I went to this Jamba location this past Saturday morning and specified that my child had an allergen to bananas and we did order a banana free smoothie, however, my son still had a slight reaction to the smoothie (seemingly because of cross contamination). However, the other young lady who served our drink reassured us there was no banana but asked the woman in charge why it wasn't made in the back like it should have been following the procedure. Since my child doesn't have an extreme allergy I thought he would be OK but he still had a slight reaction and am disappointed with the level of care and the woman in charge. Ran in for a drink on Thursday after 5:30pm. Stood in front of two employees at a register who did not acknowledge me at all. The third one was working near the other two. No one acknowledged me at all. The two girls walked away and went into the back. Such a creative and so need breath of fresh air for our community. The absolute best bread I've ever sank my teeth Into! The fries are the best I've ever had, so flavorful and perfectly crisp, the aioli is super good too! I had the Purest sandwich, it was super tasty, again on that delicious bread! We had chicken strips which were crisp on the outside and juicy tender on the inside. For a complete different sandwich try the CBD, it's on a donut, panko crusted chicken savory and sweet combined. can't wait for them to open for dinner!! Our family moved to Monterey in 76' I have this totally help aunt who used to make me avocado and banana smoothies. Rich satisfying and nourishing , silky to the palette and of else very refreshing. The mgr girl Tracy? Always goes above all else to please me as I used to be the delivery boy at this location for Order Grove Pharmacy Back in 1981 Once my smoothie was short. I was compensated, once it was too sour! So today Tracy remade my bad smoothie for another day. If you're going to go to Jamba, this is the best one. Quick service and this location offers online ordering! I recommend downloading the app if you frequent Jamba, you will receive points for purchases :) parking is always hit or miss, somehow I usually get lucky though :) Also, they always make my order consistently great!! I stop in often at all Jamba Locations due to work, this Alvarado location always has the most inconsistent service and product representation. At this point in time, I often go out of my way to visit the Sand City or North Salinas location. Too many disappointments. read more

I will have to say that I come here once a week. Cheerful staff and friendly. Smoothies always usually taste good, sometimes the fruit doesn't get blended all the way. Overall a good spot to come. I enjoy their all fruit smoothies and a cup of their steel cut oats. read more

Okay so I just don't have the heart to give this location lower then 2 stars but 2 may be a slight stretch.... Trust me I want to love it here since I drink a lot of smoothies because of digestive issues, so I hit this place up A LOT ;) I spend on average about $50+ a week in your store. I know it's seems small however I've been consistent. In fact I've been so much so that some of the staff know me and will grab my drink from the pre order fridge when I walk in door. Not a total Cheers but we're getting there... The majority of the staff is great. They lack consistency in their product. So even if I walk in and order from register I cannot get them to stop making my drinks extremely runny... It's like their liquid to ice and ice cream ratio is way off. Every single time, even when resorting to ordering from the register. Also I can no longer order their " White Gummy " from the app for the people in my life that don't care is their smoothie is runny, can only order from inside the store.... I do realize there is a second location in Sand City and by far my favorite, it's just a little far since I live in PG. Oh well there's my review, just fix the " consistency " and talk to your software department and there's a chance we can turn this around. read more

Super sunny day and I came in not knowing what I wanted but the girl with the braids was extremely helpful. As soon as I came in she came to help me I told her how I wasn't too sure of what I wanted and what she could recommend. Jamba I am extremely disappointed....paper straws do not work!!! If I spend seven dollars on a drink I expect that the straw that is served with it will make it through the life of the beverage. This paper straw did not even make it halfway through my drink. There are other options for plant-based straws that work like plastic. These paper straws have to go! read more

I just stopped by Jamba and as you could imagine when it's 95 degrees out (actually 78 degrees but anything over 70 degrees in Monterey is considered desert like heat aka too freakin' hot), it's a zoo in there... A party of three arrived, well I saw them when I parked my car outside and was like great, they are going to walk in before me... which they did... 2 young ladies dressed in their summer chic dresses with matching flats and the skinny dude they walked in with... now not sure what happened but I'm guessing it was their special order that too so freakin long but the guy in front of me and I had a nice conversation or three while we waited. Literally over 10 minutes for them to order and they signed their CC receipt 3 minutes after... it was unreal. The young lady at the cash register handled them well and apologized for the wait, smiled too so it made everything ok but I'm blaming the loud blenders for her having to triple check each order. I got two things, one I could pound right away because I was parched and another to enjoy a few minutes later. I got one of my go-tos "Peenya Kolada" or however they spell it (off the menu-board, but an orignial they kept) and I tried the Prickly Pear Tea which rocked. I was afraid that it would be too sweet but it was perfect, slight tart, a hint of sweetness and uber refreshing. I loooooove Jamba Juice smoothies, but I'm not a huge fan of this location. First of all, it's downtown, so parking can be a huge hassle if you're in your car and want to run in for a smoothie. Secondly, it tends to get pretty busy, and they're slooooooooooooooooooow. It's a mystery to me how they can have like 4 people working, but there's only one person making smoothies...... And for a while the was this one girl working there who seriously moved in slow motion, very irritating when you're running late for work! Finally, you know how they rip half the paper off the straw and stick it in your cup before they give it to you? That's great and all, but I wonder if they cover that during training because I've seen way to many times the person struggling with it, and then putting their hands all over the unwrapped part of the straw in an attempt to adjust the paper. Place was hard to find. I mean it was found on the GSP but when you look at the mini mall from the freeway there isn't a sign that there is one here. My friend was jonesin' for one so we came here. I usually don't go to Jamba Juice. Clean, and friendly. Love that they have the calories on their menu. For me it makes a big difference in the choices I make. I ordered 16 oz size which was plenty. Jamba is a pretty popular chain, so the experience you get is pretty average as they standardize things to be pretty straightforward. You go in, order your stuff, get offered an up sale on a protein or something, and you get your drink and go. The drinks are made decently quick and they are what you expect. Wow! What an amazing smoothie! I've had a thousand Jamba Juice smoothies in my life and this place made the best one ever. I had a bunch of questions and Shift Leader Marz was able to answer all of them. Not only did he have a great attitude, was warm and welcoming but he also knew the nutritional breakdown of all the smoothies. He greeted us as soon as we entered the store with a warm smile and a cheerful voice. Marz treated us like he was the owner and like he really cared about our happiness. Hot day. After a long walk on the Rec Trail, we wanted some cold, refreshing drinks. Friends & reviewers have been saying that the service in this place is slow. Now I see why. The store was empty when we walked in, except for the two people ahead of us who had already ordered, and four employees. It still took a good fifteen minutes or more to get a small juice blend & a small smoothie. The employees were working hard, but no orders were coming out. I realize that they squeeze the juice fresh & make each drink to order, but something's wrong in the way things are done when it takes this long.
