Mohamed leads a great team at the Cornelius Starbucks! It is also one of the only places that not only has nutritious breakfast, they open at 5 a.m. on the weekdays to Crystal's smiling face. They also don't close until 7:30 p.m. Danelle also whips up my complicated Nitro Cold Brew combinations perfectly every day! #Teamworkmakesthedreamwork

My friend and I stopped in to study for an exam on a Monday afternoon. It wasn't too crowded from what I could see. Usually at the starbucks I normally frequent in the Vancouver/Portland area, people would come and stay a while to study making the coffee shop super crowded. We both ordered a green tea frappuccino (half sweetened) and sat at a well lit area next to the window. The drinks were great, and the service was good as well. There was a lot of people ordering coffee and leaving shortly after. Lots of through traffic, which was good for me because I can't study when I hear interesting conversation. As there was no one sitting down long enough, I was able to study for a good few hours. As a grad student, it is a surprisingly good place to study since you aren't surrounded by a bunch of undergrads having loud conversations if you were to study in the school library. The music they played was also very tasteful and appropriate for that coffee shop vibe!

There are tons of mismatched seats and tables available for sitting. Great for an afterschool hangout! They have a wide variety of drinks and fruit bowls like açaí. I also saw multiple items for sale like stickers, bracelets and other misc things that caters to a younger crowd. They have even more items available that aren't on the menu I took a photo of. They are on the board behind the cashier. They look like yummy seasonal items. I originally came for an açaí bowl today but tried the matcha and I unfortunately was not happy with it. Previous times I came I had the pumpkin protein milkshake. That was good. My spouse got a drink and the tapioca pearls were not cooked all the way. The second time we had the lemonades and those were great. Today I ordered the blended matcha milk tea. It didn't have much flavor. The coconut milkshake was not thick. It was basically coconut flavored milk with whipped cream on top. :( the good thing from todays visit was the tapioca pearls. They were perfect. Will be back and update my review after I've tried the non drink items.

Every single person I've interacted with has been so incredibly kind, so don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. They have a full coffee menu, make their own syrups, and often have an employee special that's fun to try! Don't skip a drink! They also offer an array of pastries and bread. I love their almond croissant, even though it's not usually my first choice. There are so many layers and it's so flavorful. I'm also a big fan of their breakfast sandwich, mostly because it comes on a croissant. Honestly, you can't go wrong here. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try next time you are in the area, you won't regret it. And heads up that they also have a spot at the Orenco Farmers market so you can grab pastries there as well!

The turkey bagel was made from fresh ingredients and well packed, it was a delicious way to start the day! While I was exploring more of Forest Grove I was thinking back to what I was charged, thinking it was a quite a bit more than my last visit here, and I did look back at the menu and realize I was charged double for my half loaf ($9 for a half loaf of bread). I totally understand mistakes happen, I went back and the staff were very helpful in finding my order and refunding me the amount I was over charged. Can't wait to try more from Slow Rise!

Yet their website states the following: Sunday: 10:00 AM-9:00 PM I do see they have 4 stars overall. I gave it 5 stars a year and a half ago. It definitely doesn't warrant 5 stars. The scheduled hours in the front window area is missing half of the numbers. The threshold is filthy. The knife in my roll-up had something crusted on it. And we were told very nicely, by our server Johana, that she hoped the Chef would come back, as he had left earlier. Whew...he came in after we were there about 10 minutes. We arrived at 4:00. And the last irritant...the music sound level. I wanted to ask Johana to turn it down, but just put it off. We were told at 10:00 Casa Lola becomes a night club...fine, but at 4:00 on a Sunday. Johana was terrific and the food was good. My Al Pastor Tacos were okay. Not great, but not bad. Black beans and rice accompanied all of the dishes and they also were good...not great. My wife, being a vegetarian, had the Enchilada's stuffed with carrots and potatoes. She loved the sauce, even though it had queso fresco on top, as she had requested none be served. Again, Service 5 stars, Food 4 stars, Misc. 0 stars It will be interesting to see if the restaurant is open one year from now.

They did warm up the cinnamon roll which was soft and delicious and I love that they source their pastries from surrounding small businesses like the gluten free Blue Moon Bakery! Smart partnership! My friend got her toddler daughter an Italian Soda and they gave her a kids whipped cream cup with confetti sprinkles which was super cute. She also found the hidden bear and got a sticker as well. I love when businesses make it fun for the kids. Bonus they had a local artist spotlight showcase which was so neat!
