It had the same off flavor that you find in commercial or grocery store bakery cupcakes. The cake itself was fine, but the frosting was not good. I also had a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and the essentially had the same flavor. If the recipe hasn't changed since last year, maybe I was just hungry last year and didn't note the off flavor because this year's experience was not great for me.

The hot lattes don't even have latte art and that's expected if it's going to be an overpriced coffee shop. I should have known it was a red flag when she didn't ask me about any milk options. My boyfriend ordered a pineapple smoothie and that was good. The only saving grace to us giving this 2 stars. The cafe is outdated and needs to be updated if the coffee is going to be terrible.
