They were great on Monday, but today they dropped the ball I asked for a white chocolate peppermint mocha with almond milk. The girl at the counter was rude when I swiped my card because she had to back up and change something and it didn't take my swipe. That was fine, I could swipe it again; however, she said "Just hang on a minute!" and seemed very flustered. I got my drink a few minutes later and headed out the door--only to find once I took a drink that it was a regular mocha with regular milk. I am lactose intolerant, I went back and explained it needs to be with mocha, only for the woman behind the counter to tell me I didn't say almond milk. Excuse me, but I have been lactose intolerant all my life, I order the same way every time. I just didn't forget about my intolerance. If I'm paying 7 bucks for a drink, it needs to be right (I usually make my own coffee at home, but I've been in a rush this week).The regular chocolate syrup being in there was really no big deal, although I find it too gritty for my liking and prefer the white chocolate instead. read more

This is a pretty chaotic location. The customers at this particular location were not my favorite people to be around - multiple groups pushing through lines, etc. There was a bit of a rift between a very unpleasant customer and one of the baristas over hair in the drink. While it would be awesome to have the people preparing the drinks put their very long hair in a ponytail at the least, the customer was suuuuper rude about it. I would probably come back to get a to go drink if I were walking by, but for sure wouldn't go out of my way. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks location. It's nestled right in Garden City shopping center and it just recently had beautiful renovations and an expansion. It's perfect for a starter to your shopping day. I met my cousins here for coffee/tea and we were able to grab comfy seating, while enjoying delicious and fresh warm drinks. This may seem like a little thing, but my cousin was so excited that not only they put her name on her drink, but they spelled it correctly. Whether this is a fluke or they are just really on top of their game, it made her very excited as her spelling normally gets botched up. I thought this was just a small (perhaps coincidental) symbol and representation that this particular Starbucks goes that extra step to make you feel welcome, comfortable, and like they just know your name (cue the Cheers theme music). read more

**Update (3 to 5 stars)*** Since I started going to the gym nearby I have been frequenting this location since my initial visits. Something has definitely changed for the best here! The baristas are friendlier, the service is fast and my orders are always accurate! The interior is always impeccable. I really enjoy sitting by the window and people watching while I do research. The location cannot get better, and parking is surprisingly easy for Garden City. My only issue with this place is it closes at 9:30. It should be open until 10 like the location in Warwick because why wouldn't I want more of a great thing! ___________________________________________________________________________ I was so disappointed with this location. While the store is beautiful (kudos on the renovation) I could not believe how terrible the baristas were. They really give off the aura that they hate they're job. Not only are they kind of rude, but whoever was suppose to be supervising last Tuesday is doing an absolutely terrible job. To avoid the long line I ordered my coffee on my app. I waited & waited, finally over 15 mins later I go up to the counter concerned the order had not gone through. Oh it did, they just made the coffee and left in the corner somewhere behind the counter. Not only did they not call me, they did even bother to put it in an accessible place on the counter where I could see it. So I ended up with wasted time and warm, instead of hot coffee...great. Next, the canisters of milk were nowhere to be found. I had to ask for skim milk, after standing and waiting some more. I was finally handed a half-gallon of skin milk O_o? They still didn't put the milk canisters out. They just left a gallon of half & half on the counter, for at least an hour (I was there from 6:30-8:30), I do not think that is sanitary. The entire time the staff just seemed to be struggling, even w/ 3 people working. Furthermore, the line was nowhere near the lengthy lines I have seen at other locations, especially during happy hour promotions. After getting accustomed to the awesome service in Eastern Iowa, dealing with the baristas at this location made a bad impact. I started going to Dunkin & McDonald's for coffee since they're closer, cheaper and at least I half-expect poor service. read more

In generally Starbucks coffee is ok to drink pretty much everywhere but this location were far worst of other franchise. I ordered cafe mocha venti size, and barista were brew my coffee right away but it only took less than 3min. What??? So I took my coffee to my wife and after she tried, first she told me " it taste like nothing more than hot coco" So I tasted it, well I have to totally agree what she said. The staff is either friendly or could care less attitude. I always enjoy my coffee. It is definetly better than Dunkin' Donuts. The store has plenty of plugs so you can readily charge your computer or phone. As far as cleanliness it is definitely clean. read more

This Starbuck's is expanding and boy does it need it. I have yet to go in without the crowding of others into my personal bubble. The staff is friendly and the drinks are prepared well. I have multiple times complained to Starbucks about the food. Once there were flies filling up the food case (disgusting) and a second time I was given a piece of coffee cake so stale I hit it against a table and it sounded like a baseball. Definitely not my #1 Starbucks but a convenient location. read more

I am disappointed with the cleanliness of this Starbucks. Th bathroom smelled like the urine pit at the zoo. When I told the partner about the condition of the restroom she shrugged and said just girls working today we don't have the habit of going to the men's room. Don't get me wrong I love Starbucks but this one needs some serious improvement. Ordering a simple drink, venti green tea unsweetened, takes them at least 10 minutes and that's on a good day. It's such a hassle to get one drink that I don't even bother stopping here anymore. This is my local Starbucks and is the best in the state. New renovations are great. Much bigger with lots of seating. The servers are all great, some a little crazy, but all great. It gets busy here so some mistakes happen but they are always quick to correct them. I get a basic venti iced coffee black filled all the way to the top. Simple. Coffee is always super strong and not watered down like I've had at other locations. Not a lot of parking but they are in a busy shopping center. Park in the Applebee's lot and walk. Faster than finding a spot or waiting for a spot in the main lot. read more

Staff was very outgoing and made a lovely coffee. The patrons were pretentious melinials and I had to leave as I couldn't stand listening to their pretentious self ingratiating drivel. I'm a big fan of starbucks coffees and teas, however at this specific location I've never has a pleasant experience. First lets start at the register, the person working the register almost never makes eye contact with you and god forbid you say something thats not the "starbucks way" to say it they will rudely correct you. Now I usually get the most simple drink, an iced passion tea with a shot of the raspberry flavor. I watch them water it down about halfway with water everytime, and this is the only starbucks I've seen do this. When I ask them to remake it because it tastes too watery they roll their eyes, pour some out and add more tea instead of starting over. The customer service here is terrible, and I will never go back. read more

Starbucks is Starbucks, quality coffee I can't complain. Customer service has never been a problem there, until tonight when Captain Miserable took my order. I understand its a busy night and middle schoolers seemed to be in full effect,but no need to treat your other customers like their degenerates. Im just looking for a tasty treat to cap off an otherwise pleasant evening out with wife and child and your awful attitude got in the way. So to the blonde barista who treated me like I was some jerk with her huffing and puffing over me asking to change the size of my frappucino from grande to venti(which is more expensive btdubs) you made me think twice about coming by again. First off, please KNOW that I'm a huge fan of Starbucks. It's just that at this Starbucks, unlike most others I've been to, the staff pretty much sucks. I mean, the coffee and food are about the same as any other Starbucks. But, since I'm a Garden City frequent shopper, I go to this particular Starbucks a lot. The staff is NEVER friendly. Sometimes downright unfriendly. That's my only complaint. Also, they always seem to run out of any particular fooid I'm interested in ordering. I can't understand why they're so unfriendly there. The redesign of the interior is lovely and there's a lot more room in there than ever before. The bathrooms are immaculate. But the staff is unfriendly and they all seem to be unhappy. The only two worse Starbucks I've been in are a/ Gaithersburg, MD (that was the absolute worse for uninformed really weird staff plus the place looked like a pig sty; I was SHOCKED! And b/ someplace near Tamarac, Fl - it was a ZOO in there, but nice and clean, anyway. read more

I have been through the drive-thru five times and two of those times my order was screwed up. They are very friendly and talkative, but they should concentrate more on getting things right. And also if you are going to offer holiday drink specials. then stock up on the products so you don't have to give drinks that are lacking in the full holiday cheer. The workers here make you feel so unwelcome! They start closing up the store hours before the closing time. Supposedly it closes at 9:30, but as I sit, all the benches are up at 8:14. They never have treats after 5 pm, I don't know why they cannot make more for the 4 hours they have left open. Never have anything sweet for the kids after 5 pm, WHY. Overall, I am angry with the service. I want to call their corporation and complain, I am fed up. read more
