I go to this location a lot, order the same drink every time. The brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso. There are two really nice ladies with blonde hair that go above and beyond to make sure they make my drink correctly and it is very appreciated! But, unfortunately when either of those ladies aren't there, my drink is horrible. Anytime they make it wrong, they give me attitude and it makes me feel like I can't ask them to re-make it when it tastes disgusting. Please teach your baristas to be more like those other two nice ladies and to learn how to make your drinks and to be nice. read more

I frequent Starbucks way more than I would like to admit. I order the same drink everywhere I go, a SHAKEN green ice tea. The word SHAKEN is literally in the name, yet EVERY Starbucks I visit in St. Louis does not shake it. However, every Starbucks in other cities or states I visit always shake it. This may sound petty, but shaking the ice tea really does make a huge difference. It aerates the tea which in return makes it taste better. When I'm paying nearly $5 for an ice tea, the least they can do is shake it. What has made Starbucks so successful is their consistency. Starbucks was running an advertising campaign that today they were giving away free reusable red coffee cups with purchase of a holiday drink. There was lots of traffic coming to the store at 6:45AM the day of the promotion. When I ordered and inquired about the free cup, the worker said "Oh we ran out of those a long time ago." Been here a few times. My order is simple and service is typically fast. I have seen the drive thru line with maybe 8 cars and I don't stop. When it's not crowded and I go, really like the convenience of drive through and it's fast and accurate. Been inside before with a long line and I may have just left. Bottom line, when not crowded service is fast and accurate and the drive thru is a plus, especially when it's cold out. read more

Good and beverage quality is the same as most other locations: consistent. Service is on the slower side. I've often waited up to 20 mins after placing a mobile order and coming in for pickup, and that's not always due to high volume traffic. I've witnessed employees hovering together laughing and joking while orders backed up. Or a hot food item will be ready but no one will remember to look for it or get it. As much as I would hate to do this, I have to agree with the reviewers before me. The shop is indeed in an upscale Chesterfield neighborhood. However, seems that it runs too well in order to care about it's customers. The location works to their benefit since it's close to all the shopping areas around, close to many offices also, lies on I64 exit. Irrespective, that doesn't mean that they should treat their customers in an unprofessional manner. Unlike usual Starbucks most of the baristas hardly ever have a smile on their face. You know those looks people give that mean "I don't want to say hi, please leave". I was careful in saying "most" of baristas because a couple of them are really nice. I usually drive thru however one day I decided to walk-in and I wish I didn't do that. I was standing at the counter for so long and all the coworkers were busy in having their own meeting and giggling away. While I was standing I took look at the food placed in the bar. There were drosophila kind of fruit flies crawling over it. (See pics I uploaded) I was shocked and that's when I raised my voice and told the "giggling group" about it. The response "That's normal in this season, we won't serve you from that, we have more in the back" Oh really? What pissed me off even more was, they didn't have the courtesy to come over and apologize, the guy was shouting from the corner he was standing. To make it worse, I think he was the manager. No Starbucks has consistently messed up my orders like this location. What gives? Accessing the area is also weird and clustered. Only advantage is location close to 64 but when I can I go elsewhere due to spotty service and having to write in about it. Gets old after a while. read more

This location is awful. They can't take orders correctly and then want to over charge on drinks. Don't order via the mobile app unless you show up 15 minutes after they say it's ready. Seems like they take orders out of queue. I recommend the Starbucks in Target. So much better. read more

Soooooper sloooooow. Drive thru line was six deep so I went inside. Mistake #1. Drive thru team was the only one working with energy. Second in line, I ordered three coffees. Frappuccino, flat white, and a black coffee with mocha pumps. 20 minutes later I walked out. The inside barista had zero pep in her step. Usually it's pretty good. It's a busy place and can take some time to get your drink. I'm not too worried about it though. A little bite ago, I was in the drive through waiting for my drink. The man who handed me my beverage had cuts, cracks, and dead skin all over his hands. It looked like he covered them in white chalk I don't want someone's ashy hands holding my drink. I'm gonna put my mouth on that! I know it's cold out and people who work in food and drink have to wash their hands a lot, and this can all dry the skin out. But PLEASE, for the love of god almighty, put some lotion on and make sure your skin hygiene and appearance is acceptable for customer service. It's unsettling to see the lack of self awareness. I stopped by on my way to a meeting thinking it would be a quick swing through the drive through. Morning rush usually takes a little longer due to the high volume. This must have been the absolute worst day to pick because although the line was average for a morning commute the time it took not only for them to take my order at the speaker, the time it took for them to make my drinks and deliver them was even longer. For the first time ever I actually drove away without one of my drinks because it was taking too long (a London fog) which either the barista was new and didn't know what it was - though through the drive through window I never heard her ask or the drink was never put through the system correctly. There looked like only three people working- a man who was at the drive through and two baristas and it was chaos and my one drink I did receive was not to the normal standards that I am used to having- the cinnamon syrup wasn't even stirred in and was chunky at the bottom- I thought the coconut milk had gone bad! I ended up tossing that drink too. With so may coffee shop options on that street alone I will drive by this one next time I am in the area. read more

So...it has pretty much been established that this location sucks. I certainly agree. Their 20-somethings are possibly even a bit more disinterested than the average 20-something coffee jerk. The few times I've been in here they were engaged in some sort of epic reorganization such that some portion of the floor/path to the restrooms was obscured by crap that one has to step over. Last night was no different. Had a hot chocolate - nowhere near as good as I've been served at other SBUX locations in the greater STL area. Actually, it was a bit watery. The only reason I use this location is because it is the closest one to my house. Not the best Starbucks...slow service, talkative baristas (to each other and other customers, but not to me.) Once they got my drink entirely wrong and tried to tell me that it was what I ordered. One of the worsts Starbuck's I've ever been to. Which is a huge surprise considering the upscale area they operate in. The service here is ALWAYS slow! They seem to have ample baristas on duty, but not enough supervision or management to keep the operation flowing at a steady click. It's not uncommon for the attendants on the counter to stand and BS about personal issues while customers are waiting to order. My wife and I were second in line with ONE person in front of us. It took almost five minutes to take this gentleman's order and finally get to us. Another 10 minutes to complete the order! Did I mention there was only one other person ahead of us (no other orders being fulfilled)! Totally unacceptable and far from what I have come to expect from SB's. Any SB's! Is there a zero I can select instead of 1 star? So I go to Starbucks to get a coffee at 8:12pm on 12/14/21 and go to the drive up but no one is there. I say hello multiple times, I wait I say it again multiple times. After 2-3 minutes I give up and leave. Apparently closing at 9pm to this Starbucks really means closing sometime before 8:12. I think they need to update their hours to what they actually work and not what the company says are their hours.
