them to add the classic syrup which automatically comes with the drink since it is often lacked when I order it. This is my hometown Starbucks and I visit about 3 times a week. The staff is really friendly and the drinks are pretty much always good. You know you visit too much when they know what drink you get. They do have a drive-thru here, so that is convenient, but sometimes when you go inside, it feels like they're only taking care of making the drive-thru drinks, but I get why they would not want those people waiting long. The atmosphere is good and I sometimes go there to study to get out of the house. Compared to other Starbucks, they don't have too much seating though. read more
