Husband loves this place honestly. He needs his morning Java each day and then a couple of refills throughout the day. This location is bright and sunny, with some seating ( not a whole lot). He likes most his baristas and has a great relationship with them. I think there are a couple of them here that don't always honor his free refills, which annoys him haha. They are pretty good about getting orders right and will redo a drink if you don't like it. It's super close to us, and hubby js a complete regular. read more

Not to be dramatic, but this is the best Starbucks in Fairfax haha. That may be weird to say about a chain coffee place, but it's true. I get the same drink at every Starbucks and I swear this location always makes it the best. It's a simple drink: vanilla iced coffee with classic and vanilla syrups and a splash of half and half. But other locations just aren't consistent with it. This one gets it right every single time. The baristas are always so friendly, too. Firstly, I am not a resident of Virginia- simply visiting for the weekend and stopped into this Starbucks before my planned afternoon activity. Upon entering the store my mother and I received distracted customer service as there appeared to have been some internal tension among coworkers. Our names were not taken for our order and when following up on the status of the order the barista responded" we're kind of busy" and walked away. There were 4 people in the store and 3 baristas. After 15 minutes and a 2nd follow up, our order was completed. There were no napkins available, I was given paper towels when I requested napkins. No food items were available for order either. Stopped in to this Starbucks for some life giving caffeine this morning - got myself a Grande coffee - and something to eat that I've not noticed or ever had before - a Broccoli-Cheddar scone. I had the scone warmed up. I was not quite sure what to expect. But it was quite good! I was wishing for some butter to go with it - but I came to appreciate the scone the way it was - and it was a healthier food without the butter. It was crispy on the outside - but inside it had a consistency that was more a combination of cornbread and biscuit - than the more crumbly nature of many scones I have known. This Sbux is in a fairly new little shopping center off of Route 29 - the name of the complex is "Lee Plaza." No outdoor seating at this Sbux, but plenty of seating inside, and a T-mobile wireless internet connection. A couple of folks were hanging out with their laptops surfing and working away. read more

Been here a few times and it seems to be fairly inconsistent. Today it took 20 minutes for my mobile order. My Frap was ready but sat on the counter for 10 minutes melting into puddle while waiting for my 2nd drink to be ready. After seeing walk-in orders leaving before me, I asked about my second drink which was finally made. My matcha was made as requested but there was all this extra foam on top so not a full cup. $6 for foam???? Maybe I need to request, "hold the foam" next time. To be fair, they did make me a new frap but only because I told them how unhappy I was. It's best to avoid this place on the weekends--when it's busy the quality goes down. Come on Starbucks, staff more employees. At $6 a drink surely you can afford to increase your daily head count. Maybe train your employees to complete a order with multiple drinks so customers don't have to wait and your store wouldn't be so crowded. read more

Ahhh Star Bucks. The women in green with the lovely smile smile. The food the melts in your mouth and not in your hands. The people that come from miles around to drink that liquid... Hell, who am I kidding. I don't like coffee and the food wasn't on my mind. The bathrooms were. The bathrooms are unisex and the were clean and fresh smelling when I was there. The store looked nice, but it is not where I would hang out. The coffee smell would be too much for me, but the staff did have warm and welcoming smile on their faces for each coffee consumer that came in. This morning I ran into a real pickle when I was hosting a morning meeting and my local Panera completely botched my coffee order and my need for traveling coffee containers. My husband called a few local Starbucks and this specific location was the only one that answered. We were greeted by a gregarious, Neil, on the other end of the phone. He jumped into high gear understanding our need for traveler coffee and that we needed them STAT. He was lovely over the phone and even more lovely and reassuring in person. He got us what we needed in no time at all and had the best attitude about the entire situation. Came in here wanting literally coffee on ice with cream and sugar and was basically laughed at by the cashier (the barista who started taking my order was very nice though, and didn't make me feel like an a** about what I wanted). The set up of this location is odd. Narrow and bowling area -ish. Loooong counter. I didn't even see the cashier at first. Looks bigger from the outside. But that's fine. This Starbucks is my go-to option. Parking lot is a bit narrow but apart from that, you get what you expect from a typical Starbucks. Staff team seems to be kind. Twice I was disappointed and stopped at anothother Sbux down the streat for redemption. Again NO sugar in the raw. NO simple syrup. And they burned their drip coffee. The wonderful Baristas down the street at the new drive-thru Sbux (in front of Honey Baked Ham, x the street from Dunkin Donuts) are going to be working in this location next week to try and bring it up to snuff. At the Starbucks it seems like there is no type of consistency with either calling names or just the order by its name. Also the attitudes of the barista's and cashier need to be checked towards the customers because they are very rude and not friendly at all. If you don't like the job YOU signed up for, then I suggest finding a job that makes you happy...don't take it out on the customers. read more

Don't know what the deal is with all the bad reviews for this location. I've never had bad service here. Then again, I don't expect people at Starbucks to be happy to wait on me. Just sayin'. I noticed Amanda E.'s review and thought I should update mine. Things at this location have gone downhill since a year ago. The majority of the staff is not nearly as good as it used to be. A lot of them tend to be negative and moody (in other words not happy to help), or uber happy to an almost scary level. Overall, this location has gone downhill. I am almost positive that there is a new store manager, and a lot of the original baristas are gone. I still stop in because it is closest to home, but now prefer the location over in East Market by Kohl's. read more

Although I only come here in the mornings, the service is usually pretty good, the line moves thru, and they try to be as organized as they can. They usually get my order right, and the wait isnt very long. However, if you come here its very apparent there are two different work crews and bless your soul if you happen to get the B team... prepare to wait. Like 30minutes for a drink. Completely absurd. But I do give them slack because the orders do get absurdly long and one person can order 5drinks at a time. But I will say the staff is nice, they really do try. read more

Maybe I would expect a shop in DC to look trashed after a busy day, but a Starbucks in the suburbs on a Sunday afternoon shouldn't be so unkept. The bathrooms were a wreck, the tables were dirty and the AC didn't work. Worst of all was that the Wi-Fi didn't work and there was no sign or notice posted within the building. My beverage is usually black coffee- pike place or an occasional americano. Consistently good here but what impressed me is the tall guy with glasses in the morning. He IS the perfect caffeine peddler. He verbally greets you when you walk in, he asks how you are and using their app technology which displays you name, he thanks you by your name and wishes you a good day. There is also another man that works some mornings who is friendly and remembers my drink. I have only been here for a couple times, since I just moved into the area not long ago. Totally satisfied with my visits so far. There is this young man, Joshua, who is one of the most hard working person I've seen. Very friendly, efficient working, and helpful with everything. I have worked in a coffee shop before, and I know how hard it is to keep the spirit up all day long; but that's exactly what he does. Would love to come back just for him.
