Worst Starbucks experience (customer and quality) of my life. I'm the biggest fan and service is usually okay or exceptional but I ordered a wrap. Saw that it wasn't being prepared. Asked them about it and they said it was coming (clearly wasn't but that was my hint to say please remember my wrap) nobody does anything until I asked a second time. This was 10 other customers later. Also, quality of my caramel macchiato was different. Didn't taste like all the other ones and the first time I've tasted such a dramatic difference. read more

Who on earth charges MORE for one shot LESS of espresso?! I just got robbed for $6.15 for a white chocolate mocha (minus a shot) made with coconut milk. RIDICULOUS! After 3 years of $15.00 spent a day and $2.00 to $3.00 tip each time, will not go here again! been having the same routine for 3 years since I came here, Met really awesome employees here that I know by name and see come and go transferred to other locations which I do see them from time to time! please note I will not come here anymore and will go elsewhere! NEVER saw this guy before but dude as I mentioned I start my smoke as I leave my home and the timing is spot on each day and all the time, as I pull up to your drive thru WHICH IS ALLLLLLLLL THE WAY AROUND THE CORNER FROM ANY WINDOW OR EMPLOYEE, my smoke is out by the time I get to ordering! as I am pulling it out of my mouth to toss in my trash, the rude guy blasts me out in the drive thru about Not smoking in their drive thru! WELL FIRST THANKS FOR EMBARRASSING ME! SECOND, NO SIGN THAT SAYS NO SMOKING NEAR THE ORDERING AREA WHICH IS A SPEAKER ONLY NO EMPLOYEE AT ALL NEAR THE SPEAKER! A typical Starbucks in what is quite possibly the worst designed location ever. As mentioned previously, if you park, you may end up getting trapped in your spot during peak times by the drive through line. Staff is friendly and this location is open till 10:00 if you need to get your caffeine on later in the evening. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this Starbucks. It's the closest store to my house, has a large nice seating area, a good neighborhood "feel" and a pleasant, good staff. But the parking lot is dangerous due to poor design and the drive-thru complicates this. My car was hit in a seemingly safe parking spot right in front of the store - I've observed other cars being dented due to the cramped parking spaces and confusing traffic flow. This design flaw is really the fault of the City of Happy Valley Planning Commission (who approved the design), not Starbucks, but be forewarned if you visit at peak times. read more

On more than one occasion the drive thru experience was awful. I usually walk in because the turn around is so hard to make when this location is busy. There are 2 Starbucks within a mile from this one, so I will just stick to those. The employees at those locations are great and show appreciation for their customers! About a week or so ago I went through the drive thru and had to listen to some gal go on and on about letting a roommate borrow money that he probably spent on booze, not what I needed to hear about at 6:00 am. No..."How's your morning going, or we'll have your drink ready in just a few seconds, etc." The lady was the same person as yesterday (Liz) and a young blonde. Yesterday I tried to walk down from my house, about 2 miles (and not an easy walk) with my dog. As I approached the front of the store to grab a table, tie him up, and quickly run in a roadblock occured. There are only a few tables at this location and the were occupied. One of the tables had a dog and it was unfriendly both to my dog and a small child. For the safety of everyone I ventured over to the side of the bulding adjacent to the drive thru to seek a different spot to tie up. Unfortuantely its still new construction and nowhere to go. Let me preference the next happenings by saying I was directly in the spectrum of the drive thru cameras while trying to find a spot for the dog and attempting to struggle. I thought...since there was no one in the drive thru maybe I could just order quickly and avoid any type of scene with the other dog and families sitting out front. Out of the loud speaker comes "get out of our drive thru, you and your dog are a safety hazard." I can completely understand that and moved, and I wasembarrassed by this blaring out the loud speaker and not in a nice tone. Giving up on options I proceeded home. There was no place to sit, and I didn't feel comfortable asking some random person to watch my dog on the side of the building. THEN as I walk past the drive thru window on my way out I hear Liz (Starbuck barista) telling the customer who drove up as I was walking out of the drive thru that I'm some "crazy dog lady, and doesn't know what my problem is. I clearly have issues." Guess what...I don't have any issues, I work in customer service and am very loyal to Starbucks! Really was that neccesary. Obviously I'm already disappointed that I'm not getting my morning coffee (which I religously get every morning) and now have a 2 mile walk uphill. I understand there may be a policy of "walking through" the drive up (and I'm sure for very good reason) but what if any employee could have offered to help me instead of watching me struggle. How about if one of them many employees standing around both in the drive thru or inside had offered to come out and get my GOLD CARD and bring me a drink. I'm cautious enough not to take my 80 pound lab into a food establishment like many people would have done. As a pet owner I'm responsible for my dog. It wasn't my fault that the tables were all full, and I certainly wasn't trying to be "some crazy dog lady." I didnt deserve to be talked about for several minutes with the car at the drive up. The car actually approached me down the road and APOLOGIZED FOR LIZ'S behavior and check on me. So really you now disappointed two sets of customers. Last I tried calling the location directly after to get some names and speak with the manager. I was left on hold for some time before I finally hung up and called back. Clearly the behavior at the drive thru was not something people were proud of. I did get confirmation that the manager Lauren was not in after the first call they said she was. I actually walked an addtional mile out of my way to go to another Starbucks. Do you know what the location on 122nd and Sunnyside did...they walked out as soon as they could, brought me my drink, AND on top of that brought my dog a large cup of water. You know it was 80 degrees out! Oh and they remembered my name as usual...and it wasn't "The crazy dog lady." I won't stop drinking and supporting Starbucks because of one person, but I hope Lauren (the manager) sets some higher standards for her team and really evaluates the service in her location. This Starbucks has its closing time listed as 10pm... but it seems like the employees are cool to close up at 9pm. Super annoying that they can't honor the hours posted. At the very least they could change their hours on their door and online. read more

Waited 20 minutes for 1 latte. Several people around me ordered and left, I asked twice for my latte and was told it was next. At one point they just stopped listening and walked away from me. I am a gold member, I go everyday in Gresham. read more

I use to love this place but the customer service has been terrible the past few months. The manager has an unfriendly attitude and it seems to rub off on her employees. I expect better customer service from Starbucks. I will be taking my daily purchases to another location and encouraging my friends and family to do the same. read more

I'm super sad to see this Starbucks get so many one star reviews! I frequent this one and I have always had wonderful customer service. I usually order ahead on the app every Saturday and my hubby goes in to pick it up. He's never had to wait for our drinks and they have always been right on point and consistently good tasting. One time I ordered through the app but it didn't seem to go through. My husband said the baristas apologized and immediately got to making our order which they had MEMORIZED! I may be a little biased since I worked at a Starbucks many moons ago, but I think the staff here is by far the friendliest and most consistent I've ever encountered. Sure the parking sucks and the layout for the lot is terrible, but don't let that bother you and take it out on the baristas there. I never worry about what I'll get when I go there I know I'll always get exactly what I ordered quickly and with a smile, and that's what matters most! read more

This place is awesome. There was a little issue with my drink yesterday but I called the manager Mitch and he said to come back in and he'd take care of me. When I went back Him and his staff were so nice. Mitch and his crew have exceptional customer service. I couldn't be happier with the way the mistake was handled. We all make mistakes but it all depends on how it is taken care of. This place knows how to do that. I will be a repeat customer for sure. This place is the best. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks on Sunnyside Rd. I love the convenience of the drive thru (although going thru the parking lot is a bit awkward). The employee's are always friendly and the coffee is good. I will drive out of my way for this location and would highly recommend it. read more

Starbucks is suppose to be known for it's customer service, but several experiences here make me think that this Starbucks got left out of the training. I had an issue today where my gift card was messed up to the order of $25.00 in the hole, Not only was I made to feel that I was annoyance for asking it to be cleared up, but I had to push until it was made right. Keep driving down the road to the next Starbucks, this is the second issue I have had with them and their attitude. read more

The women who helped was named Heather and was very rude. She seemed very irritated with us and continued her conversations with coworkers while we were ordering and trying to be polite. I work in customer business and I understand some days are worse than others but you shouldn't bring that to work. Never make your customers feel neglected whether you like them or not. It's your job to make the customers feel happy and welcomed. I did not feel welcomed here. Everyone else was very polite. read more

Let's start off to say that I am definitely not an avid online reviewer, but for this instance I felt it was necessary to share my experience. I frequent my neighborhood Starbuck(s) very often for the fact that I live literally right across the street from the newer location in Happy Valley, OR. I love going there because of the great service that you Normally receive at Starbucks Coffee. This morning I went to grab a couple of drinks/breakfast sandwiches for my boyfriend and I. We visit this location probably 3-4 times a week at the least. It can get pretty busy (usually still goes pretty fast though) with the line at the drive thru. I noticed today that it was not a long line. I ordered and pulled around the corner. I had realized that I forgot to order one of the drinks a triple shot. I politely asked Jessica (Jess) who was working the window on this Wednesday morning, if she could add another shot to one of the drinks. Jess proceeded to respond and this is almost exactly word for word "No, we already made your drink, it is too hard for us to re-do it, we have to keep the line moving." The employee behind her asked her what we needed to do for me willingly, and she said to her "Don't worry about it," telling the employee to move on. I was literally shocked. I had NEVER received this response before at ANY Starbucks. I felt bad for the fact that I had forgot to order the extra shot, but I never hesitated to ask because of the policy "If we don't make your drink how you want it, we'll make it over again for you." They even have this posted on their chalkboard easels inside at some locations. I was willing to pay for the shot and would have been happy for just adding it to the top and I could have stirred it up. I didn't need a whole new drink. I usually hate asking for a new drink, and most of the time avoid it and just drink the one I was given because the other way is wasteful. Starbucks is normally great with this policy and offers exceptional customer service. Unfortunately, not in this case. It was ironic how Jess had told me that she had to keep the drive thru line moving, and then she actually had me waiting there for my breakfast sandwiches. Seemed to me that it would have been pretty easy for her to add another shot to the drink while I was sitting there waiting for the sandwiches. Overall this was the WORST experience I have ever had at a Starbucks. I felt this could have been easily avoided had the employee cared and followed through with Starbucks customer service in mind. Yes, this is just coffee we are talking about, but I was completely thrown off by the service and the "No" response that I was given. I just expect better than that out of Starbucks. I want to not have to worry about, if I order my drink incorrectly, will they give me a hard time about it? I am hoping to avoid Jess in the future, or anyone like her, because frankly she is not a good addition to the brand or reputation of the company. I hope that by posting a review, this specific location can address the problem so that no other customers have to be apart of an uncomfortable experience. read more
