    SHAKEN Green Ice Tea
    Jill I.

I frequent Starbucks way more than I would like to admit. I order the same drink everywhere I go, a SHAKEN green ice tea. The word SHAKEN is literally in the name, yet EVERY Starbucks I visit in St. Louis does not shake it. However, every Starbucks in other cities or states I visit always shake it. This may sound petty, but shaking the ice tea really does make a huge difference. It aerates the tea which in return makes it taste better. When I'm paying nearly $5 for an ice tea, the least they can do is shake it. What has made Starbucks so successful is their consistency. Unfortunately this is one thing the St. Louis market is not consistent at.

This is the slowest Starbucks in the area. Like EXTREMELY slow even when the line is short. Today I kept tasting solid pieces in my iced coffee and I looked at the bottom and found curdled half & half...so they used old cream in my coffee.

Starbucks was running an advertising campaign that today they were giving away free reusable red coffee cups with purchase of a holiday drink. There was lots of traffic coming to the store at 6:45AM the day of the promotion. When I ordered and inquired about the free cup, the worker said "Oh we ran out of those a long time ago." Advertising to drum up traffic and not delivering the promotion is how this came across. Run out of your promotion, communicated all over the morning news before 7am?

    Outdoor seating

The outdoor seating here is a JOKE and the location tightly located at the edge of this plaza which also houses Sushi House, Jersey Mike's and FedEx Office. But the employees are nice and the interior is decently cozy. Again, not a lot of space in here so I'd suggest plan on a grab & go situation. There's a drive-thru...use it!

Been here a few times. My order is simple and service is typically fast. I have seen the drive thru line with maybe 8 cars and I don't stop. When it's not crowded and I go, really like the convenience of drive through and it's fast and accurate. Been inside before with a long line and I may have just left. Bottom line, when not crowded service is fast and accurate and the drive thru is a plus, especially when it's cold out.

Incredibly slow, forgetful, and apathetic service. They really made sure myself and the other customer felt ignored.

The drive thru service here is very good, but inside it is slooooooow. And not nearly as friendly as most of the other Starbucks in town.

Could be the slowest drive thru of any Starbucks. 4 cars in front of me. 22 minutes to get my drink. So much for fast or even timely.

When you enter, it's very small but very well put together décor wise. Each area had signs that discouraged movement of their furniture and had its own kind of theme. I was meeting up with a friend and her daughter and unfortunately did not realize they had the typical café hours (closed at 2pm) so my visit was very quick (30 minutes) and I had to rush my conversation. I ordered an iced Monstera Mint latte and chocolate coffee cake slice. When the barista called up my order, I repeated my order asking if it's mine (they don't use a name system) and apparently *I* mispronounced MONSTERA because she turned her back and said within earshot to her coworker how I did not pronounce it correctly and why do people say it incorrectly. I am not a big plant person so excuse me for not knowing how every single plant name is pronounced. I know people vent at work, but it made me feel uncomfortable the rest of my visit, so I was glad it was almost time to leave before they closed. Vent after customers leave if you have to.... Anyways, my MONSTER-AH mint latte was good, but the chocolate coffee cake was a bit too dry for me. And service could have been a bit more professional in my opinion.

I don't know all the correct words for the traditional clothing they wear and don't want to be disrespectful and use the wrong words! But some of them are absolutely gorgeous! Some of the men also wear their traditional clothing. I make an effort to not look too much, but some of the garments are hard to look away from! Go for the coffee and pastries, and enjoy seeing the traditional garments!

Lots of seating. The parking lot directly in front was significantly smaller than the one it was attached to, and completely full. There was a food truck and a shaved ice place, so we had to park further away by the Chuck E. Cheese. Not too bad of a walk, though, just something to note for folks who can't go long distances. I also didn't expect to spend $10 on the croissant and personally wouldn't spend that again. Coffee syrups were 1883 brand, and my preferred is house made syrup (especially for a $7 latte). However, almost anything is better than Torani! Still a nice treat to try for a first timer. I'll be back if I'm ever in the area again!

We walked inside and saw there was a line of 2-3 people ahead of us. We saw a man to the side who injected himself since he was waiting on a drink and we saw that he was forgotten and no one had made his drink. He was nice about it but I could tell he was upset. There were two cashiers and when it was finally our turn based off our receipt Kenzie D took our order. We ordered peanut butter smoothie, an americano, a cinnamon scone and pumpkin bread. Any sort of customer service went out the window. There was no greeting, no eye contact, no acknowledgment of him finishing inputting an item down to get the next one. I say this because I asked for pumpkin bread and it was forgotten. I didn't even want it after seeing how long it took others to get their order. You would think that you would get your order right after the person in front of you orders but no, two people from groups that ordered after us received their order and we were left there standing waiting for 10-15 minutes. We thought that was the worst of it... We went outside to sit with the in-laws and friends and they were like "that took awhile..." and I told them there was only 3 people ahead of us and that's when they told us what happened to them. My mother in law ordered a drink and so did my father in law. My father in law received his drink and was waiting for a really long time for my mother in laws. So long that he spoke to one of the women passing out orders to check to see if it was done yet. She told him he would need to get in line and order it since they didn't receive it. There was a line and he already waited and didn't want to get back in line so he spoke to the manager and the manager said he heard the exchange and didn't say anything to make it right. So my father in law was like forget it and it just went outside to sit with the rest of the group. The manager came out and gave a disgusted look and gave my mother in law a drink. Then friends also confirmed that he was not nice at all when he came out and probably did it out of spite. I saw she had finished it and gasped because knowing the food industry he probably spit in that drink. Needless to say none of us will be going back to this place. There is no such thing as hospitality here or making things right. And I found out that the cashier that rang us out was the manager? Smh... As much as food or drinks can taste good, not having taste in your service can affect the experience so much so it can't rectify what's been done. Couldn't eat the scone after two bites and the peanut butter smoothie was melty with chunks of banana. I'll stick to supporting pj's and smoothie king.
