Never have a problem when I pre-order using the app. I place my order 5 minutes out and it's ready when I arrive. This location has lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Seems to be a popular place for college students grinding out some homework. Music is streaming but not too loud. Baristas make an effort to greet each customer upon arrival. Love the brownies or a chocolate chip cookie that's been warmed in the oven. read more

I've been to this Starbucks for some time since it's been open. It is very spacious and clean. Love the Drive-through option. Came at 9:58pm didn't know what I wanted to drink. I gave her options of what I like and dislike, and the barista actually did a great job and I ended up loving the drink. For sure will be coming back. read more

This is one of the closest Starbucks to my home and the neighborhood. It's basically the same as many of Starbucks as far as displays food items, coffee brands and accessories, mugs, etc., There are only two large work tables with outlets, which most patrons gravitate towards those tables. Mini counter seating, bit outlets. There's also their drive thru, which moves rather quickly and saves time going inside. There is sufficient outdoor seating to spend more time outside with your friends and pets while enjoying your hot/cold coffees, cold bews, and specialty beverages. read more

One of the few SB in the area that is pretty decent in all aspects. This location has a drive thru that's effective in getting you in and out. Nice staff inside or at the drive thru. Most are hip in making the latest drink trending on TIKTOK. Lots of space inside to do work, or have a coffee meet up with friends or colleagues. I suggest ordering thru the app, its more efficient unless you have a complicated order. read more

I don't usually rate Starbucks but this one is extra nice! I went in after a run and the barista was so kind and offered water. It's a small detail but really made an impression. The Starbucks itself is clean and well organized. The team behind the bar quickly and efficiently handles orders and are always very nice. I feel obligated to leave an updated review a little over a year since this location has opened; I'm not sure why it's so poorly rated. I come to this location regularly and it's consistent in its service and item availability. This location was no more greatly affected by staff or supply shortages than any others I go to frequently in the area (including Quince Orchard, Downtown Crown, and Grammercy Blvd). Staff is always friendly at this location. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and has a nice sized lobby and patio. Drive thru service is good! I'm not sure what other drive thru Starbucks people have been to that they think is faster? The Quince Orchard d.t. usually takes longer. The Urbana d.t. service takes a similar amount of time. The Frederick and Westminster d.t.s also take around the same time. The Columbia and Burtonsville d.t.s too. Falls Church might be the only d.t. that's faster than this one on a regular basis. Let me just put it out there, I go to Starbucks more than I probably should (I used to do a Rockville to Baltimore commute and used Odenton and Glen Burnie locations also) and it's almost always via drive thru. I haven't tried the Damascus or Mt. Airy d.t.s yet, but I think I made my point that if you are coming to Kentlands you are not likely comparing it to these to the other locations listed (except Quince Orchard) are you? Anyway, the design wasn't thought out well, the curb at the window makes puling up and reaching a big pain, yes, no doubt about that. Dumb. This is a good location for Starbucks and the hours are good too. We stopped by on a recent weekend morning to get some coffee and breakfast. They have a drive-thru that was easy to get to, but we decided to step in the store since we were undecided on the food items.The store is nice and clean and the line moved quick enough for us to place our order in short order. The drink and food items were ready soon enough as we were on our way! Friendly staff and the drink was made well. Food was warm and tasted good too. Solid location! The staff are really friendly and seem to work well together and efficiently. Drinks are standard (which sometimes is not the case at certain locations!) and they toast/warm pastries and sandwiches well (again, some locations things are a bit crisp or not warm enough). Clean and well-kept. Open layout with plenty of seating. Great atmosphere to have chats over coffee and/or get work done. Also, plenty of sunlight comes in--a definite plus in my book! read more

Drinks come out delicious, but the location is fairly busy and chaotic. They have a ton of retail here if you are into collecting Starbucks cups. Their outdoor patio seems like a cozy spot to hang out with your drink and a book. read more

I was honestly shocked when I got to this Yelp page and saw such a low average review rating for this particular Starbucks. This is one of the best Starbucks I've ever been too, and trust me, I've been to A LOT of Starbucks. I do love me a local coffee chain yes, but I know exactly what I'm getting at Starbucks and I love that security and I honestly love the product. My order: Unsweetened grande iced coffee in a venti cup with extra ice and a splash of cream. I add in my own Sweet and Low cause Starbucks uses gross pink equal now-a-days which is on a different planet than Sweet and Low. Particularly a planet that is not habitable by human life. Anyways, every single time I've gone to this Starbucks, whether it's the drive through or the indoors, the workers have been exceedingly friendly and my order is always correct. This is also almost a brand new Starbucks. It has a drive-through and the store itself is the new Starbucks design which is brighter, filled with light wood, and a general brighter overall feel. I love the new design honestly. The old dark brown leather filled cave Starbucks are just not my jam. But ya know... to each their own. The employees are basically on Disney level friendly. The store design is beautiful. It's open late. In fact, I'm sitting in the cafe as I write this review right now at 9:39pm and they still have about 50 minutes till closing on a Monday. Literally the ONLY fault I can find in this Starbucks is that the drive-through window is placed way too far away from the customer when you're going through it. And really it's most arduous for the employees, I feel bad that the Starbucks employee really has to bend over and extend themselves to hand over drinks to the people in the drive-through. I urge you Starbucks employees, document your lower back pain problems now. That sounds like a joke, but it's not really. Starbucks needs to fix this - like seriously, I can't imagine bending and extending myself that far all day. Even if you are young, it's gonna come back to bite you. I don't what they were thinking with the design of that, but the curb definitely needs to be reworked a little to get closer to the window. In ADDITION to all of the wonderful things I've listed above, the outdoor patio has a ton of seating, it wraps around the side of the building. The drive through is long enough where even when it's full you're not usually protruding into the parking lot. I know that this sounds like the most insignificant thing, but if you go to the drive through that's on the corner of Clopper and Quince Orchard, you literally might be in the Starbucks drive-through line and be on Clopper. That line gets long, and there's nowhere for it to go. Even if the line of cars is super long here, you're protruding into a portion of the parking lot that isn't busy or used - it's the far end of the Lowes portion. Also, it seems that they have just gotten two large communal tables indoors now, I'm sitting at one of them. The one I'm sitting at has a large purse hook built into the underside of the end of the table, and as a purse carrying member of society #PursedAndProud, I really appreciate that. So there ya go, think someone couldn't be so incongruently opinionated about an individual Starbucks amongst the hundreds of Starbucks that person has been to lol - wrong. This is definitely one of my favorites, if not my pinnacle Starbucks. Happy to give it 5 stars. AND I'll just mention that it's common for me to drive through with French Toast in the back on our way back from the park, and the drive through Starbucks employee usually offers a pup cup to French Toast which she ABSOLUTELY loves. So when French Toast is old enough to get a Yelp account, I'm sure she would give it 5 stars too. read more

Extremely slow service. I have given this location multiple chances. I have ordered in the lobby, in the drive-thru, and pre-ordered through the app. Each time, I have waited a long time for my order. You think the drive-thru would be faster but you'll wait about the same amount of time, which is why it's always backed up. I tried ordering drinks inside today as the drive-thru was wrapped around the building. Only two customers were waiting for drinks inside so I thought it may go a little quicker. I placed my order then waited. A few more customers trickled in and placed their order. Behind the counter was about six employees all running around doing things. Some were stocking, one was just standing waiting to hand drinks out the drive-thru window, and one was on his phone walking back and forth. Only one employee was actually making a drink. No wonder why everything is so slow. The two customers behind me started talking about how slow this place always is. Then one of the customers, who had placed their order several minutes after I ordered my drink, received theirs before mine. So not only were they slow, but they were not making drinks in order. I hope this place improves in both speed and accuracy (see some of the other reviews). I want to come back but it's hard to justify spending 1/4 of an hour waiting for one or two drinks when other places are much quicker. read more

I stopped going to Starbucks back in 2020 because they didn't allow their employees to wear a BLM facemask. I should have stuck with that boycott. You can place a pick up order in the app, but they don't want you that the store lobby is closed and you can't pick up your drink inside. We walked up to the front doors and they are locked. They have a sign on the front door stating that you can only pick up your mobile order in the drive-through. When The lady finally had the food she just said the name and threw it on the counter. No "sorry for the wait." I go out of my way to go to this drive-through Starbucks because I have two kids under two, it's a lot to unload them from car, load in stroller, then load them back in the car. Starbucks has some of the best coffee, but the locations seem to vary wildly with respect to quality service. The employees here are pretty friendly. However, at least at the drive-thru, they don't appear to pay attention to detail. In the last week we've been there everyday. Out of the 16 cups of coffee we've ordered (the empties were in the recycling bin at home) we had 13 deformed / crushed cups. Every time we've brought it uo to the team at this location, they've had to give us another cup, and they continue to do crush the cups or give us deformed cups. (Deformed cups have the lids pop off scorching you with coffee, spilling it all over the car , spilling all over you... etc.) That's in addition to making the ordered wrong at least once a week. Oddly, it seems to happen when they are not actually busy! read more

I don't know how you make a drink wrong when a teabag and hot water are the only ingredients but mine was made with some sugary flavor liquid that tasted like peaches. There is SO much litter on the lawn & grounds outside and no trash receptacles! To be fair, most of the litter (but not all) was from Chic fil a and other nearby eateries. The trash even spills over to the top of the Lowes' parking lot. Put up trash bins, please! And have someone do litter patrol every hour or so. read more
