7/3/2025, young white blonde Caucasian boy at the window at approximately 7:10pm-7:20pm decided it would be a good idea to talk back to a paying customer. Tried to order a caramel Frappuccino with 2 shots of espresso, a drink I've ordered many times and never faced any issues; this young man thought it would be ok to be a smart mouth and tell me that my drink will be very watery. Who does this? Just make the drink? I've never had anyone talk back to me about a drink that is customizable. He was a young man who looked miserable working his job. He should maybe not be in customer service if he's going to deny people and tell them their drink will be poor quality because they customized it. Something that Starbucks promotes. He was very young and looked inexperienced. His manager has been notified and I've also filed a formal complaint to corporate. This is my 3rd complaint at this specific Starbucks as I've seen on my google reviews. I will not longer frequent this location and will take my business to Dunkin across the street or the Grayslake Starbucks. read more

The service here is terrible. If I could give a negative star I would. I ordered the strawberry again. I asked for extra base. They person taking my order didn't put it up on the screen to review so I assumed he understood my order. He didn't put in the extra base. When I said that it looked too light and needed extra base he told me I should have told him. I replied I did. While taking my payment, they pretended to add extra base and handed it back to me. It was the same. I pulled into a spot and went in. The acting manager, as HD called himself, said that the formula was different and he already made the drink for Mr 3 times. I replied no that he didn't. Then he said he would not remake it. He took it back and tossed it. I asked for a refund and he ticketed on that as well. I will never go here again. I regrettably did not get the name of the person handling the drive thru on the day I went, but what a fantastic person! hey eveyone! I just went to this location about 20 minutes to an hour ago and very poor customer service, I ordered a small green tea mocha frappe and a chocolate cake pop. I didn't tell them that I was using apple pay. I put my phone on the card reader and he said the cashier/barista (short bearded rat) said to me "we don't mind read people's mind, you have to tell us that your using apple pay" to me that is VERY poor customer service, you should not talk to a 13 year old child like that, so the guy bullied me into giving him a tip even though he didn't deserve it. we always go to that starbucks but we go in the drive thru. the one time I go in they talk to me like that. the ambiance of him was very rude the attitude and the talk. overall the atmosphere of the place was very fine. the food was dry. but the drink was fine. read more

This is a quaint Starbucks in the neighborhood. It's a little quieter than many, it doesn't get the same level of traffic as some others. Sitting down and relaxing is great. Not too busy or noisy. In the summer you can sit outside and enjoy. The drive thru is typically quick these days. They are always polite. They share the Walgreen's parking lot which makes it convenient when you have to pick up a quick item as well. One other note: I typically don't stop here during morning rush hour. That might be why drive thru experience is faster than others. read more

Of all the Lake County Starbucks, I would say that this is my favorite! Every time I come here, it's never busy and I usually get my order and get my drink within 5 minutes. My favorite barista, Henis (Jair), always makes my drink to its perfection. I also love the fact that he would make me some of his customized drinks and they always turn out great! I almost always use the pre-order in app option since my drinks take forever to create in the afternoon(blonde roast-pour overs). If on the off chance I go through the drive thru, the staff is always pleasant and now know my order. I absolutely adore Nic and Eric (infinity). They make your experience and wait time fun! The drinks are delicious and I feel that the staff here puts in the extra time to make them correctly. I really don't get anything from the bakery since they went corporate. Customer Service here is far above expected, their drive through staff in the morning is always upbeat and friendly! They make a great experience when stopping in for your morning coffee. However, the drive through is horrible!! They need some type of control on the traffic for the drive through as there is cars coming from all directions. This starbucks almost always gets my boyfriend's order wrong, which never made me need to read a review. But today a woman was talking to someone else outside when she saw my friend and I walking towards the door. She then proceeded to run in front of us to get in before us, then NEVER PUT ON A MASK. She was greeted by the starbucks employees and presumably went to the back, meaning she is a partner. Making my orders wrong time and time again is an inconvenience but not the end of the world... deciding to not wear a mask is blatantly disrespectful, unsanitary, and unacceptable during a pandemic. read more

I am being kind by giving them two stars as my husband continues to have a different experience with them then I do. I have been here more than a dozen times, always in the drive thru, and every single time, they have managed to get my order wrong. Whether it's my drink order, (I always change it and tip so they can't complain,) or handing me the wrong flavor cake pop for my son, wrong is wrong. And, frustrating. Plus, I would agree with the other patron, the drive thru is supposed to be fast, this one is NOT. They move at turtle speed. Now, my husband, who frequents this location more often than I do, will tell you something completely different. They even greet him familiarly. On, the occasional times he's ordered for me, he has been sure to come home and tell me they made a joke with him around my order. Who cares how I like my coffee? I'm paying five bucks plus tipping you for it, so get over it. And, it's not like I am adding anything to it, mostly I'm taking it away and making the drink healthier, non fat, no whipped cream, no toppings, 1 pump instead of 4.... I drink Starbuck's daily, I couldn't do that if I drank all the extra sugar they put into it. Their comments are unnecessary. Oh, and to top it off, their banana bread is often dry and hard. "If you've been to one Starbucks, you've been to them all" -- NOT! While I have visited many Starbucks locations over the past 5 years, none of them compared to the Hainesville store! This place is exceptional! First off, the place is always clean and organized when I walk in. The tables, chairs and floors are neatly kept. And their restrooms seem to ALWAYS be clean whenever I use them! The store has a warm and inviting ambience that just feels like home. The baristas take the time to know me by name and greet me every time I walk in. They know what I drink and can even come up with suggestions based on what I've ordered in the past. I can get the same drink at a dozen other locations, but when I'm at the Hainesville store..it just tastes better! read more

I have never had a good experience at this Starbucks. They have the slowest drive through I have ever experienced. If you're smart, you'll go in the building, and cut in front of the whole line. My guess is everyone knows this trick at this location, and that only adds to the problem in the drive through! I typically will go out of my way to visit another location, which adds time to my commute, but probably not as much time as waiting in line at this Starbucks. Plus they don't deserve my business if they aren't doing a good job. Today I forgot to detour to another location, so I decided to just go for it and give them a chance and they failed miserably. I started in the drive through line, gave up and went in. I ordered my drink and they made an entirely different drink. So they had to remake it and the second time they made it, they didn't do the extra syrup pumps that I had ordered and didn't fill the cup with milk...it was like 2/3s full and they just topped it off with a ton of whipped cream. They also served my banana nut bread cold, which every other location either serves it warmed or asks if you want it warmed. I didn't even think to ask. Also I always ask for my drink stirred, and always watch them put the lid on the drink without stirring. Why put it on the ticket if you're not going to do it. After today, I will not ever return to this location. Ever. If I miss my detour, I will skip it altogether or go to another coffee shop. read more
