So a couple of weeks ago I was on my way to work and I happen to glance over and saw the "NOW OPEN" sign! Whaaat?! I had no clue they were even opening a Starbucks in that plaza! I live around the area and if I wanted starbucks I had to wake up extra early and drive all the way to Kam shopping center! There's also a few in downtown, but it's so difficult to park there. So anyway, I was so happy to find out that there was one en route to work!!! Yes, I'm a Starbucks addict! I finally went to this one and was shocked to see how big and clean it was! I used the app to order ahead and all I had to do was walk up to the side counter to pick up my "ready to go" drink! This Starbucks looks super chic and very clean and has plenty of parking! It's definitely my new go to Starbucks for my quick morning runs or for when I want to relax, sip some coffee and enjoy a good book! read more

I really don't know how this one is supposed to fancier but they always get the orders wrong. And it takes forever. The cashier asked me if I wanted my coffees sweetened I said no. She asked if I wanted sriracha for my egg bites I said yes. Please tell me why neither was done. I got overly sweet iced coffee(gross) and egg bites without sriracha. I didn't realize til I got in the car and drove off. And it was NOT the cashiers fault because it clearly says on my receipt sriracha. And I saw her make a modification when I said NOT sweetened. She was sweet and personable. She should work at a better location and get a raise. read more

YES THANK THE GOD! I live on the outskirts of down town and even though there's like fifty places to grab a coffee downtown none offer convenient parking and it is beyond busy! It's just overall inconvenient for me. So when I found out they opened up a new Starbucks Reserve location at the Nuuanu Shopping Plaza I started to cry.....well internally-it was an inner cry of happiness lol. I was so excited and planned on getting my morning coffee there the next day. Now, here I am and this place is pretty big. Yay! New location closer to home for me! This Starbucks is located next to the Walgreens and Supercuts at the Nuuanu Shopping Plaza. It is pretty spacious on the inside with the usual items available for purchase on the wall displays and little shelf near the order line. This location also participates in the mobile ordering so yay! Even more convenient for me. And the nice thing too is there's tons of parking at this location! I can park, grab my coffee, then go and hop back on the freeway to get to work. It seems though that because they're still new, it can be a little slow. I went on a Saturday morning around 7:00am and there was a line! This will definitely be my new go-to location though. So glad this location opened! read more

First time at this Starbucks and I thought the experience was great! I ordered on the app while in my car and popped in 5 minutes later to grab it. The store is modern, clean and exactly what you'd expect from everyone's favorite third place. My blonde roast kept me warm all morning and my protein box was the perfect lunch during a long day. If you don't have the Starbucks app, you should definitely download it and order your drinks through it. You collect stars for free drinks which makes ordering that much more fun. So fast and convenient, especially during the busy morning coffee rush. read more

Twenty minutes after placing my order, only half of it was completed. After watching 20+ orders go out to people that came after me, I knew something was amiss. I asked the employee where was my Iced Royal English Breakfast Tea Latte and surely enough the drink wasn't made. The workers proceeded to rush out my order and clearly made it improperly. The color of the beverage was translucent like watered down milk, so I took one sip of my breakfast tea and it was literally watered down milk tea. Asked for a refund immediately after that awful taste. Instead of pushing out multiple orders out of sequence, someone should've acknowledged that my order was missing a drink before processing drinks for others. I totally believe the other negative reviews for this location and I'm definitely not returning. $7 for watered down milk and 20 minutes of time wasted is unacceptable. read more

Not quite sure why this Starbucks has such low reviews. Although Starbucks all share the same beans, people that have tried different Starbucks locations know that each Starbucks has a slightly different taste cause the baristas. This is one of the better Starbucks that I've been to (such yummy strong coffee yum!) and has become one of my favorites since it's relatively close to where I live, and there's always parking. I usually order my drinks on the Starbucks app before hand, so I usually don't interact with the staff nor do I have a problem with waiting for my order, but the handful of times I have ordered in store, the staff were all friendly and they kept the line moving. Finding a table can be a bit of a challenge depending on what time you go, but parking is never really a problem read more

I work nearby and am so grateful there is a Starbucks so close. This used to be a RadioShack apparently? Anyways, this place is BUSY, all the time for the most part. The best way (at least for morning and lunch times) is to order on the Starbucks app. Otherwise be prepared to wait up to 20 minutes for your order, that's how crazy it gets here. I think the staff are all really nice and friendly, haven't had a bad experience. They seem to have a system down too. One on food, one on register, few people on drinks etc. One complaint is the app. One morning I was planning on ordering my breakfast and pick it up on the way to work BUT their app system was turned off because something broke...ugh I was upset but luckily it was magically not that busy and I walked in and got my food ASAP. Another gripe is prices...jeeze $5 for a tall latte now? Seriously? What a rip. I only patronize this SB since its the ONLY coffee place within walking distance...I wish a cute local coffee joint would open nearby since SB is just a giant corporation. I live down the road and have tried on 4 occasions to get nitro cold brew at morning and evening hours only to be told it's either out or broken. On Thursday 09/14 about 1pm, thinking I would try again I got the best excuse from the female cashier... "um it's kinda not working"... what is kinda not working? Once again no nitro, does it even exist or marketing ploy? The pastry case in this Starbucks is always unorganized and not at all stocked (pictured below), the Barista and cashiers are horribly slow and have terrible customer service never even attempting a smile. When this location first opened they had a male who was so good he must have been sent from corporate to open the location, his level of knowledge and service was not realistic for the common worker. He has since gone and the new store is left to rot in its abysmal state. This place is noisy but all Starbucks are, I guess. I was a bit annoyed that they wouldn't take my 100 this am...first they said they couldn't because they didnt have change. Which is odd at 7am but then upon further questioning it was explained it is a policy and they drop 20s into a lockbox and run out of change quickly. I suggested they post a sign because in a cash business I'd expect to pay, or maybe they want to be cashless? Anyway the other thing which I wrote about in last review was how people will get all territorial in some Starbucks. A gentleman said I was sitting where he intended to have a meeting for 5, let me say that 3 tables were empty in a row but he needed MY table and suggested I move to the other side where there were 2 tables. Then he proceeds to pull my table together to middle but DOESNT take the other, 3rd table on the other end. So here I sit without a table (I said he could have the table but I wanted to sit where I already sat) and there's an empty table on the other side. I guess this review is getting 3 grumpy stars...because I think it's a Starbucks, not an office, even though, yes, even I use it for casual meetings as well as a coffee break but I walk in without the expectation that it is MY office. I am NOT impressed with this Starbucks. Apart from one bearded friendly barista, the service is terrible. Each time I come in, I bring my own cup. The first few times I saw them making it in a plastic cup and then pouring it into my drink, I let it go. It was still pretty new and I didn't want to be "that customer". The next few times, I was just more direct and asked them to please make it in the reusable cup, as my goal was to not use a plastic single use cup. They were very nice about it and STILL PERSISTED in making it in a plastic cup. The last two times I went in, they forgot to add my cup to the line up so I had to ask for them to make it, after 10 minutes. I was met with a withering stare. I'm all for efficiency but just tell the customer if the request they made is not possible. In addition, thus is a super busy location. It's not unusual to wait 15 min for your drink in the morning. Very Disappointed in this Starbucks! I'm a longtime member of Starbucks, I have quite a bit of family and friends that also work with Starbucks, so I have a really good idea of what their coffee and service is suppose to be like. I usually got to KAMEHAMEHA SHOPPING CENTER STARBUCKS (they are the best and I will be returning there after such horrible experiences at Nuuanu). I just recently moved to a new place on Nuuanu, so naturally I started going to the Nuuanu Starbucks location. I've gone 3 different times since I've moved in and my husband about 3/4 times as well. The lines are always ridiculous - they have so many workers in that store sometimes or like no workers at all. And it seems half the time the workers are to busy chatting it up joking with each other to service their customers the way they should. For example with 5 people working one person will be doing drinks and sometimes even hop over to register while other workers are aimlessly floating around the store. Now I've gone here 3 times and my husband about the same and EVERY SINGLE TIME they get at least one drink wrong if not all of them, it's like the people At this Starbucks don't have any passions or joy in what they are doing. Maybe try slowing down, not socializing and doing your job , Doesn't take much to pick up a cup and read what's written on it so you make the drink properly, jeez thank goodness I'm not someone with major allergies. I could go on for a while with this Starbucks on how So many things are disappointing here , a waste of More than $50 of my money. Will not be returning here! First time in a long while visiting this store. Lots of floor markings and directional arrows, so look down as soon as you enter the door. Or, better yet, always stay left. Nice big circles with 6' distancing. Now to the happy hour BOGO. This was my first time trying the Golden Ginger Cold Drink. Yum! Possibly a new fave. I have given this Star Buck's location several months and have found the following: Little to no change in how rapidly they get drinks out while using the mobile app, I have to wait in line with everyone else waiting to for their drinks and at times had to wait over 20 minutes even though the app said it had been ready for 10 minutes. Staff still need to smile more and be more courteous to their customers. While this has improved a lot, they have a long way to go to match comparable Star Bucks. Parking isn't too bad most of the time given the numerous businesses located in the shopping center, it can be tight in the mornings. I just love this location and hope upon hope they will improve and become as effecient as other Star Bucks on the island. read more

*Starbucks, I swear, you are everywhere I need you to be! No matter where they open one up I'll be happy regardless (As all students will agree too :P) Hours: 4:00AM-9:00PM (Wished they had the same hours as the one at Ward) This review like with every Starbucks one to me is never about the coffee or how its made, because if it was it wouldn't be fun to just copy and paste a review you made about one Starbucks to the others. So with that, this review is just based on the location, customer service, and overall why I gave it 5 stars. This location is perfect! Ample parking, and near a major intersection at the heart of town without having to deal with traffic or parking. The environment and atmosphere inside so cozy and comfortable, lots of tables and seats. When you walk in you get comfortable seats on the right lots of them very comfortable, not the wooden one, but the soft-seated seats. and on the right, there are about two tables both areas near the entrance both have outlets! As you continue to walk in there are four two-seater tables along the windows facing beautiful trees across the freeway and each tables outlets on them that have four three holed sockets so your good! Also on the right, you will also see where all the extra amenities such as creamer, straws sugar etc, a very good location to place it eliminating traffic. In the center of the Starbucks, there is a central seating area that provides 360 seating for everyone both sides have tables on the three on each side that could each seat two (facing each other format), couldn't find any outlets under the 360 seating area. Closer to the main ordering area there will be four high tables with about three seats each, and toward the end, there is a round table that could easily seat 4-5 people. Bathrooms! The bathrooms are clean and private, sometimes just ask them to refill the tissues for handwashing because there were multiple occasions where I came and stayed for hours and left the bathroom with my hands wet. Overall, the workers were nice, the vibe was chill, great selection on food, and I love the reclaimed wood-like design. Not to crowded at times and never a time I didn't find a seat. This is my new Starbucks location to do work, and like with every Starbucks, people will come! So I'm glad they opened a location here! :) SYOY! read more

So excited for this location. Been venturing to Manoa for a safe haven to get work done. Pros: - Lots of workspace - Two restrooms Cons: - One particular employee with purple hair: When sweeping, pushes the chairs with the broom causing the finger nails against a chalk board, rattling noise of metal against concrete. Makes you cringe with each time she cleans under one of the 30 chairs in the location. Lifting chairs to move would be a suggestion. - There are homeless coming in and occupying table space without purchasing. Locks on the restrooms would be good. read more
