Was at this location yesterday & wanted to give props to the barista who remained courteous & professional while being humiliated & harassed by a stereotypical Blackhawk entitled alpha male complaining for no less than 15 minutes about the "extra milk shot" or some other ridiculous order that after 3 tries was still not to his liking. I am not a frequent SB customer because of patrons like this who think they can berate the workers trying their best. Normally, as a coffee snob, I can't stand Starbucks and their overuse of sugar and lack of quality drinks. However, I might give them another chance... For starters, this branch now offers pourovers. I'm not sure if that's a new thing all Starbucks stores do now, but it's the first time I've seen it. I asked for a medium Blonde Roast (Starbucks' lightest roast) and was told that they did not have that pre-made, but that they could make me a pourover with the light roast beans. As Starbucks' other roasts always taste a little too burnt, I decided to give that a try and wait an extra few minutes for my drink to be made. And I'm glad I did! This is definitely the best cup of coffee I've ever had at Starbucks, with a really full and bright flavor to it. Another really pleasant thing is that this Starbucks is now partnered with Google for its wifi. The AT&T internet I've used at Starbucks locations before has always been incredibly slow, especially when the store is busy. During my visit today, every table at the store was taken and it was just packed. Yet the Internet was incredibly fast! I'll definitely be coming back and giving Starbucks a second thought now, and I hope all other Starbucks locations catch on to these trends! read more

Staff was nice. Very dirty store. Garbage was overflowing where people get their drinks ready (sugar, etc). Some was finally taking care of it as I left. The counter where orders come up had a drink on it that had to have been sitting for at least a half hour. The whip cream was dissolving into the drink. Really gross. read more

This location has TONS of parking in the plaza and plenty of seating, though the lighting isn't so great during the day. They allow natural sunlight to come in through the glass windows, but they're often shaded so it's typically dark inside. There's often a long line when I come in, but the staff does well to ensure the wait isn't too long. Nice staff, though out of all the Starbucks locations I've visited, this one seemed to be the least knowledgeable about their secret menu. A grande secret menu frap is usually $4.45. The ingredients are a mix of their actual menu items. I don't think they've ever made my frap the correct way, despite the fact that I'm giving them the exact ingredients. They just don't seem to look or taste the way they should, based on the ingredients. Also, picking up the drinks can be chaotic because the staff member doesn't speak loud enough when there's a crowd waiting for their ordered drinks. Sometimes, she isn't too clear either and doesn't repeat what she said. Overall, this is one of the better locations I've been to, mostly because the staff is friendly and the venue is a good choice. It's strange that there's another Starbucks right across the street, but then again, that's how it is everywhere -- Starbucks is just taking over the world!! read more

The worst experience I have ever had! I placed a mobile order from my house which is only about a five minute drive. Once I got there I could see that the barista was busy making other orders. During my 30 minute wait I had asked the barista at three different times if she had a hot chocolate mobile order for Nick. All three times she ignored me and continued to make orders and serve the white patrons. After 30 minutes I looked at my clock and realize I was going to be late for work, I then went to the cashier and asked for a refund and got out of there. This is a classic example of racism at its finest. I will never go to a Starbucks ever again! read more

I work at Dr. Diana Rose's office (if you ever need braces or Invisalign!) in Blackhawk Plaza and the barista, Mike, is literally the best of the best with customer service!! He remembers my name and gives me great suggestions on new drinks. One time I mobile ordered a banana but they were out and I couldn't get mad cuz he was so nice about it. I wonder if they ever consider sweeping the floor in this Starbucks? Was here from 3-4ish on a Sunday and had to wade through straw papers, napkins, newspapers, etc. all over the place. When I arrived to Starbucks this morning, what caught my attention was the long line. I was surprised to see how fast the line was going. All the workers were doing a great job and I can see them working hard. Kudos to employee Mike for getting my order correct. I got exactly what I ordered with no problems. This location is great - big, roomy, and even though the lines can be long, it moves fast. How do I know? Because my 2 tots that I always have in tow don't complain. It's location is great because we're always hanging out there for moms group or play dates so it's super convenient. There's a ton of parking too, so it's great. I never thought I would write a review for a Starbucks, but I feel I have to. The Blackhawk Plaza Starbucks is by far the best Starbucks I've been to. Besides the great location, with plenty of parking and plenty of chairs and tables, this one is unique in different ways. First of all it seems like the manager is very good, and have this Starbucks dialed in to the smallest detail. The staff is friendly, quick and very service minded. They usually remember what I order, but I do come here a lot. The place is always very clean, there's always plenty of supplies in the restrooms (a lot of busy Starbucks forget to refill toilet paper, soap etc.). This location was the first one to offer Google WiFi in my neighborhood, and I've done some speed tests, and even when a lot of people are online, I can get download speeds around 55Mbit/s! They are very generous with samples, both baked goods and hot/cold drinks. They will come to the tables and offer you to try something new. It's just a really nice place to enjoy your coffee, or sit and work on your laptop. I can't put a finger on anything I would change, the manager and staff do a great job. Thanks! read more

Overpriced and really bad coffee. I asked for just the Pike's cup in the afternoon and the coffee was burnt or had been sitting there for a long time. Second time I got a flat white and I have to say luke warm and not worth the price I paid for it. Starbucks is great chain. I really can't rate it based on quality of service or drinks - it's pretty much always good. But whether or not I can find available seating is by far more important as often work there. This location have very limited indoor seating and as a result all laptop seats were taken even at 5:30pm wednesday - not the most popular day. read more

This is my usual 'go to' Starbucks but since they did the 'refresh' it's not as good. I give three stars because I love their egg whites, dark roast, and their team is always warm and welcoming. However, the store is very noisy, the new wooden chairs make sooooo much noise when moved (get some pads for the bottom of the legs as it's REALLY annoying), they have removed most of the comfy chairs and have also created community tables and a row of tables that is not conducive to meeting a friend for a chat. The tables that they have against the wall for those who want to work Are too close together, not enough space in between. They need to put back some of the individual tables. It is just not a great place, in my opinion, anymore to hang out. read more

I think this is an above average starbucks for the area. Pros: -Large interior -Newly remodeled, so its clean -Huge mech selection -Friendly staff -Typically not slow. They are staffed right. Cons: -No Clover... (Come on starbucks!) - Limited outdoor seating (Nothing they can do about it. Go to the one down the street for an awesome patio) -Some of the younger male barista's have a complex. I help host a car meet every third Sunday of the month in the morning right outside the Starbucks and always order my cup of coffee before the start of the event. This Starbucks is just like many other ones, the lines form early in the morning. People do bring their dogs and sit outside when the weather is nice. There's plenty of parking that's shared with all the businesses nearby. The turnover for the staff seems common like other Starbucks, so it's difficult to gauge the consistency of the coffee from each staff member behind the counter, but each time I been here I have been fine with the taste and temperature of my orders. read more

It's Starbucks. Great location in the Blackhawk Plaza in Danville. Easy parking, a few tables outside to enjoy the coffee on a good day, wi-fi, lots of tables and comfy chairs and nicely stocked. Easy to read menu board, chalk board for feature items, glass case for pastries, cold case for other treats and drinks. Wonderful staff, friendly and perky. fast and efficient. Oh, yeah. I have an a regular and consistent customer of Starbucks for over 20 years now and I can honestly say that this location is by far one of their worst. It is so poorly managed and run by a bunch of kids who don't seem to care about common sense. Not sure what the general problem is here but the store is dirty, the staff is in efficient, and the coffee is rarely correct. It's the closest Starbucks to my home but I am now going to be going out of my way to avoid it. read more

It should come as no surprise that this 'Bucks location is huge, lovely and ALWAYS busy - in the heart of a huge shopping center, in easy driving distance of many swanky neighborhoods. I hit them on a Sunday morning around 10:30 and the line was nearly out the door, and luckily I was taking my coffee to go, otherwise I would have been hard pressed to find a seat! I got through the line in about 5 minutes though, and then waited maybe another 2 for my drink. Quite impressive! They've definitely learned how to work this hefty crowd properly, I've waited far longer needlessly at less adept locations. Job well done, and drink well made! I would happily return! read more

I'm not sure how this establishment has 4 stars but they most certainly do not deserve it. The service is CONSISTENTLY slow and disheveled every time I come, and I live right next door. This morning I had to forfeit a drink after waiting for it for 30minutes, my breakfast sandwiches had gotten COLD from waiting for my second drink, and the first drink, which had somehow gotten separated by about ten cups from the second one had become COLD as well. The baristas were unapologetic, unaccommodating, and rude. How DIFFERENT from what all the commercials and sleeves say, right? read more
