Had my first pumpkin coffee drink of the season yesterday and wanted to do a taste test. Went through the drive-thru which was a long line, but moved super quick. CSR was friendly and was knowledgeable. They have sugar free pumpkin spice favor which the other place didn't. I ordered a skinny pumpkin spice latte which was super yummy. I'm late in writing this review. While this is not my "normal" Starbucks since it's not near my routine, I do stop here a decent amount of times when visiting close friends who live in this area. Service has always been fast and pleasant, just as one would expect from this chain. There are lots of seating options and seems to be a place for those working from home and friends gathering after the gym, etc. The last time I was there I was having issues with my app and the barista helped me so that I could use up my points before they expired. I'm usually an "Americano with room" in the morning and a "Grande non-fat, no foam, 3 pump mocha" for a once in awhile afternoon treat. Left two stars not for management probably not for the specific people but just in general. Manager has been awesome very polite very nice well the one I did interact with. I 99% Of the time use the app ,I order my items ahead generally 10 to 12 minutes ahead of time. I'm always standing there waiting for part of my order food or my drink it happens more often with hot food than anything, it could be empty no drive-through orders, employees b/s-ing doing the thing. I get it, it's slow. I'm on going experence throughout Starbucks in the area. I get told oh the printer isn't working, or we didn't see it. I specifically wanted it half sweet and with her skill she made it happen by only adding 2.5 pumps of syrup! She made it just the way I've dreamed of having it. Normally I've never had a problem here and it was marked on my favorites but today, I repeated my order 5 times. Each item I ordered was answer with "that'll be $xx?" Rather than the expected "would you like anything else?" Then when I went to pay she messed up my app and instead of charging me for my order she emptied my app of $25 and used a free drink to pay for my order on top of actual payment. When I asked about it she said it was fine but tried to refuse me a receipt when Requested. They managed to get the order correct once we over paid but it's concerning to think the cashier can so easily steal money from the app. I even waited until later to see if the app corrected but never did. Fantabulous!!!! I absolutely love these folks. The coffee is to die for. The pumpkin spice latte is back out which is just a favorite of mine no matter how much bad attention it gets about trendy girls. :-) I went today and asked for two little kids hot cups because my two and three-year-old like to pretend that they have their own coffee. Let me preface this before I have tomatoes thrown at me for giving a Starbucks 4 stars.... Its the only coffee shop within walking (or extremely short driving) distance to my work. I LOOOOOOOOVE Stumptown... said it before, hands down my favorite coffee of all time... I crave it. But darnit!! Their locations really aren't convenient when I'm running out the door already 20 min late, nothing in my stomach, and I'm having to brave the streets, pedestrians, buses, and parking spots of business district downtown PDX to get my godsend of a latte... sorry, sometimes I just have to say no.... to inconvenience that is. Lordy, you don't want to see me if I've said no to coffee... hah.. you don't even want to go there! Which brings me to by regular stop (yes, more often then not, I'm running late). Super friendly staff that now, not only knows my drink, but also knows my name, place of work, AND favorite color.... not even stumptown baristas (which I know recognize me.. I go through a punch card every 2 weeks) remember any of that pertinent information. Yes its Starbucks but I'm a true Oregonian at heart and really do appreciate that little extra personalization... First off, let me just say that I love Starbucks and I've been a loyal customer for years. I won't hold these experiences against the corporation, but I will likely boycott this location which is a real annoyance because it's definitely the most convenient. I enjoy Starbucks because of the quality control/ consistency and convenience factor. However, this location kind of sucks. I know they're the new kid on the block and they're trying to get it together but I've had three separate instances here that have all been pretty awful. My first time I stopped by, I reloaded my card - they decided to reload it 3 times. When I called the same day to have them fix the mistake, they told me (unapologetically) to call corporate's number on the back of my card and then they hung up. The second time was one of the most awkward experiences I've ever had with another human being, ever. You need to 86 this barista guy, Matt. His version of small talk is oddly invasive and I dreaded going there a third time because I was afraid he'd be the person who waited with me for my coffee at the window. Today was my third visit and possibly my last. Of course, Matt was at the window and I tried my best to ignore the awkward antics and weird scripted jokes. It's just awful. I wish someone had experienced this with me... then we could speculate how artificial intelligence has somehow already manifested itself. I digress.. today my breakfast sandwich was cold- not just like "Hey, we let it cool down a little too long after microwaving it" but more like "Hey, we forgot to stick it this in the microwave for you. This Starbucks 8/10 times is efficient and pleasant to go to, but today i went through the drive through and got a venti iced soy chai. It was first made hot no big deal they changed it immediately, but then I was handed a cup covered in whipped cream..and I was like well that kind of sucks good thing they gave me napkins!! I go to take a sip and the lid had fallen off because it wasn't on all the way... but mistakes happened...BUT THEN they made my drink with regular milk so I've been insanely sick all day. It's been eleven minutes and still waiting; I think my food I ordered is cold now. Kind of bummer. I'm giving a 3 because every other customer that I saw come through, was happy. Me, not so much. This location is near my son's school so I have stopped here just a few times, before or after volunteering. Every time I've come in, service has been slow. By this I mean taken a minute at least to even take my order, even though I could SEE three employees and the store wasn't busy. All other Starbucks ask if I want whip when I order a nonfat drink, this one didn't. Also, there was a lot of personal conversation going on every time I was in there. Once I stayed to read for awhile and the chatter was so loud between two employees that I couldn't read. I will say that the barista seemed to know the names of many people, and their preferred drinks and her friendliness was embraced by those she served. It was really the two other ladies on staff that made my ordering & payment transaction, and overall experience, just 3 star worthy. read more

two days in a row i've gone to this location to get an iced white chocolate mocha. yesterday i don't know what they made me but it had a bunch of black spots like vanilla bean in it??? so i went back in and i asked for it remade and the lady was super pleasant and remade it for me and it was definitely right. so i go back today thinking that was just a one time mistake. i order my drink and they hand me it hot so i kindly reminded them i asked for it iced, the guy goes back to have it remade. i am handed the drink iced this time and i drive away because i've been at the window 5 minutes and am holding up the line. i get my drink and i don't know what it is but it has the BLACK SPOTS (what i've been told is vanilla bean) in it again. i'm not sure what they keep making me but it's not a white choc mocha (i get this drink like 5 times a week so i'm very confident i know what it does and doesn't taste//look like) read more

I love Starbucks so much I can't decide what my favorite drink is, especially with all the holiday drinks such as the peppermint mocha, caramel brulee latte, Irish cream cold brew, etc. I have been to this location many times. Once this July I got two strawberry acai refreshers but someone I was with changed his mind so when I got a third one, the Starbucks barista asked if there was a problem and was nice to make a third strawberry acai refresher. I also like the drive thru and all the baristas here have been nice. The last time I went here which was about a week ago, the barista was nice and put 2 pumps of white chocolate mocha like I asked. The barista also asked how my day was going. All the baristas here have a positive attitude and I have never had a bad experience with any of my drinks or the baristas. I would recommend this location because it has everything you need: A drive thru, indoor dining, takeout, nitro cold brew, order and pickup, a working oven, and more. In general, I love Starbucks. I like how Starbucks has a large variety of drinks and modifiers. Starbucks may be expensive and charge you 6 dollars for a venti frappuccino, but overall good place.
