Gave me the wrong flavor... Ordered a caramel frap, tasted like a bold coffee or mocha. Ordered the smallest size for $3.75 and it was only 3/4 full, the whip cream took up another 1/4 of it. 1/4 was full air. There's lots of seating inside and out. Cashier and workers super friendly. Even gave me a free shot of the pumpkin spice latte. Probably won't come back to this specific location in the near future unless they offer a coupon or lower their prices. read more

The parking lot honestly sucks, and on a busy work week morning, I bet this place is hell. My friend and I are addicted to the seasonal new product: Salty Caramel Mocha Frap. We purchase it everywhere we go. On 10/21, we went to this one by my apartment. I ordered the frap, and my friend ordered the hot one. She got it first, she too a sip and told me it's not right. It tasted like hot chocolate, no caramel or coffee flavor whatsoever. I got mine right away. Just by looking at the color, I knew they made it wrong. It should look like caramel color, but instead, it looks like chocolate color. Plus, its iced, not frap. We both checked the writing on our cup and it wrote as "SCM frap/hot with salt on top and blend in". it seems correctly based on our requests, then it must be the barista's mistake. I even questioned if she knows how to make it. We returned our drinks and they remade it. The cashier apologized and explained its his mistake. We both knew its not true. He even took the drinks back. I so should take pictures to support my theory. Surprisingly, the second time, we got the SCM drinks we wanted. It turned out the barista does know how to make it. I still do not know the answer why she made it totally incorrect for both our orders in the first place. Btw, she did not apologize or say thank you which I found it odd cos usually the employees in Starbucks are full with enthusiasm, maybe she had a bad day. Am I going back? Definitely not! This Starbucks is in the prime location of gorgeous Carlsbad. They are always bustling at all times of being open and handle swarms of coffee addicts swimmingly. I am one of the select few in the world who does not drink coffee or tea. I always get the chocolate, vanilla or strawberry frapps. I got my drink in less then a minute despite the crowd. The service was on spot and super genuine. I can't stand when someone helping me seems like they have a gun to their head to be somewhat decent. They have that perfect inbetween of not caring and being extremely fake. The restroom was as clean as my own at home. I wasn't skeeved out as I generally get when using public restrooms. This has to be the slowest Starbucks in SoCal. I am so tired of going in there and having to wait while the third person in the store is putting cushions on the outside chairs or is in the back room doing who knows what while no one is expediting the register, getting coffee and generally keeping the store running. This Starbucks is SLOW! I am a frequent Starbucks customer, and regularly stop in at several of their stores in the area. As a rule, I avoid stopping at this Starbucks unless I really have no other option. Without exception, every time I have been to this Starbucks, it has taken a ridiculously long time for the drinks to be produced. Something is off with the management of this store. Just had my 5th cup of coffee from this location in the last week, I'm hooked! Aside from making me a great drink, which I've come to expect from Starbucks, the people who work here always brighten my day! I feel like the most important customer they've had all-day and I leave with a big smile on my face every time. I'm new to the area and feeling this welcome in such a short period of time really means a lot to me. I've been to this location several times....and I've never walked out a happy customer. The customer service here SUCKS...don't you just love it when the barista acts like you're inconveniencing her to take your order??? I think not! Additionally, the rock hard 2 day old cookies are inexcusable... I was told maybe the recipe had changed.....BS!...a cookie hard enough to possibly chip your tooth is just plain old. This is a busy location. Thanks to the mobile app, I can usually beat the crowds. This location has been updated but management really needs to work on keeping the seating and waiting area cleaner. To me, I wouldn't want to hang out with friends over coffee given the overall cleanliness of the seating area. Outside seating is available. read more

I am truly disappointed with the way the service has gone down the hill. I really miss the old staff. the new manager is usually grumpy and short and lacks customer service. There are a few good Baristas but the management just brings the whole Aura Down. I gave them many opportunities to be better. I will head somewhere else from now on. read more

Ok, I'm the Starbucks queen. Shush! I know what your thinking! But serious...this Starbucks is just ok. The drinks are just that...ok. I have never seen more than two people ( one taking orders and the other making drinks). I went in this morning and ordered my drink, and there were 4 people waiting for drinks in front of me. As I was waiting I looked at the line to order and it was almost out the door. Apparently the man right behind me (thank goodness he was behind me and not in front) couldn't make up his mind on what he wanted to order. I put my timer on my iPhone on and listen people it took him 8 minutes 36 seconds to order. That's right 8 minutes and 36 seconds. That means the line didn't move and all those people had to wait for one person to decide on what they wanted. I got my drink about 1 minute before the man finally made up his mind. I just stayed behind to see how long it would take as people in the line were making loud comments. read more

This one is okay... The inside is narrow and often you get bunched up near the pick up and at the register. They are always friendly in here and it seems clean. I've never used their bathroom, so indoor know how they rate in that category... As you know bathroom cleanliness is very important to me. They seem to get the drinks right most of the time- however this last visit they were out of spoons.... Not ideal. read more

This is a small but quick Starbucks. This Starbucks doesn't offer a ton of seating but it is cozy. I have always had great service, quick service and all smiles. They haven't run out of anything while I was there either. There isn't much to say about Starbucks unless they mess something up. I did see a review about the promo codes and I almost had a similar experience. The barista did warn me that some the promo codes lately haven't been coming through their system correctly but mine ended up working fine. I did almost deduct a star but chose not to- the smell outside is awful!! I didn't take the star because I can't blame Starbuck's because it is the places around it that are causing this terrible smell. There is a bagel place on one side and Broken Yolk on the other side causing this sour garbage smell. You really can't sit outside with that smell. read more

This used to be my favorite coffee spot. However, I don't go here anymore unless I have to. Parking is a nightmare unless you want to park by Albertson's and walk here which is fine unless you are trying to make a quick stop or gave young children with you. BTW, during spring they have violent birds attacking peoples head. After you survive the angry birds you get to stand on their slow moving line. On weekends there is always a line out the door. And even on mid week middle of the day there is always a large crowd waiting for coffee or waiting in line. Some of the staff are pleasant but many are not. They throw all the sandwiches on the counter without names and when you ask nobody knows anything and they never try to help. People waiting for coffee are always annoyed and frustrated so you end up with many rude encounters with people tired of waiting. Anyway, there are two other Starbucks in the vicinity so I don't go here anymore. read more

The coffee was good, though customer service lacks. They had signs up for a deal on buying a certain Christmas coffee and receive a gift card. Apparently they ended that a few days ago. Typically, the staff is always up to speed with the orders and my drink is always ready when I step in the door within less than ten minutes of ordering on my phone. However, this morning (01/26) I order a tall iced coffee which should take less than ten minutes. I ordered my coffee and decided to leave a little early since I needed to get to work. Ten minutes later after ordering, my coffee was not there and there were only two or three people waiting on there drinks. As I was waiting for another ten minutes (I was really late to work at this point), I observed that the two baristas just kept talking and talking and taking their sweet time on making the drinks. I saw THREE TIMES that they picked up my small coffee and just set it back down. I could tell the other two people were getting impatient. I didn't appreciate that the people just had their own little conversation with very few drinks to make. Typically, I see the baristas working hard to provide excellent customer service even if there was only one person waiting, but these girls this morning made me late to work and it took almost a total of 20 minutes to make a small iced coffee. I work in a retail store and all I do is provide customer service and make sure they leave the store happy. After this experience, I left with just frustration that these girls did not acknowledge us and seemed like they didn't care about the customers. All they did is just talk and talk without making the effort to make the drinks. I understand that if there were tons of customers then it would take awhile, but it was only me and two other people waiting for their drinks. read more
