Dear Mr. Johnson, CEO Starbucks Today is my birthday long time gold card member. It seems you have problem employees at this store as I was advised by Edith store cashier that my stuff was showing under knee length oversized cover-up and that she wouldn't serve me untill I put a bra on and then she said she was aware me and my sister...(my mom) age 83 come there all the time and if I didn't change to a bra she refused to serve me and would call the cops on me...this happened today January 15 my birthday when I went to get a sample coffee because my mom got a bagel she had a hard time eating for national bagel day...so I told her you are on video and what I'm wearing is non of your business and I have the right to sue you...so she said do whatever you have to do and I said how about a meeting with the the district manager...oh she's here in the store but nobody materialized she just kept working...the time was 8:54 am. And store manager didn't get involved nor did anybody else. Then it was included how I should put something else on and then come back and or change my dress because my stuff was bouncing...I have been a long time customer and have noticed increased attitude in this store especially by Jenn manager telling me to go somewhere else if I was being cyber harassed by someone several times on different occasions where my location was using my computer then finding a ton of coffee splashed all over my car. I recently reported it to corporate and was asked if I was given a gift card and how I was treated. Then Edith goes to the board to point out the rules of the store to me and how I'm not following them. Also if I didn't put the bra on cops would be called so I said go ahead. We also got thrown out of Starbucks nearby El Segundo Plaza near the Point in which a store employee named Brenda wanted to know my mom's name regarding an incident but she was the new manager and I told her she is 83 years old bug off. And she ran away...my mom did not like a girl with growing bumps on her face working with food and asked if it was contagious because she is a germ conscious person so the manager threw my mom out of the store...that lady is gone and so are those employees...security was called to throw my mom out and when she went to use the toilet later in the evening the employee on duty called security at this Starbucks as well which I documented.  You have someone going into personal effects on customers computers as this has happened several times going through everything..including find location of computer to see where you are sitting...these employee s two female managers..one named Jenn were not helpful to go somewhere else and store manager told me I was bothering her staff... 2231 Rosecrans Ave, El Segundo CA 90245 read more

This is my regular evening Starbucks, I'm sure it's busy during the day but at night it's never crowded. I like to sit on the patio enjoying the night air and watch the traffic go by. Here's the Starbucks Checklist: Baristas are quick & friendly. Line is always short at night. No drive thru. Plenty of parking. Lots of seating inside and outside with a big patio area. Store & patio cleanliness = B Bathroom cleanliness = A It's the perfect location for a quick stop or a leisurely visit at night. read more

Your typical run-of-the-mill Starbucks. The place was clean and the coffee was good. However, I ordered on the app and there were no signs indicating you have walk to the far end of the restaurant to get your drink. I was waiting several minutes for my drink before the barista told me where it was located. Otherwise, it was as you'd expect. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY. WORST STARBUCKS YOU COULD GO TO. I have several things to say. First, I love Starbucks, and go once or twice a week to get my mom her favorite drink. I have been to this Starbucks 3 times only because it's close to my work. Not once has there been adequate service at this location. I'm not sure whether to blame the staff or management but something has gone wrong there for sure. Each time I've gone I always have to wait at bare minimum 15 minutes to get my drink. Today was no different. All I ordered was a grande Ice tea at 2pm, far from their peak hours. After waiting some time, I nicely came up to the counter and asked one of the baristas if he knew if my order would be ready soon. He ignored me, and when he eventually called out my name I asked him why he was ignoring me and he gave me a snarky remark and walked off. There was 4 members at this Starbucks and only 3 people waiting on beverages, so to wait 15 minutes is ludicrous. On top of everything, they clearly never clean out their ice like they're supposed to the standard twice a month. See attached pictures. There is something nasty in my ice, which I only discovered after I drank half my drink. Lovely. I'm throwing out the rest of this beverage and never going to this location again. Like Foam?? 10. The Mystical Water 7. THINGS TO MAKE YOUR STARBUCKS LIFE EASIER * The little red light on the coffee pot: Yes, it should be lighted. If they serve you coffee and it's not on, then it's not fresh or hot enough. * FRESH definition: Yes, it's a waste but baristas dump out the coffee every hour. If that means that we dump out a whole pot because only one cup is sold, then so be it. It's their quality and temperature control. Plus, coffee loses its flavor after being heated for so long. * Don't ever ever ever re-heat your coffee. It ruins it. * Drink it slow but want it hot? Ask for the coffee (not drip coffees, the other caffeinated stuff) to be made extra hot. You can specify the temperature too. It's policy to serve drinks that are between 140 - 160 degrees. Extra hot is 180 degrees. Don't ever ask for it hotter than that. That's the temperature at which milk sours. Trust me, I used to warn some people not to order at 190 but they don't listen. * Is your tea too hot to drink right away? The hot water is served at 180 degrees. If you want to drink it right away then ask for a specific number of ice cubs to be added into it. People usually order 5 cubes for a tall. * Learn the name of your regular baristas. Trust me, your drinks get done faster and taste better. * Yes, they do live on the tips. I also find that Starbucks store that have a relatively high number of tips have a better maintained store and better tasting drinks. How do you find one of these? It's a guess but the ones in nicer neighborhoods with lots of regulars are usually it. 8. SOY MILK * Like the soy milk but think it's expensive? Order a kid's milk but tell them to make it a soy like this, "Hey, can I get a kid's milk but with soy?" If they are nice, they will charge you $1.40. If not, they will charge you for a tall milk with a .40 soy charge at $2.65. * Why is the soy milk different? Yes, it's authentic silk soy milk but it has also been sweetened with our special vanilla. That's why it tastes different and you can't just add espresso shots with soy milk at home. You can buy it at some stores. It helped me give up soda. 9. FOAM - I love cappuccino's so here's a section on Foam. First of all, not every barista knows how to make foam. Seriously, it's an art. If it's the morning rush or a rookie, they make crappy foam. It takes us a long time to figure out how to steam milk perfectly to get perfect foam. * Perfect Foam (Starbucks definition): A creamy foam that has almost no bubbles and floats on top of the coffee. If the cup was open, it would have a curved surface. * How to ask for perfect Foam: - Only whole milk can foam perfectly. So ask for whole milk foam on your non-fat latte. - If you know one of the baristas has been there for a long time, they do know how to make perfect non-fat foam. It's so hard. - Soy milk foam looks and tastes like crap. It's always bubbly. See above for advice. * Creamy Foam: If you ask for this, then they know you want a more liquid foam that is without bubbles. * Extra Dry Foam: You like the bubbles and the "dryness" of the foam. 10. THE MYSTICAL WATER Okay, some people have looked at me funny when I walk out of a Starbucks with 4 Venti Ice Waters and 1 coffee. Here's why it's worth the hassle. * Every time a new location is scouted, what they are really looking for is whether they can install the super duper water filtration system that needs to go underground. * All the water is hyper-filtered for everything you can think of including negative ions. The reason why is because any water impurities will interact with the coffee and make it taste bad. * I always drink a large water to detox the caffeine. You'll be more tired if you don't drink enough water to combat the dehydration power of caffeine. Caffeine only lasts 4 hours so drinking this amount of water does lower the lasting power. * Water should always be FREE. However, some LA-based stores charge 10 cents for the cup. I've noticed that they only bring this up if their store is located by a lot of transients. * Their water tastes awesome!!! * Make sure you watch where the water comes from and that they use the right tap. Some of the newer partners don't know where to get water. read more

Been coming here twice a day for the last couple months. They've only got my drink right maybe 3 times, I pay extra for extra shots and syrup and it's never done. For a 7 dollar drink it's pretty ridiculous to never have the drink done right, it's fairly basic too. read more

This place is nice. Big. Plenty of seating. They share a parking lot with the Noah's Bagels at the back. Not on Rosecrans. You turn on Douglas. It's pretty easy to get in and out of. Slowest Starbucks around, even for mobile orders. This is the only Starbucks location I have ever had to cancel a mobile order because it was making me late for meetings. Twice. Mornings? Expect a 20 min wait from the time you order, either in person or via mobile. If you think you can skip ahead you're wrong. You will wait another 10 min, even after a 10 min drive for your mobile order. And when the Rosecrans and Sepulveda location loses its mobile ordering link - god help you. This place becomes a mess to avoid entirely. read more

This is not my favorite Starbucks, but it is very close to work and it does suffice to get a quick fix. - The layout in very small and cramped. The line takes up the whole parking lot side entrance. - Very few tables or seating areas (but there are some shared outside seats). - Usually occupied restroom...has to serve a decent crowd on most mornings. - The staff is efficient and mostly nice. No complaints there. - High traffic parking lot with the bank, and Noah's Bagels in adjacent space. ENJOY! read more

This location is typical size Starbucks inside and the line gets long on some mornings during the rush. The team here is friendly and they remember your order. If the line isn't long, you can get in and out very quick. The taste can vary depending on who makes the drink, but they are pretty good for the most part. They don't mess up the orders. read more

I'm very mixed on my review of this Starbucks. For the staff and products, I'd say a 4. The staff has always been polite and I've never had a complaint with any product I have purchased there. But I'll be honest - I get my food at the Noah's next door. Their coffee is substantially better than Starbucks, and I like their bagels. I've been going here several times a week for the past few weeks to work out of. For the ambience/environment, I give this a 2 or a 3. Their internet was down for a whole week. I know that sounds silly to complain about, but when your main purpose for going to that store is to have a place to work, and the internet is down, well hell. That takes off a star. Lately I have found this location waaaaay too noisy and hectic. The lines are crazy long until about 11 AM (I know because I sit there and see it really pile up, and then go crazy at noon). They must do a good job on their coffee, based on the other reviews and the lines I have observed, but I don't recommend this as a place to hang out and chat, unless the weather is nice and you don't mind the patio outside. read more

Yes Starbucks is corporate, it is Fortune 500, it is all that is not good... But whatever it is convenient and I like it and I have a Starbucks gold card. I like their Pike Place roast and when I am in the mood for an espresso type - I like the Skinny Vanilla Latte, it's a less guilty choice. I drink coffee from Starbucks on a regular basis and I'm a fan of this place because of the friendly baristas in the morning. I have been to plenty of Starbucks locations but this place truly has a good staff serving coffee and pastries in the morning... each person at this location is amazing! I have been going to this particular Starbucks since June 2011. I stop by to get my regular drink before I head to the office and once a week I pick up a traveler for my team. The entire staff is nice and personable. Some even remembers my name, which is a plus in my book!!! Between 8-9am, the line may seem long but it moves fast and the drinks are made to perfection. This is not the closest Starbucks location from my place but I perfer this location then any other Starbucks in El Segundo. The morning staff gets 5 stars from me! read more

While this is not my favorite Starbuck's location, I always receive warm and friendly service here. It is on the way to my office and the ArcLight theater my daughter and I like to watch movies at; so I will stop in here from time to time if necessary. It is very small compared to a lot of other Starbucks locations but there is outdoor seating. So you will find yourself standing in line and during the rush, it can get cramped and you may feel claustrophobic. It is surrounded by businesses and restaurants which may cause some craziness since it's the only Starbucks in the area and right next door to a Noah's Bagels. PARKING: There is a good size lot it shares with Noah's Bagels. Morning time can be bit crunchy in terms of spaces and getting in and out of the lot because of the one entrance and exit is has. read more

I never really liked Starbucks Coffee all that much until someone at work started brewing a pot of Italian roast regularly and I fell in love with it. And let me tell you, Italian Roast is both strong and smooth when brewed properly, but at home when I drink coffee, I add a good amount of vanilla flavored soy milk because that how I make a latte. The question of the day was could this location recreate a special cup o joe to my liking? The answer is yes. Ordering off of the menu, they poured one medium cup of Sumatra, which is their one of their strongest brews, with 1/3rd soy milk. It's still not my beloved Italian roast, but since I rather have strong coffee instead of bitter expresso shots like they put in their lattes, it hit the spot. read more

Although convenience brougt me here in the begining I would still come to this location over others just because of the staff. There's free WIFI that is absolutely not secured, but pretty fast connection and there are quiet corners to avoid all the noise around you. True to Starbucks nature (or a specifically busy Starbucks), the baristas at this location know how to quickly pump out the good drinks for the caffeine-deprived am rush. All the employees here are courteous and friendly even when the most posh executive is not. It gets a little crowded in the lounge area since it's a small spot, but there's plenty of room on the outside patio. Try to get here around 7-8am, 10am-12pm and 2-5pm. I once had the huge displeasure of going through caffeine withdrawals. I had a headache straight out of the movie Scanners, cotten mouth, thirsty, and lethargy for an entire weekend which landed me in bed and asleep. Since then, I've cut down on my coffee consumption to almost nil. This place used to be a daily morning ritual though, not for coffee... but to go with a friend and get out of the office for a break. The walk over was nice and it's just good to get out. The service here is decent enough, the place is small, and it gets kind of packed. (note: it's also a free wireless hotspot for internet!) The real reason I give it 4 stars, is because one day, me and my friend walked in... And there she was, waiting in line... Like most Starbucks the service is great and the place is clean. I'm not a big fan of their coffee. I personally think that it all tastes the same, but when you need a caffeine fix, it's not a bad place to get coffee. The people watching at this Starbucks is insane. This is the best Starbucks I have ever been too. Everyday I stop by and the team remembers my name, my drink, and even reminds me to use my Starbucks card. It's not okay to have conversations when working I feel like it's unprofessional and there was a lady named "Jen" making faces and having conversations with her co worker that's not okay and then she charged us 4 dollars for a horizon for a chocolate milk without letting us know. When I say there is a Starbucks on every corner near my house, I mean LITERALLY, there is a Starbucks on every corner. But of all of them, this is my favorite location to study, and when I say study, I mean study! As with most the Starbucks locations, internet here kind of sucks. It's like the dial-up days of waiting and watching for your page to load. The reason I like coming out here though, is that they have two large square tables. Most the other locations have the small round tables the just barely fits my laptop. I need my space to write notes and spread out my things and this is the only location I can do that. read more

I enjoy Starbucks coffee overall, but at this location I particular LOVE the workers - especially the "black apron" coffee masters, Layra and Brenna. They make my drinks with such finesse, and have went the extra mile to welcome me back with "I haven't seen you in awhile" when I've been away. All the team members are excellent, and I give major Kudos to all of them. Keep smiling and offering great customer service. Even those rude customers, and sneaky ones who order tall and then say they meant venti. To see them make a new one without charging them blows my mind. Of note: They have an evening rush. Patience is needed as you wait for your drink. If you want it made right, it'll take a few minutes, but the first sip will prove worth it! read more
