Drive thru to order a simple cupcake frappuccino and was asked if I know the recipe (which I do). Mind you, we always go to this Starbucks plenty of times when we are heading to SF or heading back to Sac. So we were both confused when she wasn't sure how to make it and seemed puzzled with her tone of voice. I was gonna tip until I saw the receipt. Tall creme base $3.45 hazelnut syrup .50 and caramel drizzle .60! I've never been to a Starbucks where they charge me for every little details but, hey if I want things to be added then of course I have to pay. But,I felt as she didn't like how we order the secret menu frapp from the secret menu on the website (Starbucks) FYI for secret menus the system can be pulled up and BAM the recipe pops up. How I know? Because I've seen a lot of baristas have done that or give them the recipe if the DRINK is not on their website. If you read any of my Starbucks review there was one in Elk Grove that a barista whose name goes by Joey made a cupcake frapp and he knows very well the recipe. The drinks took long also. But, hey might struggle making the drinks or have to clean the blender for the second frapp. No complaints there because maybe there's only two working at the moment. We did for there close to 7pm. Hopefully, we will have better experience on our next trip! Usually the mornings staff are the bomb! And the drinks are awesome! Not sure what has happened but lately everything I've ordered from the Dixon Starbucks in Ary Lane has been awful. It's like staff hasn't been properly trained or they just don't care because I had to stop purchasing anything from this location when it was the best one in town. They made me breakup with Starbucks because not even the simplest orders where made correctly was everything is handed to you sticky and gross. So sad. read more

Call me a skeptic. I rarely ever come to a Starbucks by my own free will. I only go to ones that I have absolutely no choice in going to, and this was more or less one of those. My gf needed a coffee and this was seriously right off the freeway so we went at the crack of 5:30am. The baristas were shockingly friendly and very awake for that hour, and there were quite a number of people inside here already. People were working, doing random meetings with one another and generally livening the place up. I was surprised considering it was 5:30am on a Saturday morning ... but hey, the more the merrier? This is my hometown Starbucks so I will point out the best.... Probably the largest Starbucks you've been to outside of Seattle...equals to a lot of indoor and patio seating. During the day hours it can get busy as this somehow seems to be the favorite coffee shop of all the Bay Area residents travelling to and fro Tahoe/Sierra. Drive through runs next to the freeway and can be frustrating at times to hear anything. For that reason I almost always prefer to order inside. Since the expansion took place (takeover of Quiznos), there is never any lack of seating and it is mostly quiet in the evening hours making a perfect option for studying. There are always a few savvy UCD students taking advantage of this. The bathrooms are clean and the drinks taste like what they should at Starbucks. For some it's a bad thing, for me a good one. All the baristas have been there a while and even though no one knows my name (umm yea I go by my real name), I never had a bad experience....busy times don't count. :) . read more

Terrible service, I've asked For trenta pikachu drink. They said they don't have green tea I've green tea. So as I go up in the front to pay for my drink Is, and get my drink Is, hands me my drink in a Grande size And doesn't even look like the pikachu drink that I saw on Facebook.. This is probably one of the biggest Starbucks I've ever been too..plenty of seating inside, bathrooms with stalls, drive thru (which gets super busy) and convenient since its along I-80 and on the way to Sacraento... Staff here very friendly, efficient, and place clean....though the area where the napkins, cream, milk, was a little messy and out of 1/2 and 1/2 and the vanilla sprinklies and had to ask for replacements. Arrived here about 11:30 am but quickly in-and-out within 10 minutes. YAY! read more

This is one of the biggest Starbucks that I have gone too. There are many seats to hang out in. They had a lot of food to choice from and did not run out from the morning rush. Went in to grab a drink and a sandwich like usual as I normally stop here because semi truck accessible. Well today thanks to Sierra you earned a negative review. While paying for my order today at 0745, I gave her cash and was digging a n my pocket for the .20 for even bills back. She took the bills and rang it through and I put a quarter on the counter for her. She tried to have me my change and I said, "there's a quarter on the counter." "I can't take that sir, I've already closed my drawer." Which was a lie, because I could see it open. Told her to take the .80 plus the .25 and give me a dollar back and keep the nickel. Again she replied, "with CE already closed my drawer and can't open it." Well it was still open and she was using her body to hide it at this point. Took the change and stood to the side abs watched her physically close it before helping the next customer in line. It's pathetic in my opinion that I was blatantly lied to, because like most youth.... They can't do simple math without a calculator or their phone in hand. This starbucks, for whatever reason, plays the music really loudly. When I go in, I ask them politely to turn it down, and they do, but, frankly, even after turning it down it's still louder than most starbucks' stores. The music should be background music. Coffee shops aren't clubs, I'm sorry (not sorry). Hopefully someone reads this and gets the message. I've studied for hours in many different starbucks, and this particular store is the only one I've had issues in on a recurring basis. It has actually gotten worse over the years. It used to be that if I asked them to turn it down it actually went down to manageable levels. Not so anymore. I don't know how any other students, or serious students at least, can study here. I mostly come to this Starbucks when I'm venturing towards the bay area from Sacramento. This is right off the freeway and pretty easy to access. They even have a drive thru. I've been going for over 3 years to this Starbucks with no major complaints! Pretty friendly people. I went in (as opposed to doing the drive thru route) because I had to the use the restroom. Why is the women's toilet always longer than the men's?! So I used the men's room which was surprisingly clean! I ordered the iced coffee with soy. Delicious! I stopped in last Saturday at 6am and ordered their current hot item, the Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato. I took a sip as I was walking away and I noticed that something tasted different from the first one I ever got (not at this location), I realized there was no caramel. I kindly asked the guy "Can I ask you a question? I just got one of these the other day and I could have sworn there was caramel in it before, was I wrong?" The guy actually told me that it doesn't come with caramel and that it's only made with the chocolate sauce. His snarky attitude made me feel two different ways with two different thoughts which were that "Duh! Of course it doesn't come with caramel, my hometown Starbucks is just AMAZING and they hook it up" and two "wow, this guy is kind of a jerk.. I'm not even going to bother him further". I left with my not-as-good-as-usual drink. When I returned back to town (stopped in at this Dixon location on the way to the bay area), I asked the folks at my local Starbucks how this drink is normally made and the Baristas said "WITH Caramel". Dang! It's the Taj Mahal of Starbucks! We've been here twice now and both times we had great service and perfect drink orders. Score! This location is on the way for us when we drive to the Bay Area. Good stopping point. Lots of parking, right off/on the freeway. The thing about this one is....it's HUGE! Like seating for 50 people huge! Always a place to sit and hang out. I visited this Starbucks on my way out tonight with friends. They were still supposed to be open for another hour yet all the chairs were already up on tables except where the two or three seated patrons were sitting. That wasn't very inviting. The staff didn't really greet me. It honestly felt more like I was bothering their wind down routine. But they took my order, and my drink turned out as expected. I do drink tea, and I've never had a bad cup of tea at this Starbucks (you'd think it would be a uniform type of drink, but I've had some truly nasty iced black tea in some of the San Francisco 'Bucks...) This is a huge Starbucks; since its remodel and expansion a couple of years ago, I've only gone in and found it packed a couple of times. While the line might get long, especially during the noon-1:30ish time frame--there are always open tables and places to just plop down and read. I'm a writer by trade, and this is the place I go when I simply don't want to sit at my desk at home. I'm in there 2-4 times a week and the only time I'm not happy is when someone else has gotten to my favorite table first. It's an ideal spot for working or studying: not too loud, not too quiet, even when there are a lot of people there. There are also outside tables for those who want to soak up some sun and listen to the traffic rumble on the Interstate. This has truly become my favorite place to work from--I've finished 2 books and countless self-serving blog entries while dodging the distraction of their free WiFi. read more

Absolutely on point! Don't hesitate - you need coffee or a bite to eat but on the approach you wonder if getting on/off the freeway is gonna be more hassle than what it's worth? Yeah, don't trip. You'll be able to easily get to the Starbucks, and served in a reasonable amount of time. Sometimes you just can't go any longer on that trip to/from the Bay Area and this is a good place to stop. I know you will want to override the exit signs leaving Starbucks to get back to the freeway. Your natural instinct is just to retrace your steps from the direction you came-don't. Just follow the signs. I tried the new latte macchiato and it was delicious, but I think I will stick with my quad venti breve latte. The price point for the two beverages is about the same, and so it's just best to stick with what you enjoy the most...unless, like the exit to this place, you are tempted to go in a different direction and simply can't resist. read more

Starbucks coffee is objectively not good. I think that every time I'm at a Starbucks (which is often -- you'd think I would just stop coming!)! But the thing this particular Starbucks has going for it is the seating and environment. There is a quite a bit of seating inside as well as outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. They have various types of seating too to fit your needs (lower couches tall cocktail-esque tables with stools, booths with padded seats, long tables and chairs). Plus the lighting is great -- you can sit further in if you prefer the darker atmosphere or near the window if you want some natural light! This is a great Starbucks to come and spend the day in doing work (with the exception of quality coffee of course)! read more

Nice Starbucks location that's easy to get to from the highway with quick service! Located in the small town of Dixon right off Highway 80. Easy to get in and out of from the highway which was my main reason for choosing the location. From the time I turned off the highway to the time I turned back on was probably about 10 minutes. I came here at about Noon on a Wednesday and was one of only two people in the drive thru. Nice! They were really quick with my order and my change so I was out in no time. I ordered a Tall Iced Mocha with Raspberry and it was super good! They never did ask me if I wanted whip cream (and I didn't) but they included it anyway. I never order the drink so I wasn't aware it came with whip, so I would have liked to know but I guess I'll know for next time! I will definitely stop here when driving through on Highway 80 again because it's the easiest Starbucks to get in and out of in the area. read more

On the way to a summertime trip to Squaw Creek, we drove past this drive-through SBUX in Dixon. 3 key qualities: 1) open early (we made it there around 6am on a weekday). 2) cool about correct change: we dropped a quarter when paying at the drive-through window. I love this particular drive-thru location en route to Boreal. Luckily, I needed to stretch my legs and visit the restroom, so we witnessed some very cool things 'bout this branch. The staff were super-friendly and efficient. They were still well-stocked on holiday clearance items so we just HAD to buy some new travel mugs! (You really can't have enough of these). On the wall above the condiment bar, just beside the barista counter where you wait for your drinks, they had some prominently displayed photos. One was labeled "In Our Neighborhood. Welcome to Dixon Starbucks. Get to know about the partners - their favorite drinks and pastries." Below this, were photos of all staff members along with the promised info.! I thought this was so great and personable. I also LOVE that they use the term "partner" instead of "staff" or "employee." It must help in having their employees feel vested in their workplace. Beside this "billboard," was another smaller photo frame labeled "Partner of the Quarter. Partner of the Month. Customer of the Month;" each title accompanied with their respective photos. Very cool. Additionally, they obliged me by giving me "extra red sprinkles" on my peppermint mocha! And it tasted that much better in my brand-spankin-new, sale-priced travel mug!!! read more

Worst service ever in a Starbucks. I travel and frequently make a pit stop here on my way to the Bay Area. Every time I get the same guy taking my order and it honestly seems like he hates his life or something. I always have to repeat my order and he frequently gets my order wrong even after I repeat myself! Also seems to be no priorities when there is a line waiting to take orders. Not friendly at all. I dropped by this Starbucks on the way to Sacramento. They have a drive thru so the employees helping out the customers seem to be split. I decided to go into the Starbucks instead of trying the hit the drive thru. Unfortunately there was a long line and only one cashier helping people out. While waiting, I noticed there were 2 people helping out with drive thru. Now I don't know the protocol in Starbucks when they have a drive thru, but the only thing I expect from Starbucks is consistency in their coffee and fast customer service. LOVE this place ! It's my go to spot when the starbucks in Davis is full. It's so big and spacious! Plenty of seating !! Even small couches to lounge in ! It's never packed and makes for a great study spot. The staff is great , very friendly ! This tends to be a busy location so often times the line to order a beverage is really long, so make note of that. They are a drive thru location as well which makes it convenient for coffee on the go since it's literally right off the freeway . I stopped by here to work on my deposition outline before heading into Sacramento since I was a bit early. This place was perfect. It's right off the highway, not too crowded and the interior is the best and most conducive for work and study that I've ever seen. EVER. If this place existed in the Bay Area, it would be swarmed by students, hipsters on their macs, people reading, etc. They have a diverse variety of furniture from high bar tables and chairs to a communal long wood table, individual tables like little desks, or a conversational four-person set up in the middle that is a bit more cozy and casual. When I am on the road between Santa Rosa and Sacramento, this is my place that I always stop. It is one of the nicest Starbucks on the I-80 corridor. Clean as a whistle, light and bright, very fast and efficient service from the staff. There is always a line, but it moves quickly because they are so efficient!
