This starbucks is super busy. The staff is friendly and i love how they have someone assisting at the mobile order pick up. you get there give them your name and they find your order. if something is missing they make sure to give you an estimated time. The lavender matcha was made just how i ordered it and my butter croissant was nice and warm. The store is a little on the loud side. read more

As a visitor to the area, I picked up one of the boxed coffee shot cup to take a closer look. While doing so, I accidentally dropped it. The box only fell a few inches onto the wooden display stand, but the glass cup came loose from the packaging, fell to the floor, and shattered into many sharp pieces. What was most concerning was that the glass was not securely held in the box, creating a safety hazard. Two other customers and I helped clean up the broken glass, one of which was a young child who assisted. This was especially scary, as anyone helping could have been cut by the sharp shards. Unfortunately, the barista was of little assistance throughout the incident. She ignored the situation while we cleaned up the broken glass, and after everything had been picked up, I was left holding the box containing the remaining glass cups for several minutes because she did not acknowledge me. Rather than checking on the situation or offering assistance, she eventually called out from behind the counter that I could simply leave the box there, without ever coming over to speak with me. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience. I understand that accidents happen, and I take responsibility for accidentally dropping the box. However, the packaging should have secured the glass cups more effectively, and the lack of customer service and concern shown by the barista made the experience far worse. This incident occurred on July 4 at approximately noon. I hope this feedback can be shared with the appropriate staff so that both the product packaging and customer service can be improved to help prevent similar situations in the future. read more

This is a nice location... with Wi fi and phone charging stations. When we drove toward the City of Carmel there was no phone service along the highway 101 from point lobos to Calla Lily Valley area . The ambiance is nice and relaxing. Picked up a steamed milk which is always delicious. I used my mobile order app, order was ready. One of my cups did not have a sleeve on it so I grabbed the container with the sleeves in it and grabbed one for my cup. Paula then grabbed the container and moved it out of reach. I had KINDLY mentioned that on the app it says all their food is out, I got a stank ass attitude response that surprised me from this kid. He said "yeah we're also out of staff can't you see?" Kid, didn't need that stank response, could've said "oh I'm sorry, we're a bit understaffed and we had to turn the app off so we can serve our guests here" There's always a way to say ANYTHING in a way that will be received positively. read more

This Starbucks has a great location for travelers who are heading down scenic Highway One or arriving from a drive North. The downside is that it is always busy, but there is lots of free parking behind the store. The store is pretty cleared out right now for social distancing, and people don't congregate here as much as they used to. I was looking for a place to do some studying. This used to be a restaurant so it's pretty big for a Starbucks. Plenty of tables and places to post up and work. They have free Wi-Fi, worked fine for my purposes. Staff is always friendly. The lobby and restroom's are clean. Given a tall Latte will set you back over $5 now, but that's just the going prices. I like this location especially because it has the big lobby. If you are looking for a place to do work or study I like this place better than cafes in my town. read more

Unfortunately I received rude customer service as well as a mess up on my order. Even though they were the ones who messed up, they still charged me. The employees weren't kind and the Frappuccinos came out pretty watery. There weren't any trash cans outside and even a local told me this has been an issue for years. COVID-19 phase: Workers are masked and masks are required. Not the nicest, welcoming staff. No appreciation. I ordered a tall, nonfat sugar free Cinnamon Dolce Latte. My mother ordered a Pikes coffee nonfat with steamed cream and sweet and lo. I also ordered a southwest veggie wrap cut in half to share. We waited a short amount of time and it was ready. I've been here a total of about 10 times. There are large crowds and typically a line of about 5-10 people. The line does move pretty fast. The wifi is solid and the line does move pretty quick, though. The best Starbucks location we've ever been to! We were in town celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We had just come from hiking at Point Lobos on our way back up to 17-mile drive when I was really thirsty and craving a cold refreshing drink. It's so close to both locations. So, we stopped by this location as it was on the way and the nearest one. First off, this Starbucks is huge, probably the biggest one we've been too. It's like the size of a McDonald's. And 2nd, the decor is very nice. They have a nice seating area with comfortable chairs and some tables while waiting for your drinks. The cashier was very friendly and used my name when he asked if I wanted a receipt. He had a smile, which is a big factor in great customer service that exudes warmth, in my opinion. As far as efficiency, we got our drinks very promptly in a timely manner and my hubby who is a coffee snob, even said the drink he ordered was the best one he's had ever. He ordered a nitro cold brew with foam and he said it was very smooth and made in the best way possible better than any other Starbucks he's been to. I ordered a venti strawberry acai refresher and the cashier recommended I try it with lemonade and it hit the spot! It tasted amazing and just what I was craving for!
