If you are fortunate enough to be at a Starbucks, you are not exactly poor. If you have never been in one, you have been living under a rock. Starbucks are all pretty much the same. This location is one of the cleaner Starbucks in the Chattanooga area. Be happy about that. :) If you are going to complain about having to wait in a long line for your beverage, call it in ahead of time. Starbucks will allow you to pre-order your drink; problem solved. This Starbucks has always been efficient. The baristas consistently get the drinks right. That alone is saying something about excellence. You want to talk about friendly? This Starbucks consistently has shiny happy smiling faces. Add to that the baristas are calm and they don't rush you, and it's a comforting time. Sitting and slowly sipping my hot Chai Tea Latte is a pleasure as the light brown elixir glides down my throat and warms my tummy. I started going to this particular Starbucks a year ago, and each time, the store has been neat, tidy and clean inside. Stock is consistently replenished since this is a busy Starbucks, therefore, stock rotates often, which provides the freshest product. I have mixed feelings about this Starbucks. On the plus side, they have some of the most friendly employees of any location I've visited. On the other hand, it is the slowest Starbucks I've ever been to. And I've been to a lot of Starbucks. (Like, easily over 100-- probably more like over 200 amongst the many I've gone to in airports, Target outlets and stand alone stores.) But enough about me... the consistent wait of 10+ minutes for even a simple drink at this location gets a little tiresome. This seems weird to me as it usually appears that there are plenty of folks working. Hmmmph. I'm also not in love with the fact that the drive thru seems to get more attention than the folks who order in store. It's kind of like when you're in a store and the clerk ignores you while helping someone on the phone and you're standing right there! I got my butt out of the car to come in here! C'mon! It's a Starbucks, you know what you're getting with this chain coffee place. The employees are amazing and so friendly, the drinks are always made correctly and if not, they'll bend over backwards to make it right. The 3 stars are for how unbelievably slow they can be. It doesn't matter what time of day you visit, there is always a line of cars in the drive-thru and a limited number of parking spaces. This isn't the place to go in you're in a hurry or have to be somewhere. This Starbucks was awful. I ordered a shaken espresso and was handed a cup that was basically milk. I was very polite, and got back in line to ask for a remake and she apologized and told the guy on cold bar. We waited for 10 minutes and the guy never handed it out. Then I got back in line to ask for refund. The girl seemed super confused and like she had no idea how to issue a refund. I said fine, can I have a plain iced coffee. Then, the guy finally looked at us, claimed to have handed the remake out the drive through, and made it again. Still wrong. Finally left because this location can't make drinks and also doesn't know how to offer good customer service. So much for customer connection. TLDR: never got a refund and drink was still nasty. read more

What can you say. We went through the drive through and a voice from a mechanical box welcomed us and asked us what we would like. We ordered our drinks drove to the window where we exchanged payment for our drink of hot water poured over ground beans mixed with hot milk (non-fat latte). Another Starbucks another state. On the quest to hit all the SB across this fine country I stumbled upon this gem. This location is easily accessed and they have a drive thru that I must admit moves fast. I ordered my usual white chocolate mocha which came out as expected and tasted good. We also got some sweet treats to have. The food and drinks came out fast and the wait wasn't bad. There were 4 cars in front of us and it seemed like no time before we were in our way. read more

This used to be my go-to location. Now it's just my last resort location. The staff they had up until the late part of Summer was AWESOME. Friendly and made sure they gave you hot, fresh coffee. After late Summer, looks like they got an entire new staff almost. I've had to contact their corporate office several times for not having coffee (or rather too lazy) to fix new coffee. I've had instances where I specifically ask for room in my cup, only to see there was no room and because of that, my hand got burned by the coffee. The list goes on. The culture is just not the same as it was with the old staff. I haven't completely stopped coming to this location, but only because I am in this area often. On my off days, I value my rest and time relaxing at home. I work in the medical field nearby and am a frequent flyer at this location. This morning I got out of bed and told myself it was going to be a productive day. After running an errand I stopped by Starbucks to treat myself to a PSL and get the endorphins flowing. I ordered on the app and my order was ready before I got there. As I was leaving and got into my truck I was so excited about my cup of joy that I forgot it was on my dash as I tried to exit the parking lot swiftly as someone was waiting for my spot. Well, you can guess what happened next. And now my freshly cleaned truck will smell like Pumpkin Spice til the end of the season I went back in looking like a sad puppy fully expecting to purchase a new drink and was greeted by Ricky & Erin (those are their human names, only God knows their Angelic names) and asked if I had a spill. I told them what happened and tried to purchase a new drink and they insisted they remake my order for me free of charge. To them, it's just a cup of coffee. To me, it was the pick me up I needed and my spark of joy to get my off day started. I just wanted to give a shout out to Erin and Ricky for being such kind souls and being so kind. They were both so sincere and kind and that type of human interaction can be a rarity now a days. I always love the Starbucks atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly. Free wifi, newspapers and chillaxation. They are very clean, customer oriented and polite. another typical Starbucks, with easy access from Hwy 153 so the convenient location is nice, though it makes for a sometimes lengthy drive-thru wait time. you can use your mobile ordering in the Starbucks app to make the process a little easier and save some time but I typically find the line inside to be very short, if there is one at all. FYI: you can't really judge the possible line from looking at the parking lot since most people are just sitting at a table, with their favorite electronic device, or perhaps even another human. First off, I understand that due to Covid we need to wear masks and keep distance, which I did. Upon attempting to place my order the lady couldn't hear me so I pulled my mask "AWAY" not down or off of my face to try and speak and the woman immediately told me to put my mask back on and her attitude became very nasty and she was not upholding a good customer service standard! She repeatedly stated my order incorrectly and never made an attempt to apologize for her attitude or the situation. On top of all of this , they forgot my danish! Just had a terrible experience here. My cousin who is 13 went in alone to order a drink. She was told to stand on a square after she ordered (understandable bc of COVID). So, she stood on a square. A very rude employee came up to her a minute later and said, "YOU need to stand on a square like everyone else in here". There were taped squares behind the bar that she couldn't see, and she only saw the square tiles on the floor... since the entire floor is made of squares. Some advice for ANY business- respect your customers, no matter their age. It's pathetic that you feel the need to talk down to a child. We come here a lot & we will not be returning. I have lived all over the US and have been to many Starbucks. This is one of the most consistent. These people are good at what they do and serve a lot of people in a fast but very accurate mode. I hate going to this Starbucks. Every time I go, the line is super long (inside or drive-tru) and 9 times out of 10, they get my order wrong. If I wanted a Skinny Vanilla latte, I would order that rather than a non-fat vanilla latte! The location is also not the most accessible. read more

If not for the outside seating I would just go to the Books a Million on the other side of the parking lot. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. While they do not stand around and chat with one another, the lines at this location can get backed up. I do think you could save a couple of minutes by going inside (although those lines get long as well), but that would require getting out of your car. I feel compelled to write this review due to how loud the music both in and outside the establishment. I suppose from a business perspective, Starbucks general managers want people going in and out. Which is an odd paradox for a coffee shop maintain. Basically, you are not quite that welcome to stay. The music is really loud to prevent people from gathering there. Plus, it is a small joint and there aren't enough nearby starbucks or coffee shops (maybe Panera bread) so this place could get crowded easily. Wifi - rarely works well, if at all. Which is pretty common amongst the surrounding starbucks around this area. It's really a joke that they even provide this. Strong coffee aroma. The scent of coffee aroma is way to strong here. It's like Starbucks is trying what subway does with its overbearing product aroma. Short review: This starbucks is not the urban, trendy kind you find from Seattle or what the brand often typically promotes. This is a drive-in, get your order and get out joint, akin to a dunkin donuts with high prices. Quick tips: Do plan to use this place for wifi or to do any work out of for more than 20 minutes or so. Some of the food items that I have purchased there were out of date , and should not have been sold . I've been in that line with my blinker on to turn in and had someone pull directly into the line cutting me off.
