If I could do zero stars this place would get zero stars. I come to this place all the time or at least I used to. It has a beautiful view of the pond. I went and got my Playa bowls and then sat down and was gonna go inside and get something to drink, but someone came up to me and said we can't sit there because we have our bowls. I said OK we'll go inside and purchase something and then he said no you can't sit here at all outside food or drinks, which is crazy because it's outside in the public but regardless, I said OK well I can go inside and purchase something first then before I sit down he's like no so what do you think you can buy an espresso shot and just know so if you guys want to go to a place of business, that is actually respectful, don't go here because they're disrespectful rude and he also didn't tell me his name but whoever the old guy is with the eyepatch with shaggy hair. I totally understand that rules are rules. However, there's a total respectful way that people can talk to customers. There's a total appropriate way to address signage. I didn't notice any signage and I would've been more than happy to have either gotten permission to eat on the patio if I would've known those were rules or purchased anything I needed to. I love coffee rush. It's been a staple in my life for over 20 years. The service is always friendly, the place is always clean, and the drinks are perfection. There is usually a line when you walk into this location, but once you take a look at their prices and realize you're getting amazing coffee for very little cost, the line makes sense. The staff are chatty and friendly, and they make your drink pretty much as you order it in front of you. My regular is the white Irish with caramel drizzle, along with an Italian soda (I mix up the flavors). Including tip, for two 32 oz drinks, I walk away under $12 - that's really difficult to beat. This location has a lovely, sprawling patio with a lake view. It's easy to spend hours here with friends - it's comfortable, welcoming, and their music is always bangin. read more

I don't make the time to come here as often as I'd like. All of the staff that work here great! The baristas are very knowledgeable and they can offer you great recommendations if you're unsure of what to get. The coffee here is always strong and delicious. They offer muffins and baklava as well as coffee and tea, which are delicious. Don't forget to download the digital stamp card they offer so that you can earn your coffee rewards. This coffee shop has a gorgeous view of the lake and I occasionally sit out there to enjoy the view. I was visiting the Phoenix area this past weekend and had a gap of time before an appointment in this area, so I decided to stop in for an afternoon pick me up. The coffee shop is spacious and relatively quiet, at least during my visit, so it would be a good spot to work remotely or read. There was one person in front of me, but for only having one barista the wait was not too long. I had read a couple reviews on their dirty chai, so while I'm a bit leery of new places for chai, I took the gamble. The barista was friendly enough and quickly made my drink. Unfortunately I could not taste the chai at all, I mean not even a little bit. The one shot of espresso completely overpowered any spice from the chai, which is a new one for me. Usually it's the chai having an off, chemical taste when it's a concentrate, but I've never not been able to taste it before. I can't vouch for any of the other drinks and it was busy as I was leaving, but I wouldn't personally return if in the area again. read more

The fact that this establishment has anything below 4 stars is criminal. I love this place!!! It's in walking distance from my house so I am lucky to be able to go often. The staff is all really friendly, they will greet you as if they've known you for years. I always feel so welcome and warm here. Not to mention they have some incredible coffee and an even more incredible view. Waterfront with a fountain in beautiful AZ weather?! Sign me up! We chose this spot to meet up for coffee with dogs due to the nice outdoor space. The patio on the side faces the water. It's full sun early on but they have shades and misters, and as the sun progresses, it goes into full shade. With both of us having a dog, there's always a bit of juggling to get drinks inside. My friend went in while I held both dogs and then came back out as she'd noticed there's an app. We pulled up the app, which then told us the store wasn't accepting online orders. Ha. Back in line it is. I can't do caffeine, so as much as I love the taste of coffee, I'm always getting whatever the decaf is. I got an iced decaf with a splash of almond milk, and my friend got a sugar-free caramel latte. She said there were a lot of sugar-free syrup options. Dear Owner of Coffee Rush, I am writing to let you know why I will never give you my business again. At your Ray road location, there is a server not serving you well...I don't know his name... I can describe him as maybe around 30-35 with very little hair on his head and a beard... and he is very rude. The first time he was rude and demeaning, I gave him grace and figured he was having a bad day.. like most of us do occasionally. The second time, weeks later, he started to lecture and embarrass me in front of other staff and customers about mispronouncing Tanzania Peaberry and that I should know about the country Tanzania where the beans came from. I came into this coffee shop because I saw online that the vibe was nice and I wanted to try something different. I already had a coffee with me, but I planned to purchase something for breakfast. When I walked in, the gentleman behind the counter (Nathan) asked what he could make. I said it was my first time there and looked over the menu, then set a muffin on the counter. At that point, Nathan, asked what I was having to drink, and if I was staying. When I said I had some coffee with me but yes, he told me "not sure if you saw all the signs" but l outside drinks weren't allowed and that I had to buy a drink in order to stay and sit down. Upon a second look, I did see that there are signs posted everywhere about no outside drinks. I fully acknowledge that, that was my mistake. The issue isn't the policy. The issue is how Nathan handled it afterwards. Instead of welcoming me as a first-time customer at 7 a.m. and simply saying, "We're glad you're here, just so you know for next time, we ask that you order a drink if you plan to stay," he chose a condescending, dismissive approach. I told him well I'm still making a purchase and giving you my business with the muffin? His exact response was: "Well, we're a coffee shop. We sell coffee, It's like, you wouldn't bring a steak into a steakhouse and just order mashed potatoes, would you? That's kinda stupid, isn't it?" His tone, facial expressions, and attitude made it clear he wasn't interested in having me there and made me feel talked down to, as if I was uneducated for missing the signs. I even went back in afterward to ask his name. He said, "Oh, I'm Nathan." I said, "Thank you." And his response? "Ya, good luck." He was rude as hell. Again this wasn't about the drink it was about his demeanor, his attitude, and his complete lack of hospitality. Why would anybody want to come into this coffee shop and spend money when the people working behind the counter treat customers like that? Find another coffee shop. They ended up making me a Tiramisu latte (has white chocolate, cinnamon, and tiramisu). I ended up walking along the water with it which was nice. This dump is a correctional facility disguised as a coffee shop. Like many other one star reviews have said before me; terrible customer service, unwelcoming environment. They have rules plastered everywhere, from seating to drinks to WiFi. I simply wanted to sit a bit and enjoy a coffee, and the place was dead inside, so I I sat at the nearest table happy to just relax. Minutes later I was approached by the table police that I had to move because it was only for "two people". I was floored; the shop wasn't even busy; I would have been on my way after just a few minutes anyway or kindly given my spot if asked. If that wasn't enough; the shop is void of sanitation - the ceiling and lights are covered in cob webs and dirt and grime. It actually looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a decade. The vinyl seats are weathered and broken and the paint is peeling off the walls. I wouldn't be surprised if this compost factory is breaking health codes. I will not be returning and I will advise everyone that asks to steer away. Whoever the owner is, you are representing Chandler terribly and your behavior is doing our community a disservice. I sadly have to change my review from a raving 5 stars review to a lousy , what happened to you review. Did ownership change or something? This experience made me never want to return and I grew up on this place. What is with the no outside drinks on the table when the customer has already purchased drinks from the establishment, also the place was pretty empty and as we were getting ready to walk over to place our drink orders LITERALLY talking about it the barista comes up to us stating we need to order drinks to sit down, I get first come first serve when it's busy but the place was 1/3 full inside and no line. The baristas lacked situational awareness. I hadn't seen my friend in over a year and their priority was the speed to order our drinks. That's rather rude. Then when it came to my drink they put an extra charge on it because I asked for light ice...um okay you've been making my drink like that for over 15 years like why all of a sudden there are issues. The baristas blamed everything on the owner and said pictures are taken and sent to him. It's sad what this place has become. I raved about this place and recommended for years, this was such a poor experience that the group I brought with me never wants to come back and frankly neither do I. read more

I went to Coffee Rush with my mom and her friend, expecting a nice, relaxing time. Instead, we were rudely kicked out just for having outside food from next door and a drink--even though we were paying customers! Meanwhile, they had no problem letting people smoke right there and providing ash trays, which was not only disgusting but completely ruined the atmosphere. The waiter could have simply asked us nicely or at least let us stay and informed us for next time, but instead, he was extremely rude and hurtful. The way we were treated was unacceptable. I will NEVER be a paying costumer to this establishment ever again. The hypocrisy is unreal. They claim to have rules, but apparently, they only apply to certain people. If you want to support a business that treats customers unfairly, this is the place for you. Popped into Coffee Rush for the first time in a very long time and as usual, it did not disappoint! I went with an almond roca oat milk latte and it wasn't my favorite flavor, but the coffee was good and perfectly strong. My aunt ordered a tiramisu iced coffee which was suuuuuper delicious! The line can get long but the service is quick and soooo friendly. There's a classic coffee shop vibe, good music, fresh roasted coffee smell, lots of tables for studying or catching up.
