people sitting at tables outside a starbucks coffee shop

I visit this Starbucks every time I'm in Brentwood and it never disappoints. I'm a "coffee in the morning" kind of person, so my visits are always during the morning rush. This place is always slamming between 7am and 9am, but there's a hustle to this team that is amazing. It's not uncommon to walk in and see a dozen or more drinks already prepared (I'm assuming ordered on the SBUX app), waiting for someone to come in and pick it up. The inside can get a bit crowded, as busy as they get, with people both waiting to place their order and then waiting to pick them up. Yes, it can be a bit chaotic with all that, but there's a method to this madness. The staff is busy preparing drinks and breakfast items in a strangely choreographed manner. They all work fast and focused and with as many times as I've visited, none of them has ever appeared frustrated or unhappy. Even when asking for suggestions or questions, the staff replies helpfully, not as it you're interrupting their work flow. My only complaint (and it's not one that I'd take a star away for) would be the design of the location. From the door to the counter to the waiting area requires you to cross paths with a bunch of people, causing confusion and congestion. A second door close to the ordering counter would do a lot to alleviate that kind of mess.

Updating a review from a few years ago. How far this Starbucks has fallen. It went from being the best around to the absolute worst. Out of oat milk, out of almond milk, out of coconut milk, EVERYDAY! Don't prompt me to order "my usual" on the app if you don't have the ingredients for my usual. They used to be super friendly. Now they don't even look at you when you walk in. Hard pass on this place, unless you're into disappointment.

One of the best Starbucks experiences that I have had! I had a free drink gifted to me that I needed to use and decided to stop in to claim it. This Starbucks was SLAMMED for some reason at 3PM and there were only two employees running the place. When I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted with a cheery welcome. The two employees were frantically making drinks and running around the counter to hand deliver them all while constantly updating the people standing in line that they had just one more drink to make before we could be helped. I wish I caught the guys name because he was so incredibly fantastic at his job!! I ended up getting an iced Caramel Macchiato (my go to) and it was delish as always!

This is a crazy-busy Starbucks but the baristas are especially friendly. I don't like the store layout - you have to squeeze past mobile order and pick up to get to the registers to order. Seating is also tight so it's not designed for guests to linger or have coffee shop meetings.

Good little spot for takeout only. Good staff. Clean store and good coffee. Worth a stop if you're just hammering out a mobile order.

I do think the food is better than that of most coffee shops, but I don't actually eat the food often. I've found the service to be good and for the staff to be friendly, but they only have one register, so the line may be a bit long if they are busy. It can be a bit loud, it it's a pleasant place to sit and drink coffee. The Well will normally have three pour over choices that are from their limited time offered beans. They see very fruity and flavorful, and I really enjoy that kind of coffee. They make them right where you can see them do it, and It's fun to watch the process. I've often come to try the pour over only to later buy a bag of beans for home. When you do, you get a free 12 ounce drip coffee. However, to be honest, the drip offerings seem rather mediocre to me. I would not go there to buy the batch drip coffee. I do know they have a good cappuccino, though. I debated lowering the rating when I thought about their main medium roast blend on drip - Confluence. They had a blend of Ethiopian and Kenyan beans, and it was some of the best coffee I ever had. Now, they've rotated to a blend of beans from Ethiopia and New Guinea. I bought a bag thinking it would be similar to what I had before, but it just wasn't anywhere near as good, unless you brew it as espresso. However, it's really the pour over that I drink here, so I'm keeping the eating at five stars.
