I mean lets be honest, its a starbucks.. there isnt much to complain about. This location in particular does not have much seating and is pretty loud due to its small size. The one nice thing is theres is plenty of room outside to sit. Just be warned it is very loud since it is located on a main street. read more

Don't waste your time with a mobile order here in the morning. They consistently understaff their morning shift. Takes 15 minutes for them to make your order and they move as slow as possible. I'm so disappointed that this is on my way to work. It's a terrible store. read more

I am a huge fan of Starbucks that believe in keeping their customers happy and their store clean. This Starbucks is no different. I have never once gone in and had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and the crowd tends to be local & quiet. This Starbucks does not have a toaster probably because of Noah's next door and all. I believe that customers from Noah's get there coffee at Starbucks and there bagels from Noah's so it all works out in the end. This Starbucks shares their parking lot with Noah's which is never a problem. I will continue to give this Starbucks my business when I am in the area and in the mood for a bagel. I've started going to this Starbucks because it's a little more convenient than the one around the corner I used to use. I don't drink much coffee, but I do drink a lot of tea and I'm a fan of iced-tea/lemonade mixes. Baristas are fast and friendly. It seems like they smile and laugh a lot among each other, even when they're not "on" for customers, which is probably a good sign for how management treats them (you can tell when management at a place doesn't treat its workers well, it always shows). My drinks have always been made super fast, though it probably helps that my orders are generally straight off the menu or otherwise simple. They're also always right, which hasn't always been the case at other coffee shops, even when my order is pretty plain. There's ample seating inside and out; I always walk, so I can't speak to the parking situation. There are two exits; one leading to the sidewalks out front and one to the back where the parking is. It's easy peasy to get in and out. My one complaint is that the interior counter setup is a little weird. The pickup spot is squished into a corner along with several small tables, and I inevitably end up whacking into someone trying to sit down. Aside from that, it's a good location with a pretty good setup and really great staff. read more

Looks like my regular spot of Coffee Bean across the street is gonna have some competition. This new layout is way better than that ugly U-shape they had. This is definitely not the space for anyone coming with more than 2 people. But I always study alone, so I love having my own space, table, and outlet. First time visiting this Starbucks and was surprised as how dead it was in the morning in an area of Manhattan Beach that is populated with so many companies. Usually I expect such starbucks to be packed with business people who need their coffee stat! However, I came in on holiday, so maybe that may have been the reason why it was so dead. Although this place is in a wierd spot and literally down the street from another location, I go back to this one because it's actually really pleasant to sit out front and lounge. It's set just far enough back from the main street that it's not distracting. It has it's own parking lot through the other side and it's next door to Noah's so you can get a breakfast bagel or whatever and enjoy both. Dropped in for my daily iced Americano after getting off the 105. The cashier was none too friendly, since his personal conversation was obviously more important. But then the barista came through in the clutch! As we were standing there, he struck up a conversation. He asked about what we were doing this weekend and who all the drinks were for (we ordered 4). We told him how my grandma and great-grandma claim to not eat sweets, but they drink a grande (sometimes venti!) caramel frap with whipped cream and EXTRA caramel. He and I joked about valley girls who come in and want the calorie breakdown of every drink when you KNOW they're just going to get plain coffee with nonfat milk. Lame to review Starbucks? Maybe. But this is hands down one of the best outlets of this brand that I have been to. There are many things I am good at in this life, but for some reason making coffee isn't one of them. I always end up making it either too weak or too strong - seriously, you've never had a worse cup of coffee than one brewed by me. I have tried all manners of blame shifting (the beans, the machine, the french press, the grinder) but you could give me the best coffee in the world with the most expensive coffee maker and I'd still manage to mess it up. I guess some of us were put here on this earth to keep establishments like Starbucks open due to our utter lack of the ability to satisfy our caffeine cravings. This Starbucks gave me my first tasty cup of coffee in socal, service with a smile (even before 8am on a Monday), and super duper quick satisfaction (aka they know how to make quick drinks). Also, they never flinch when I order my tall coffee in a grande cup topped off with soy milk. They don't even question it. Sometimes capitalism is great. read more

A TON of parking. That is a HUGE plus. I like to be able to park and run in to grab my drink. If you're looking to sit down to get some work done, there are tables there. Not the biggest Sbux ever, but it'll do. Plenty of plugs to charge your laptop/phone. Like it. Would definitely come back to do some work. read more

I love the new design, and glad I waited to review! The previous layout was a bit crowded but now, this location is excellent for tipping back a cup 'o' joe, pulling out the laptop and popping a squat inside or on the cozy patio to clock some hours in. The staff here are informed, quick, and uber friendly. The Coffee Bean across the street has a little more room to spread out, but this SB is right up my alley in every way since I don't use it as an office away from home. Always on point are the coffee and pastries. These baristas know their skinny vanilla chai tea latte's or whatever. I usually opt for a double shot of espresso, hard to screw up, but I think you'll be impressed too! read more

I have been working across the street from this Starbucks for over 3 years and i have never been dissatisfied with this Starbucks. The staff is very friendly and have ALWAYS gotten my order correctly. I often order a Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher, Caramel Frappucino, Vanilla Bean Frappucino, or a White Chocolate Mocha hot. Best Starbucks in the South Bay. Love the staff. Minus one younger guy who is always talking to his friends that come in and complaining about not getting hours. On top of it when he makes my drink it always sucks. Wonder why you don't get hours... All the baristas are sweet and talk to me. Never have to wait super long, they're on top of it. I can't say enough about how nice the store looks since they remodeled. Definitely come to this Starbucks if you want a little hometown feel. read more

This Starbucks is horrible. They never have the mobile orders ready in a timely manner and they take forever to make orders that you place in store. Employees are constantly chatting with each other and moving at the pace of a snail instead of assisting the long line of customers. I have tried to give this location more chances as it is close to my work but I will no longer be going back after waiting in store 15 minutes for a mobile order that should have been ready when i arrived. Sad. I preface this by saying first off that I'm an idiot for leaving my wallet in the restroom in the first place. That said... I arrived at this smaller-than-average Starbucks location around 6:30pm (Aug. 29). I ordered a green tea from a polite young lady, then I set my drink and backpack down at a table in the main sitting area and headed to the restroom. It was occupied. I sit back down. I hear a person walk out of the one occupied restroom -- it is a gentleman Starbucks staff member carrying a bag of trash. Sweet. I get up and use the restroom. I leave my backpack, but carry in-hand my wallet, car key, and phone. I don't have pockets (because I am coming from physical therapy and have on my lame pocket-less workout shorts) so I leave my wallet, car key, and phone on a small convenient metal shelving in the restroom. I do my business, and then I leave the restroom and forget my personal items on the shelving. I sit back down. Then, out of my peripheral vision I recall the same staff member walk into the bathroom, this time with a broom -- likely simply to continue cleaning. I continue working on my laptop for about 15 minutes when I realize I can't find my phone. I remember that I have foolishly left them in the restroom. I get up almost knocking down a DJ'ing device from the gentleman sitting next to me. I head to the restroom -- nothing there. I head straight to the cashier. I see a gentleman staff member (about the same stature, complexion, and build) and ask, "Did I leave my wallet and phone and key in the bathroom?" With a knowing look he glances at a spot behind the counter and responds, "Could you describe them?" I describe them, and he hands me the items. I am honest to God GRATEFUL. I wish the story ended here. I thank him. Then, I sit down and notice that all the cash is missing from the wallet (about $40, whoopty doo). I head over to the same gentleman and ask, "Could you check to see if any cash had fallen out? I am pretty sure I had about $40 in my wallet." Again, all this is happening within a 20-40 minute window. He responds, "No, sorry, I just saw the items here behind the counter." So I say, "OK. Thanks." And I sit back down at my seat to continue working on my laptop. But this short exchange is not sitting right for me at all; how could my items just show up at the counter? Just WHO brought the items to the counter? I could understand if it was hours ago at a large Starbucks location with many people visiting the restroom, that that might render this a lost cause, but my situation has just happened 15-30 minutes ago in a rather small Starbucks location with just myself followed by that gentleman Starbucks staffer entering the restroom. After stewing for about 15 minutes or so, I pack up my things and decide to present my inquiry to the staff members one last time. I approach a female staffer and said, "I don't like causing trouble, but I just wanted to know who was the person who brought my items from the bathroom to the counter. I think it was a gentleman who walked into the bathroom after me to do some cleaning." The lady shrugged and looked to that one gentleman staff member who also shrugged and reiterated, "I just saw the items here behind the counter." So this time I persisted, "OK, that's fine. But WHO THEN, brought my items to the counter if it wasn't you? (I'm thinking: isn't it odd to just deny and not offer another person's name? Oh it was so-and-so who was cleaning the bathroom, for example.) It was literally within the last 30 minutes. Certainly a customer didn't reach behind the counter and put it back there him/herself." Shrugs from all three staff members -- at the time it seemed like there were only three staff members; two female, one male. I continued, because now it is TOTALLY bewildering to me that they can't recall, between 3 staff members, who brought 3 lost items to the back of the counter in the last 30 minutes. "OK. Let me ask it this way," I said, "There was a gentleman who cleaned the restroom after I came in. Who was THAT gentleman, because he would be the only person who would likely save my items for me behind the counter." The two female staff members looked at the one male staff member, and he replied quickly and with no eye contact, "Well, I cleaned it, but I didn't bring the items to the counter." Really?! REALLY?! He would actually ADMIT to cleaning the restroom, and yet insist that my items were ALREADY somehow present behind the counter?! I was beside myself. Visiting from out of town. Learned something new about my wife's drink she has been ordering for years and no one seems to get it right. Barista took her time and explained the difference and how she should order the correct way to ensure her drink isn't full of milk and foam. Service was good and they were very nice. It could have been cleaner. Tables weren't wiped off and trash on the floor. Outside was set up very nice. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! My boyfriend and I were driving by and decided to get coffee. We walk in and were not greeted by any of the 3 associates. This was the first time at any Starbucks that this happens to us. When we were at the register ready to order everyone was doing their own thing. No one looked up to say they would be with us. They did not acknowledge our presence at all. Jazmin was too busy talking to some guy who did not work there (I'm guessing a friend). When an associate finally came to take our order he didn't apologize or greet us he just asked for our order. Once that was done we waited for it and Jazmin handed it over but didn't even bother to make eye contact or say anything. We said thank you and of course were ignored. This has been the worst customer service I have EVER experienced at any Starbucks. read more

Can I please give ZERO stars for this Starbucks?! I previously purchased two one pound bags of whole beans. Today I brought them in to have them ground. One Barista, one cashier, two ladies behind the pastry counter changing out signs. The cashier too my bags and set them on the back counter, then proceeded to help another six people who came in AFTER me. The ladies behind the pastries diligently ignored my bags on the back counter. Now almost 10 minutes after walking in My beans are finally being ground. Remind me to avoid this Starbucks at all costs in the future!!!! read more

Horrible customer service!! I've been coming here for 5+ years and yesterday was a disgrace. I came in an purchased as tall coffee in a venti cup (my usual for room) and requested milk, Starbucks employee poured it to the top the way I always get it. Brandon walks over and grabs the coffee from my hands and says we can only give you 4oz of milk. We have to re make it! He pours my coffee out and hands me a tall coffee with no milk. I requested milk again and he pours "4oz" in a small cup. I requested half/half and he says we can only give you 4oz. I took the milk poured it into my cup and than decided to pour it on the Starbucks floor (I shouldn't have done that, apologies, but I was frustrated). I felt as if I was singled out and disrespected. I will not be coming to this Starbucks EVER again... Coffee bean doesn't have a 4oz rule so that were I will be getting my coffee for the next 20 years! Pathetic! Ps I want a refund! read more

Not a fan of this location after a barista here purposely tried to give me regular milk instead of coconut milk; I'm lactose intolerant. I had to go to another barista and insist that my drink be made correctly because the first barista refused, insisted all drinks have regular milk, and then blew me off. I contacted Starbucks about this, and I received an impersonal, almost certainly automatic response and was told I would be sent a $10 gift card...nothing was done to address my concern that people with food allergies and digestion issues could literally be poisoned by idiot baristas in a bad mood. Time to see if Coffee Bean across the street can do better. read more

I'm sure this review will not matter to the Starbucks Zombies that frequent this location in a business district but I had to make a comment. Went there last night with a friend (I don't live in this area) my friend goes there all the time. Worst experience ever! The other reviews say staff is friendly - not the person I dealt with. It was last night (Sunday around 6:30 PM) not busy. I ordered my drink my friend still needed to order, but I was also getting a dessert. I was deciding what to get and didn't notice the impatient woman behind me. The guy taking my order when straight past me in the middle of my order and took her order. What an idiot. We left, went to a different location. I ask the guy if he would do that an he said no way that was so rude. Won't go back to that Starbucks ever!!! read more

Went to this location today at 2pm and I didn't have the best experience. I asked if there was a way to make a mocha macchiato instead of the caramel , they completely looked at me like they never heard of such thing and made me feel somewhat uncomfortable . I've been to many other locations where they gladly helped me modify my order which is one of the best qualities that Starbucks excels in not to mention customer satisfaction. Mehh it was ok being they had to make my drink twice i asked for a grande non-fat no foam toffee nut latte and it was full of foam and cold. I asked for the drink to be remade it still had foam and was just as cold. I met a friend there i hadnt seen in years so that was more important so i sipped on a cold foamy latte lol. read more
