This Starbucks is just horrible. I love my Starbucks and this has been the worse one I have ever been to. Nothing about this place has the Starbucks friendliness or welcoming feel. There were two workers and no customer before me. Not even busy. I ordered one iced drink and the staff asked me to do her a favor. She asked me to put the milk out on the counter and bring the three other milk containers to her. I didn't even need milk. Of course, I did it but was not happy. What worker would ask a paying customer to do their job. I can see if it's busy and people were waiting for the milk for their coffee. I would be more than happy to do if it wasn't busy. read more

I've been coming to this starbucks since it opened and I am so glad they built one so close to our school!! Like any other starbucks, they will be extremely busy during the morning hours with lines extending to the door. Due to its location, there will often be a mix of business people, college students, med school students, hipsters, and the occasional odd person with a parrot on his shoulder.. Nevertheless this starbucks is always bustling which may make it difficult to find a table or a little too loud to efficiently study. My main complaint would have to be the parking situation.. Which is more so the fault of the designer of the 680 Complex.. There is a one-way entrance on opposite sides of the block that meet in the middle and make you exit behind the building. It's extremely difficult if you have to go all the way around if you miss a parking stall, but it's even worse when people don't know or forget that it is a one-way lot!! Also forgot to mention that parking is ONLY ONE HOUR. Which sucks for people who need to study the entire day... Plus, regardless of the time limit, it's so hard to find parking because all the stalls are FULL. Don't bother trying to find street parking on Coral because those fill up quickly too. read more

I came here to order my drinks as I almost drink here everyday, and she change the price of my drink and add on it more money when I pay at the cashier and said that her policy. Well, I drink here every single day so I know how much my drink worth and every others staff were really nice ti me, except only her with grumpy face and bad attitude. When i told her please do it faster a bit cause I have to go as well as parking very busy, so seem like don't want to make order and ask me 5 times to cancel it. It's unacceptable for Starbuck customers services, especially I'm a loyalty customer and have golm membership. She really need to rethinking about her attitude and educated herself by conducting a new training courses. Agree with other reviewers about this location: it used to be really good. However, maybe it's when I am coming here but the last two times (both Sunday mornings around 6:30 - 7:00) the staff are zombie like, indifferent, not unfriendly, just wholly indifferent to your presence in their store. It's like they think that the Sunday morning shift is for cleaning and stocking and not for service. I don' t know it's probably the Sunday morning shift but drinks come slow also. Surprising how few Starbucks in Downtown area... and this is new trendy area so they are so smart to be ahead of the curve.. huge line in morning could use a coffee only line.... is that great idea or what. No recycling.. Starbucks global should take note of how they do it in Japan.. patrons separating liquids, plastic, food and cups at the door. This Starbucks always have sitting room. The people are nice and polite as well. There's a lot of parking and places to eat within walking distance of you aren't feeling the Starbucks food. This a great place to do homework or hangout with. The only bad part about this Starbucks that it close to the docks so the surrounding areas smell bad, so I wouldn't want to sit outside. This isn't the closest Starbucks to me but I would rather go here than the one on Manoa. They also have free wifi which is great and it's pretty fast. Fast enough to stream Netflix if you want to procrastinate from doing homework! But overall this is one of the nicest Starbucks, with lots of seating and outlets. My boyfriend asked me if I wanted to go on a co-working date with him and this is where we ended up because I had meetings in the area. When you are always on the go business people with kids, co-working is indeed a date with your spouse and loaded with productivity. What more could a girl ask for? This is a very busy store but not so busy that you can't find a seat. They've got lots of tables, counter seating and my personal favorite, the community table for those of us who don't get enough attention socially or are consummate shut ins working on exploring the outside world in a safe environment. We chose the community table because we wanted room to spread out all our stuff and I like sitting next to awkard people who won't look you in the eyes. I spent my morning trying to connect to the terrible wi-fi, only to then plug in my computer to my own Verizon wireless card. While working on my laptop I people watched and let me tell you, this is almost as good as reality TV! The pleasant yet bored barista who longs for a life outside of Starbucks but clings to the day to day turn key stability of the corporate wheel. The metro man with washed out jeans and sunglasses on his head who walked in with his girlfriend yet kept staring at my boyfriend. I could really go on and on and on with all the fantastic things I've been able to witness here in such a short amount of time! The one big downside of working outside of home though is the energy drain complaining that you're privy to when people are meeting around you. Let's put that energy in solutions and not negativity folks! ; ) Not sure if I'll be back here to co-work on a regular basis, because let's face it, I'm much more productive at home in my sweat pants. Sometimes- you just have to give in and get something that will hit the caffeine spot that needs to be itched. Who doesn't feel like a grande Carmel Machiato is a better choice than a $2.50 coke from a vending machine- especially when someone else is buying? I do not go to Starbucks daily- but I too need a caffeine fix usually to be a happy American. I like this location as a good location that is not as busy as others but is still convenient to me. There are other starbucks that may have nicer furniture to sit on but the seats are just fine here. The prepared food is good too- I like the egg sandwiches. Could not get a single employee--three employees within 5 feet of me, mind you--to make eye contact. Not even the barista who was facing my general direction, making drinks 2-1/2 feet from me. Finally poked my head over the counter and leaned in to ask Britney, who had her back to the customers in line while she was talking to Malia, if I should (hint, hint) stand at *this* register or *that* register. She said I should stand at *that* register. Thankfully, David happened to pop out of the back room about then and he was a friendly face who actually--omg, what?!--took my order. About then, Britney finished her chat with Malia so she graced me with her presence to come take my money. Conclusion: Yikes. This is my go to Starbucks when I work in Honolulu. Since Starbucks introduced the "Order" feature on their app, it's made my experience much better. I usually place my order when I find a parking slot, and I rarely NOT have my order ready. My beverage and breakfast sandwich are hot and ready. Starbucks is world wide, we know. It's synonymous with great coffee and there are legions of followers who swear by their coffee each morning to get from point A to everywhere else in between to get to point B, and then some. You have a fan in me, Starbucks. I used to be hooked on your coffee to get me through the tough workdays, but since 2012 December, I have came to the realization that I don't need caffeine to get myself through the day. Going on 3 1/2 years strong now and have no plans on changing. I do come to Starbucks to grab a tea lemonade and partake in your baked goods from time to time, but that's about it. You do have great house music playing each time I come through any Starbucks locations visit. Plus, free wifi and an outlet to charge my phone (when it's not busy packed and one is available). I've come to Starbucks many times here in Hawaii and in many locations across the USA and twice in Paris, FR and Amsterdam NLD. To my surprise that there is a new location that propped itself up at the corner of Coral Street and Ala Moana Blvd in the heart of Honolulu / Kaka'ako district, it just was simply too good to pass up. I was here recently due to the 2016 Pokemon Go craze and it just happens that Coral Street is prime location real estate for good sightings of Pokemon. Ye overall experience here at Starbucks is as good as it can get. Free wifi and a place to sit, relax, do homework, or just read the newspaper. Many people come here to do anything and I'm glad that they don't kick you out for loitering and not buying anything. :) As with all Starbucks, the traditional set up remains identical. The green lady local and "Starbucks Coffee" out in front has been there with popular culture for a while - at least since 2004, when I graduated college. It's the traditional coffee house with all the modern conveniences. They have good and friendly service here and you can always hear their blender going off about every 10 minutes or so, which means that someone had ordered a frappuchino of some size. This particular location of Starbucks was a new location I had visited, being that I didn't know one was around here till I noticed someone holding a Starbucks frappuchino while catching Pokemon on Coral Street on one recent August afternoon. I realized that it had to be somewhere close and that's where I found out. It just may be my newest hangout pau Hana place / Pokemon hang out for the foreseeable future. This Starbucks location is located at 680 Ala Moana Blvd in the heart of Kaka'ako. Nearby is Kaka'ako waterfront park and the university of Hawaii: John A Burns School of Medicine, among many retail establishments. They accept major credit cards, so that's always a good thing. If you are like me, TheBus routes 19, 20, 42, 55, and 56, among others will make a stop across the street from Starbucks on Coral / Ala Moana Boulevard. Just walk across the street and you'll be there in no time at all. Starbucks always has been the go to place alternative than that of your local library. It's a place that the vibe is better and the music is good. The place is clean and the baristas seem to be extra friendly. There's always a place for you here, whether you're buying something to drink or eat, or just hanging out from the heat or cold. Luckily in Hawaii, we have only heat, although some people here will complain when it's 55 degrees F and rainy in December. Lol My favorites at Starbucks usually are the tea lemonades, getting the green tea one or the black tea one. They're usually good and priced about $4 for the trenta version. I rarely get the frappuchinos now, since they're sugar and fat laden and I am on a weight loss binge. I used to get the chocolaty chip frappuchino or the strawberry and creme frappuchino and they were pretty good, although it can be pricey at nearly $6 for a venti. Still, Starbucks can be pricey if you come here a lot or at least frequent enough to where you can empty a significant portion of your paycheck here. The space is large enough to accommodate many people here at this location in kaka'ako. Can't beat free wifi and the air condition is quite freeing too. The baked goods that they serve here can be pricey too, much like food at the airport, you get what you pay for - and then some. While they do taste fairly good, these baked goods, specifically the cheese Danish and the brownie are what my favorites are whenever I come to Starbucks. I usually order them with my tea lemonade and I'm good to go. 4.5 stars for being awesome! Just wish that prices would be a little price sensitive for many of us who love Starbucks but are on a budget. Recommended for your coffee and caffeine needs. Support local! B+ read more

Now you wait in line to get into the parking lot and you wait in line to get out of the parking lot. On 2 separate occasions the parking machines didn't work and then to get out of the lot you would need to go find a security guard to help. This location is no longer convenient. read more

Probably one of the nicest Starbucks I have ever gone to! I was greeted by a couple baristas right when I walked in the door and very genuinely as well. You know sometimes when you walk in and you get that generic greeting; well it wasn't like that at all! This Starbucks has such a cool vibe to it! I feel like I'm transported some where in California when I come here! There's an endless amount of seating in here and also everything is kept very clean. My drink of choice that day was a triple iced espresso in a grande cup. Good for those days when you want that extra kick and plus it was so hot that day that I needed something light and cold to cool me down. I love this Sbux! Drinks are standard (happy hour half off frapps after 3pm until May 10th, 2014!), but I love the atmosphere. It's huge, with tons of bar seating along the windows, a communal table for business meetings or making new friends, high top tables (4 tables for 3-4 people), square tables (2 tables that seat 4), comfy armchairs (4 that seat 1 or if you're the snuggling lap sitting kind 2), about 4-5 tables outside, and TONNNNNS of outlets! All along the walls for bar seating, along the floor for the communal table. AND they have a clean bathroom! (just ask for the code) I love that this is in the heart of My Kaka'ako, with amazing street art to inspire you, and my personal favorite, One Love Ministries (great church!!) is right across the street. I've seen it crowded and busy, but never to the point where it's overwhelming with ridiculous lines and no seats available. Great alternative to Ward Sbux, which is usually packed to the walls. There's tons of free 1 hour parking in a private lot, and tons of 2 hour meters along the street (free after 6 and on Sundays). Highway Inn, Hank's Haute Dogs, Cocina are all on the same block so there's tons of food to refuel if you're burning the midnight oil (though I think this one closes around 8 or 9...). First of all - I LOVE the atmosphere in this location! It is very modern/mainland. It is definitely somewhere I would want to hang out and catch up with friends. The free parking is awesome too. I have been to this location twice, and both times was disappointed by the slow pace at which the baristas worked. As a former barista, I know the morning - when people are on their way to work - is when people expect to be in and out quickly. This morning I walked in at 7:27 and didn't walk out until 7:45! There were maybe 10 people in front of me, and I had ordered plain iced coffee and unsweetened iced tea. It's always nice to be friendly with your customers but to talk to them, and other employees, so much that it slows down the service at a busy time is no bueno. This location is super convenient for my commute, and the drinks are always delicious, but the slow pace makes me weary of stopping on my way in to work again. read more

I am not going to talk what they have at Starbucks because I am already going to assume you already know what's at Starbucks. That also goes for the prices. The staff and customer service is great. I came here several times in all three points of the day and everyone all seems on point. This is also a good place to kinda study and stuff if you need to. It's not a big Starbucks but they do have a decent amount of table and seating areas inside and outside of the store. Sometimes I like coming here more preferable than the busy Ward locations Location and Parking It's conveniently located in between Keawe St. and Coral St. on Ala Moana Blvd. If you are gonna drive then you just have to be aware that it is one hour parking slots. If you are on Ala Moana Blvd. heading towards Ala Moana side, you are going to make the left turn into Coral St. You cannot really miss it since it is also right next to the Illest store, Lankila Juice, Highway Inn, etc. read more

I could imagine walking across the street to get a cup of coffee. But then I would be broke because I would go to Starbucks at least twice a day, five days a week...hmmm. But enough of my sad story. This location is perfect. It's on the main street of Ala Moana Blvd. and in the artistic urban area of Kakaako. The nearest Starbucks after this location is in Ward centers and it's always busy there so this was a great idea to open one up in the Kakaako area. I've been here couple of times. And every time I come here, I noticed the most friendliest outgoing Starbucks employees. Not only do they greet you (like every other Starbucks out there), but they make you feel comfortable. One of the employees here always jokes around and I like that! Puts a smile on every customer that walks in. What I like about this location is that there are a lot of seats. As a student going to Starbucks to study, finding a seat or a table may be a challenge.
