Google Maps said to go on the street and drive over. I just cut through the plaza and was fine. It's in a cute plaza with stores. I backed into a a spot and went in. There was only one person waiting for his drink. The barista said hi and let me know that she'd be with me shortly. Nice and friendly! When she finished making his drink, she came over to me. I ordered a grande iced passion tango unsweetened iced tea. I paid using my app. Perhaps I waited for two minutes. It was ready. I was impressed. My drink hit the spot. It's so refreshing after all that walking. It's also 14°C and sunny. Wifi is Google Starbucks. It's free, provided that you enter your name and e-mail address. It works outside on the patio. I love ordering through the app! I enjoy the perks that come along with downloading the app, it's easy to navigate place order and pick up, especially nowadays with the while COVID restrictions. Although we all know and love Starbucks as the place to get overpriced coffee and your name pronounced incorrectly, this location managed to disappoint already low expectations. My brother wanted a cup of coffee, so we stopped by here and I decided to get something, too. I decided to order an iced matcha latte. I got the medium size and asked for less ice in the drink, with the total coming out to just over $4. My name was called (not quite as I had said it to my server, but alas this is Starbucks after all), and I went over to the counter expecting to pick up my cold drink. Instead, I found myself collecting an oddly greenish cup full of ice. I had ordered an iced matcha latte but was served a wonderful cup of ice cubes garnished with a milky green liquid. Since I was in a rush, I took my cup of ice and left. The liquid in my cup was finished in five sips, and I was left staring at my $4 cup of ice. I'm not sure I've found a better deal for ice yet in Dallas, so if anyone knows where I can find higher quality ice for a better price than here, please do let me know! Sans drive-thru this is still a really nice plaza location with plenty of room to spread out. Sofa seats, patio, community table both inside & out for your meeting needs. They offer a variety of retail items from coffee to tumblers. A display case pleasing to the eye, tempts you on cookies, muffins, scones, soft drinks, etc. The cashier and barista were very pleasant. My Oder with off without a hitch. Frankly, I enjoyed the crafted Soy Flat White a great deal. This Preston location also has a news board to keep locals in the Know; highlighting athletes & whatnot. Looking at these recent reviews I would have to disagree with most of the complaints. This store is in my humble opinion a great place to sit and relax or even get work done. I don't try to drink coffee as often considering how overpriced everything is nowadays but I always find myself back here in this particular location. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I've been coming here for a little over two years now and have never been disappointed in the high level of customer service that this location yields. Whether not during the morning hours or on third shift late at in the evening, the staff is very approachable, funny, and attentive to your coffee needs. One thing of note is that the seating area seems a little tight, especially if you are in a group of three or more. Although there is seating available, the tables and chairs seemed to be somewhat packed in by the windows closest to the entrance. On the outside of the store, there is definitely plenty of places to sit at and enjoy the breeze and such. This location is truly disappointing. The staff are childish and spend more time laughing and talked to each other than they do worrying about the paying costumers. Every time I come here (very little) I'm reminded why I don't order from here- everything takes more than 10 minutes, employees are backed up even when a small number of people are in there, and always at least one angry customer. I don't usually get Starbucks, but I stopped by this morning, hoping that I can get a chai latte with Matcha, and a everything bagel with cream cheese. One of the barista's asked me for my order, and then asked for my name. Once I gave him my name, I assumed that my name in my order would be called at the same time. All I heard was everything bagel cream cheese, Matcha, chai latte. I assume that there maybe was a mixup, so I headed towards the counter to pick up my drink. I realize there was no name on it but I just assumed it was mine. I waited a little bit longer before asking the cashier if they had already called for my order. Then the guy in the back with the glasses in the blonde high top, commented "I called the order like 10 minutes ago, so if they didn't grab it, they just didn't get it". I'm just really confused and kind of upset because what was the point of taking my name if you weren't gonna put my name on my order for my order to them because me. I'm not really upset with anyone in particular, it just kind of sucks because I was really looking forward to the cream cheese bagel. I just ended up canceling and getting a refund. But I just hope the next time whoever's working the cashier, I understand that you may be in a hurry. Please put the name on the order to avoid any confusion. Note well that this location does not have a drive-thru, but it is NOT inside of a grocery story, despite its proximity based on address. I dropped in quite late at night, asking for a triple grande latte breve six pump sugar free vanilla (I'm the kind of person that can drink that and go to bed 10 minutes later), and a very pleasant and attractive barista prepared it with a smile. It tasted great, had good foam, was at the right temperature etc. If there's a knock on the place, it's a little work to get in and out of, but the service, at least for me, was great. read more

I would give 5 stars here because I really like this location. However, I feel the need to deduct 2 stars because there are some very important improvements that need to be made for the sake of the customers' experience: 1. They appear to be understaffed and the workers appear to be overworked. As a result, the customers' experience is a bit thrown off because the workers are busy trying to keep up. The workers have great customer service and are very friendly, they just need more of them. 2. The cashier is so backed up with customers that the barista sometimes takes your order when you're in line waiting for the cashier to take your order. While this is a nice gesture, it increases the risk of drinks being made incorrectly and not according to the actual order. If I am paying $5-8 bucks for a latte, I need the guarantee that it will be right. These are just a couple of business observations I have made. I like the location and the staff, I think management should do a better job making sure the workload and scheduling are balanced so as not to overwhelm or overwork the staff. It's bad enough that they do not have a drive-thru, so when people actually have to come in, they expect a seamless experience. This is a solid Starbucks. I have been there 30 to 40 times so I've got a pretty good feel for it. Location: It's a bit hidden a few doors down from the Tom Thumb. The parking and access are both good. This is the Starbucks I go to if I want to do some work on my laptop. There is ample seating and the space is pretty big. Design & Layout: It's fine...definately not one of Starbucks anchor stores. Nothing great about it. Just typical starbucks design with multiple seating and dining areas. Service: Consistantly good. That's all I need. Issues: This place seems to have an problems with maintenance. I'm not saying it's not clean. Just not kept up with. For example the doors are terrible. The secondary entrance door has been busted for over a month. There is a sign saying it is on order and will be fixed soon. The primary entrance door KILLS me. It doesn't quite close right, so everytime it's opened and closed it makes this horrible noise that is heard throughout the restaurant. When your sitting right next to it for 30 minutes it can drive you crazy. A third example is the furniture...it's just dingy, the outdoor furniture in particular. Quickest morning service I've received and the staff attention to detail is superb. The restroom is tucked out of sight providing privacy to the comers and goers. Upon arrival I was met with refreshing morning smiles and a soft aroma. I was serviced quickly and respectfully with no error made on the drink I purchased. The architecture is sublime reflecting the season and privacy to the few whom use the restroom as stated. A lot of seating for guests (customers) with a homey touch with four comfy couches. This is a spacious location with indoor and outdoor seating. Bar chairs, tables, and couches are available. The location is good and has plenty of parking in front of it. Good place to relax, meet, or work. The reason I gave then only 3 starts only is because we noticed more than once that trash was so unattended that we had to place our trash next to their full trash bins. Even som tables were not clean. I think at certain hours this location is under staffed. read more

This is THE WORST Starbucks I've been to and I've been to A LOT! I ordered my drink on the app 23 minutes before I'd get there because they are usually way behind! The app said 8-10 minutes, but when I arrive 23 minutes after ordering it's still not ready! I wait 5 minutes then tell them I have to go to work and I'll come back in 45 minutes, hold off & make it later. I walk back over to Starbucks and the Frappuccino is watered down, melted, & WRONG! Just sitting there on the counter turning into a melted mess separated into water & milk. Yum. Glad I spend over $6 for slop! Not even the slightest courtesy of placing it in the fridge! This is the second time this has happened, last time I ONLY ordered 15 min ahead of time & app even asked if I wanted to wait because it'll be ready before I'd arrive. This is the closest Starbucks near me. I don't often go to a Starbucks cuz personally I think it's overrated and I don't usually drink a lot of coffee and generally speaking it's expensive. I like this one cuz it has plenty of places to sit and is comfortable. They also have nice seating outside but I don't enjoy it as much when someone is smoking. This location is the one I went to the most. I mostly go there for studying or having a Bible study or just trying to catch up with reading. I love the atmosphere and the smell of coffee (like the smell but don't drink it). Some times it gets really busy but it really depends on the time of day. I usually order one of their frappuccinos. Vanilla Bean, Strawberry, Mocha, Carmel are my favorite flavors. I never liked toffee but the toffee I tried there was good! They have really good tea! and esp the Chai tea but it's the same thing i can buy at the store. So why would I want to get Chai tea there and pay extra money? I usually don't get anything at Starbucks unless I have a gift card or if I really need it! i never used wifi there so I'm not sure if it's free or not, but I know alot of Starbucks I went to it's not free. Their service is nice! it's fast, quick and easy. Of course it's very popular so they pretty much have to be! I never had an issue with the people working there but I had issues with their customers. There were a few times I had someone ask for money. I even got my credit card stolen one time. So my advice if you are going there just keep your wallets close! and I mean close! This starbucks is located in a shopping center off Preston and Frankford. It's a nice little area with restaurants and a few stores to shop in. There's a huge parking lot out front so there's never a problem finding a spot. It gets pretty packed during high traffic hours so your best bet is to come at an off time. You'll still have to wait in line but it won't be horribly long. The staff is always very friendly and decently quick. Overall this is a good starbucks to stop in if you need a tea or coffee fix! read more

This is one of the nicer and more study friendly Starbucks that I have been to. They open until 11PM so you can stay later than most to get your studying done. It seems lots of students come here in groups since they provide one of those big study tables but there are other smaller tables all over the place for those who are loners, like me. They make their drinks just as most other baristas make and they are very friendly. It can get a bit loud due to the "younger" crowds so if you want to study on Friday or Saturday...unless you really like loud background noise, I'd avoid it.
