    A quiet spot

A quiet oasis in the busy end of Concord. You have your choice of other coffee stores and bakery in the area. However if you want to fall back on staple latte then come over here. It is quiet. Staff are efficient. Kept as clean as can be.

This Starbucks has been through a lot of changes in the past few years. It is not a location for amenities, lingering, people watching (demographic is.. rough) or café aficionado frills -- this location is straight to the point. You'll be greeted and engaged so get ready to order and move down the line because this store is no-nonsense, rake it make it and take it! The experienced baristas (some staff has been here years) are solid; the drink output and consistency, along with the high service-oriented focus on execution gets you out the door and on your way -- even despite its plaza location! Sometimes this location is even faster than a drive-thru option. Keep it up!

The dude and I came to this Starbucks in Concord, Ca before leaving back to the Central Valley. The dude used mobile ordering as lines in Starbucks can be long at times. I ordered my usual Matcha Green Tea Latte with almond milk which is always perfect! It's not as sweet, which I like and low calories! Which definitely fits into my diet if you are health conscious! My cup was a sippy cup lols which California is trying to get rid of straws. Which I thought was gonna be messy but it wasn't. The staff was friendly and my drink was instantly ready when I came in. This Starbucks was clean and organized. It was semi packed too! Overall, I highly recommend if you haven't to get the Starbucks app! Will save you time and your sanity especially if you are in big cities!

Back in for a quick pick me up. I got a caramel crunch frap and we were fortunate enough to see Ashley again. She's always so pleasant and makes the best drink. What I appreciate is that she wants to make sure you enjoy the drink you're getting. Brother & I got blended caramel ribbon crunch frapps, Sis got the Oatmilk espresso w/extra brown sugar pumps.... she loved it, sorry I couldn't get a pic, she drank it too fast, lol. Niece ordered a vanilla frappe w/ caramel drizzle on top. This is a great location and the staff is always great

My coffee order customized by Seth and Anthony!

My only concern is that the internet seems to go down fairly often. We've experienced it several times over the past few months. Other than that, the overall experience has been very positive.

What Happened to the Choco Bun?…read more Plenty of free parking. When you walk in, grab a tray and window shop all the pastries. They individually wrap these so grab what you want and place it on your tray. Once you're finished, cruise up to the counter. Would I Come Back? Yes, I keep coming back. I use to come back for the Choco Bun, but if they've changed the recipe at all locations, I'll only be coming back for the Milk Bun and Nougat. Their Signature Item: Egg tarts are their signature item. If you've ever been to an Asian party, someone almost always brings a box of egg tarts from 85-Degrees. But on today's visit. Well, just look at the photo. Someone stepped away from the oven for about 6 minutes too long. Choco Bun ($2.55, Grade D): The Choco Bun has been my absolute go-to for years--the closest location to me is usually the South Sacramento store and I tell everyone they have to get it whenever they visit an 85°C. Unfortunately, it's been about 8 months since my last trip, and the Choco Bun is no longer something to write home about. Milk Bun ($2.05, Grade A+): If you've ever had their Milk Bun with the custard filling, the Choco Bun used to be very similar in texture. Now, it's flat with super dry edges. Not good at all. Luckily, I also bought a Milk Bun (my usual second favorite), and by default, it's now my number one because the Choco Bun was a complete bust. It's so fluffy and sweet. Melts in your mouth. Strawberry Banana Smoothie / no boba ($5.85, Grade F): It was incredibly artificial-tasting--nothing real about it. I only made it through a quarter of it before throwing the rest into the garbage. My fault for hoping for a "just picked" fresh fruit taste, but this was honestly one of the worst smoothies I've ever had. Nougat ($9.60, Grade A+): The bagged Nougat candy is fantastic. It's soft, gooey, and packed with what I'm guessing are pieces of pistachio. Delicious, but a fair warning if you have dental issues: these will wreak havoc on your teeth. It's not quite as sticky as a Starburst, but it could definitely pull out a denture! Bottom Line: The staff here is friendly, and there are still a few standout 5-star items that make a visit worth it (the Milk Bun and the Nougat). However, the disappointing recipe change to the Choco Bun and the absolute miss on the smoothie knock this down to a 3-star experience overall.

You will not be disappointed. My wife and son are dessert snobs. Both have been to Paris and say France has the best pastries. But wait, they just came back from Alpine, and what did they say???? DELICIOUS!! They were smiling from ear to ear! They bought a carrot cake and an assortment of fresh and tasty pastries. And they even let me have a bite. It was so good! Sooooo, yes, try them. We've all had crappy deserts before. Move up to the big leagues and give Alpine a try!

I called in today to see if they could decorate a faux cake for me. Not only was she rude, but she told me she would charge me AS MUCH AS SHE WOULD for a real cake. You mean to tell me it would cost me $100 plus to decorate a piece of Styrofoam? And then, when I told her the shape of the Styrofoam, she flat out said no. As if the shape of the Styrofoam changes the action? And I'm not a baker, at least not a professional one, but something feels off about what feels like the refusal to help me. And it's not like I am looking for free service, I'm willing to pay, but I'm not willing to pay cake prices for icing on Styrofoam. Saying no, as a business is OK, I'm all for it. But customer service needs a serious rebranding. I have never had a good in person/over the phone experience. Their food speaks for itself, but the customer service skills really takes away the value of a local business that has been around for years. I hope whoever I spoke on the phone with has a better day

Mochi: Soft and chewy, and the ice cream inside was delicious. Yuzu Soft Serve: Super creamy with the perfect hint of yuzu. I was expecting it to be a little more tart, but I honestly wasn't mad that it wasn't. The serving was huge too! I had to share because there was no way I was finishing that large cup by myself. Mango Matcha: Perfectly balanced. The mango didn't taste artificial at all, and neither flavor overpowered the other. Passion Fruit Slush: Usually my go-to when I want something refreshing, and theirs did not disappoint. The passion fruit flavor was perfectly balanced without tasting watered down, and the slushy ice texture was everything. They even add a passion fruit jam with actual passion fruit seeds in it. I was already so full, but I could not stop drinking it. Uji Time may seem a little pricey at first, but honestly, nothing disappointed and it was worth every penny. The staff were a little awkward and didn't seem very enthusiastic--they were pretty monotone and not particularly welcoming. But everything tasted fresh and well made, so I didn't let it bother me too much. Overall, I really enjoyed everything we ordered and I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area!

Since I genuinely didn't enjoy it, I politely asked if they could remake it or let me exchange it for a different drink. Instead, I was told that if I wanted something else, I would have to purchase another drink. The only solution offered was $1 off a second drink, which was disappointing considering I had only taken one sip. At that point, I already knew the drink wasn't for me. As a customer, I wasn't expecting a refund. I simply hoped they would stand behind their product and provide good customer service. What disappointed me the most wasn't just the drink it was how the situation was handled. A small gesture, such as remaking the drink or allowing an exchange, could have turned a negative experience into a positive one and earned a loyal returning customer. Instead, I left feeling that customer satisfaction wasn't a priority. Sadly, because of this experience, I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this place to my friends, family, or clients.
