This Starbucks is located at Waukegan Roade and Lake Cook Road, very close by Jewel-Osco. It is more spacious than most Starbucks in the neighborhood, providing seating for hanging out or working quite comfortably. There is also a lot of natural light through the windows, and outdoor seating is also available. Although the restaurant is not spotless clean, it is cleaner than most fast-food places. The staff that I have encountered were pretty friendly and helpful. Beverages were prepared efficiently. Most recently, I had a Strawberry Matcha Crème Frappuccino Blended, which was creamy and not too sweet, and I enjoyed it. Their pastries are usually pretty decent as well. There were places to sit inside and it had quite a few people there. The place was busy without a doubt. The restrooms had a key code lock on them as all Starbucks stores do these days. Not the fastest Starbucks out there but still reasonably fast and reliable. The seating area here is a bit quieter than other locations I've seen, even though it's located on a pretty busy intersection. This makes it a good place to hangout or study casually, as the dining room is maintained fairly clean as well. The drinks taste as expected, consistently with about the same sugar and cream level as I get elsewhere. The washrooms are also maintained a bit better than some other locations I've seen as well. read more

This location is wonderful. The staff immediately greet you, and are present and kind which is nice. There is plenty of outdoor space to sit and enjoy your coffee on a nice day, and the inside is quite large too. They are very quick and efficient and my coffee always tastes the same which is great! Just left the Starbucks drive thru today May 9th at 7:30. Reason why I'm putting that info is because the barista was awfully rude and concerning and the manager should talk to him. He took my order but when I got my drink he stared at us very weird, we said hi and thank you and he never said anything back. Even Slammed the drive thru window. I don't usually go to that Starbucks but I will 100% NEVER return. He looked racist (I'm a Latina) and I was actually concerned about him doing something to us. I don't go out for coffee much anymore since transitioning to a remote role and, honestly, even when I do go out Starbucks isn't my preferred place. But I needed to meet a colleague here to hand off some items (that sounds shady - I promise it's not) and decided to splurge on a coffee and breakfast sandwich. I mobile ordered both from the parking lot while waiting for my colleague to arrive and after they departed, I ducked in to pick up my order. The sandwich was ready and the baristas were finishing up the drink, exactly on time with what the app said. Perfect timing for me to dash back home for my next virtual meeting. And then, because I am who I am as a person, I somehow dropped the entire venti brown sugar shaken espresso in the vestibule on my way out. I managed to avoid getting even a single drop on myself (please clap for me) but the windows, door and floor of the vestibule were not as lucky. I'm not a total jerk so I went back to tell the baristas about the mess I made and apologize. Before I could run off, they were making me a new drink. They didn't owe me that - it was my own fault - but they refused to let me pay. A small bit of kindness on a morning that was turning out to be more chaotic than planned was very much appreciated. To start, the service is great. Although, the refreshers from here are never good. The lemonade in the refreshers has a bad taste to it as if its expired, it taste like the smell of beer, which isnt for me. I recently got the pink drink and it did not taste or look like what a pink drink would normally taste/look like. I have given this specific starbucks alot of chances to make up for it, but end up disappointed every time. Ive never gotten hot drinks from this starbucks and i wont chance it either. I have been here a few times before writing the review I wanted to see if it was a consistent issue. This Starbucks is always packed to the gills and there's almost no where to sit. With the exception of one man that works there everyone who I've seen when coming here has been cold and snobby. I like to bring my own mug and at most Starbucks they offered to clean it with warm water. The staff seems to be annoyed by this extra step. The parking here is stressful and it's hard to get a spot. There are differences between Starbucks and this one is consistently less friendly and I try to avoid going to this one. There are so many better ones in the area. read more

What more can I say about Starbucks? The drinks are good the staff can be friendly. But this location? The drive thru line is always long and moves very slowly. People often block the road getting in line for the drive thru. The staff rushes to take orders so sometimes they think you are done ordering before you actually are. If you are a student or work remotely and like to study/work from coffee shops, this location is not your best choice in the Deerfield area. Seating is adequate, but beware of the busy hours. This S'Bucks can get insanely packed both in the store and in the drive-through before and after working hours. It can become quite noisy and people bring children here more than at other S'Bucks I've frequented. More than once there has been a line for the restroom. Like another reviewer, I've spent many many hours working in this Starbucks - not reflected in my check-ins - and have never had a problem with the staff, cleanliness of the store, or the standard S'Bucks product. Aside from the normal fare, they have an efficient, friendly staff who are extra-careful because of the uppity demographic of the area. read more

I've gone to this Starbucks a few times recently since I moved nearby and it's on my way to work. The drive thru is always packed, which is fine, but it takes forever. And lately I have been given the wrong drink almost every time. I get a green tea lemonade, and have been given passion tea, peach tea, plain green tea, etc. Even when I do mobile orders it's wrong. I ordered the pink drink and I ordered a venti but they gave me a grande so I I went up and told them. He gives me the venti but it looks white not pink compared to my friends drink so I went up asked them to remake it but they just added strawberry flavor and it still looked white and don't taste right. I wasn't going to go up again and have them not listen so I went with it. Also when I asked them to fix it both times they don't even look at you and sometimes don't even here you so they look at the table when they set a drink down and just walk away quickly. If I could give this 0 stars or less I would. So if they don't give you the right drink the first time the should just remake it and not fix it because they spent longer trying to fix it than they would just remaking it. read more

I'm sad to say I didn't get the name of the barista who made my coffee this morning, but I made sure to vocalize my satisfaction to her. I get the same thing every dang time I have Starbucks: grande/venti iced cold brew with heavy cream and sugar free vanilla syrup. Everywhere I order this drink, it is subpar, in my opinion, because there isn't enough syrup. I can't taste the sf vanilla ever! Sometimes when I order extra syrup, I still don't taste enough. Although my check ins do not show this, I've been to this location well over 100 times... nearly every single day in fact for a period of time. I used to work in Deerfield so I'd come here in the mornings here and there, but I would always come here after work to study for my actuarial exams. After a month I had gotten to know and become friends with pretty much all the baristas here and they truly do care about the people who come to this location. It's clean, has a drive through, and a good amount of tables and indoor space. There's police who frequent this location for coffee so I feel very safe and of course it's Deerfield too, so I wouldn't expect any issues. As a regular, I've even become friends with many other regulars... one being a retired medical professional who travels to 3rd world countries to teach medical students about cardiac surgery and many others who are studying for career exams or masters or phd programs. The crowd is on the mature side except for weekends when you see younger people coming through here. This is hands down my favorite starbucks location because of the baristas, the people, the location, and the fact that my drink is always done exactly the way I want it no matter how detailed I make my orders. read more

I really like this Starbucks. It's one of the smaller ones, and placed inside a strip mall near the Jewel-Osco, but the baristas here are great, it's not one of the super-popular loud stores populated by young tweens chattering loudly. It seems like one of the smaller ones that people usually just run in and out of, but there are a decent amount of 2person tables and 2 larger tables, as well as outdoor seating. It's great if you're looking for a place to read, study, or have a quiet meeting. read more

If you are in a hurry, do yourself a favor, and GO INSIDE! The drive-thru has to be the slowest drive-thru in northern Illinois. Waited 25 mins just for a black tea. My first time at this new to me Starbucks location and I am a fan. The layout of this location is nice and has lots of seating. There is a section that seems to be purposely dark for people using technology. There are lots of tables for meeting and study groups. The layout also seems very efficient in the way the register is situated relative to the seating areas. The staff seems to be very nice as well. I was greeted warmly and was treated well as I wish all Starbucks locations would treat their guests. For me this location is convenient and I will be coming back! read more
