Went this morning to get some breakfast and a coffee, not a good experience. As soon as I pulled up to the window, the employee closed the window and didn't even look my way. She was busy doing things on the registry. I waited for about two minutes. She opened the window up without a good morning and handed me my drink and asked if I wanted a straw. Starbucks charges way way too much to not be super thankful that people are still coming and spending their money there. I will be going there anymore. Also, when I left, I was the one that said thank you and have a nice day to the employee. Zero smiles from her, zero appreciation. read more

Best Starbucks in the area! I drive a little extra for this store because it's the only store that consistently makes our drinks right. Their employees are always friendly and professional, and the line moves along pretty quickly. I am truly shocked at some of the negative reviews as our experience has been nothing but positive for a couple years now. read more

Customer service skills are very poor . Drive through girls are rude do not say please or thank you. Imagine a generation that expects a tip for doing their job before even handing you you coffee!! And still don't say thank you when left a tip .. like it's expected! What can I say - I love Starbucks! My favorite drink is not a standard menu item - iced vanilla latte with salted cream cold foam. If you like salty and sweet combo (thinks salted peanuts and regular m&m's) this is fantastic! I get mine decaf, just 2 or 3 pumps of vanilla depending on my mood and the salted cream - it's awesome! Forego the straw - for environmental reasons but also because it's easier to get a bit of sweet and a bit of salt in each sip before it all melds together towards the bottom. Delish!! read more

My friend and I stopped in to study for an exam on a Monday afternoon. It wasn't too crowded from what I could see. Usually at the starbucks I normally frequent in the Vancouver/Portland area, people would come and stay a while to study making the coffee shop super crowded. We both ordered a green tea frappuccino (half sweetened) and sat at a well lit area next to the window. The drinks were great, and the service was good as well. There was a lot of people ordering coffee and leaving shortly after. Lots of through traffic, which was good for me because I can't study when I hear interesting conversation. As there was no one sitting down long enough, I was able to study for a good few hours. As a grad student, it is a surprisingly good place to study since you aren't surrounded by a bunch of undergrads having loud conversations if you were to study in the school library. The music they played was also very tasteful and appropriate for that coffee shop vibe! read more

I thought I'd put my local Starbucks on the map. I've heard people say that when a Starbucks goes up that means the town is progressing. I don't know whether I buy that, but I do know that the City of Cornelius is making improvements starting near the intersection of 19th-20th Ave and Starbucks and the local business around this area are seeing a lot of attention. They haven't messed up anything yet and I've been going there for a few weeks, just to change up my Dutch Bros. fix. The Baristas are pretty friendly, in a more genuine way than the Dutch people...maybe it's just me? Oh yeah, the drive thru is on the other side of the building, so you have to essentially drive around the entire back of the building...and the parking lot can get kind of crazy as the plaza is crammed with busy stores, it's still worth it, to have a Starbucks in this area that you don't have to walk into. Baristas here are great! Knowledgeable, FAST, and polite, I'm a fan. I've never once had my drink messed up at this location, which I can't say for any other Starbucks I've been to. Granted, I have an annoyingly complex order (grande cafe vanilla frappuccino with two pumps extra flavoring, no whip), so I dearly appreciate them not only always getting my order right, making it really well, and delivering my order to me super quick! I also often get the oatmeal and it's never been watery when I get it here, so the training the workers are getting here is apparently awesome. It's very irritating that unless you are spending over 5 bucks for a drink, this place doesn't care about you. The price has gone up 15 cents for a cup of coffee and they don't have anything other than the pikes brewed and only in the mornings do they brew a bold roast. I've been told it's a 'waste' to brew the extra flavor because only a couple people order it. So, the couple people don't matter? I don't think brewing an airpot of coffee is that much of a waste and would serve the couple people just fine. So what if you dump 2 quarts of coffee. It's not that expensive, but this place makes it sound like it's the cost of throwing out a new car. I've also been deterred from ordering a certain brew a few times because the employees (yes, its happened quite a few times) made huffing sounds and said 'it would be a pour over and might take a while'. -sorry to inconvenience you at your JOB! I think it is poor guest service that I get asked to pull forward to wait for one cup of coffee that takes 3 minutes to pour over when I have sat in the drive thru line for more than 10 minutes while the car at the window is collecting several drinks and food and the line is backed up 5-6 deep. I have never seen anyone else pulling forward to wait for their order to let the line move quicker. This place needs to up their game. read more

First I appreciate everyone at the Cornelius Starbucks. I know you work hard. I have talked in person to a supervisor so this is not just telling tales but I must say it here, over quite awhile the coffee is sadly inconsistent. You rarely know at sometimes during the day what you will really get. Yesterday coffee with a tea flavor, or today an iced milk? Where was the white chocolate and peppermint? The answer from the supervisor was to taste before you go. I doubt if the folks I take it to would enjoy that very much. The point should be to make every coffee according to the recipes. What can I say about the coffee, I speaks for itself. What impressed me about the Cornelius, OR STARBUCKS was the friendliness and generosity of the staff. I went through the Drive-thru, only to get to the window and discover I forgot my debit card. Without giving me a hard time or anything, the girl politely told me, "Don't worry about it. It happens. I asked if they were closed and she said they were "close to closing." (Technically, it was past closing.) I've been to businesses where they literally turn you away.
