Starbucks is a place I go for a latte, and cake pop and not much more. The food and drinks are quite good, but pricey which I dislike, since I prefer good quality, which it is with cheap prices, which it isn't. The service is not fast, but not slow, just a middle speed for service. The ambiance is okay, not my favorite I normally just get my stuff then leave. I would probably suggest it if someone's visiting, but these are all over earth, and there all over America, so they've probably had it. read more

Today I just so happen to want a drink at 8 PM so I order my typical drink, white mocha breve extra whip no ice, I don't get ice because it makes it too cold for my liking and I put extra whip because if I leave it with the normal amount (that automatically comes on the drink) majority of the time I would get a drink with no whip at all. When they handed me the cup this evening it was basically half latte half whipped cream....excuse me....Never have I ever ordered and received such a pathetic drink. With Starbucks charging for every modification you make the least they could've done was fill the extra space from there being no ice with half and half. From the drive thru, it's a pretry good in/out and the baristas are often cool. But they really lost points with me today when I stopped inside for a simple light roast pour over. Probably not so "simple" at your average mom & pop, but Starbucks claims to be a leader in coffee, even if we all know the truth. It's Starbucks. Simple and plain. Quick bites, drinks, and when the lobby is not crowded, it's great. This location is in the heart of a growing town, so the influx of folks creates incessant traffic, long lines, and a lot of pressure on those employees. They are very professional and courteous, but they are often very focused because it's a busy location. At times I feel for them, because some people don't have the patience to wait. Not understanding that these folks are working hard. The vibes are often pretty good if they have enough support for business. However: I know how hectic things have been since Covid and several entities do not supply stores with proper staffing and supplies. All in all: it's Starbucks. The parking for this location is the worst and the drive-thur line is always wrapped around the building during peak times. I usually order online for pickup, and it was very efficient but has gone down hill unfortunately. The staff does seem nice but you will stand there for a bit until you're helped; not sure if it's understaffing issues... The stores appearance on the outside is nice but the inside looks ran through and trash littered everywhere on the coffee counter where you get your napkins, coffee stir etc. Again these are things I've noticed over a period of time going into the store. Lastly they do charge extra for modifications which is perfectly fine, and every Starbucks does HOWEVER my last 4 coffee orders (different trips to the store) has been made completely wrong. All the modifications I've made to my order through the app and paid for, would be left off completely. Each time they do apologize and fix what's been left off which is all good! When I moved to FV back in 2006, I had to drive to Cary to get my daily fix. When Starbucks finally came to Fuquay, I was embarrassingly excited. I was there a lot. I still am. When I was checking hours today I saw all of these awful reviews and was a little befuddled. I'm not sure if the poor reviews were from people having extra crappy days or what the circumstances were, but I can ASSURE you that the WORST Starbucks location is the one at 55/54 at the I-40 exchange. Like at any coffee shop, there's always going to be turnover. When the new staff come in they need some time to learn how things work. This location has some long-time vets working that will fix errors quickly. Everyone is friendly and they go out of their way to learn names and faces of regulars. If your drink is wrong, just tell them. They'll fix it. You don't have to be a jerk about it. It's the only Starbucks in town, there will be a line at prime times, plan your trip accordingly. Also, being a gold card member doesn't give you special priority - so I'm not really sure when mentioning that in your review is relevant to the store. Grow up and enjoy your overpriced coffee. Well after being a gold card member for 4 years this was the absolute 1st time I had ever heard this. If this is the rule then I am all for it. What I am not all for is Inconsistency. I get there and I'm waiting inside for them to call my name. 10 minutes go by and I ask the barista, one ignored me all together and ask another to come to the front and help. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AT A STARBUCKS. I went through the drive through and was treated terribly. When I got to the speaker to place my order, the woman taking my order was rude and condescending. She asked if I needed to place an order. Confused, I answered yes. I'm in the drive through. Of course I want to place an order. She asked if I just drove by someone in an apron standing outside taking orders. I told her no. She rudely and condescendingly replied "well I'm looking at her on my camera right now, but WHATEVER." I am a safety professional. I notice if I just drive by someone standing in the drive through. I am not an oblivious fool. I do not appreciate some person working at a drive through acting like she's smarter and better than me and that I'm a moron. When I got to the window I told her I didn't appreciate the attitude she gave me. To this she replied "I'm sorry you feel that way." This is not an apology. I told her as much, said I would never be back, and drove off. This is NOT how ANY customer service establishment should be treating their clients. I will gladly take my money and spend it at a place where I am treated respectfully. What's even more appalling is that this woman is apparently a manager at this store. She had short curly dark hair and multiple nose piercings. She is a terrible employee, terrible manager, and an embarrassment to Starbucks. Meh. This is the only Starbucks in Fuquay. So it gets 2 stars for existing. Outside of that, I've never had a good experience here. It's mediocre at best, no one listens when you place your order, I've gotten dairy drinks when I've paid for soy, and the drinks take forever. I continue to patronize this Starbucks because of the rewards system, ease of using the app, and consistent menu of drinks, but if you have time to hit up a regular coffee shop in Fuquay I recommend that for your coffee going experience over this Starbucks. I've been a Gold Card holder as long as I can remember and frequent Starbucks more than I'd care to admit. The quality is going downhill and the experience is going downhill. They know most of the people that come in and I notice they know many of regular's drinks (like us). My husband hated coffee before this particular Starbucks. I quite enjoy the baked goods from Starbucks but it seems half the time when I order an iced black tea lemonade they get part of it wrong, such as not putting any lemonade in it. If there was one in Holly Springs I would not drive out of my way to FV, but since a regular Holly Springs Starbucks location doesn't exist, FV gets my business. 11.4.18 was a crazy busy sunday morning at starbucks. I don't have anything negative to say at all about my experience and typically when it's busy and crowded it's a little aggravating for everyone. I had the BEST experience here starting with ordering my drink with the cashier helping me choose a custom made coffee and receiving a complimentary lemon pound cake (made my day) then waiting for my drink to be made, watching the baristas work their butts off with a huge smile on their faces.
