Terrible service. I just purchased a seven dollar iced coffee with sweet and cold brew from a neighboring Starbucks. It's 80° outside in my car. I drove to the next one just to get more ice. They told me I need to pay for it next time I let them know this is from your coffee and she said yeah ice isn't free. unacceptable service I received at your Starbucks location in Seal Beach on PCH. A Nov 9 2025 at 8:37 am , I entered the store after placing my order through the app. I simply requested the restroom code, and the barista who assisted me was extremely rude and dismissive. He looked me up and down in a judgmental manner, repeated the code multiple times as if I could not understand it, and spoke with an attitude that was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. When I picked up my order, the same barista practically tossed my drink toward me, which is not only disrespectful but absolutely unacceptable behavior for any customer-facing role. As someone with years of experience training and supervising customer service teams, I can confidently say this is far below the standard Starbucks is known for. This is one of my favorite locations to relax and hand out--it's comfortable inside--but I can't come here anymore for the coffee because it was the third time the Pikes was watered down this past year. The quality is inconsistent. Last week they made me another one that was better--but I don't think they know what they are doing or are just too busy with the drive-thru? I am finding consistently that the Starbucks locations with a drive-thru have lower quality than the ones without in shopping centers probably because they are just too busy. This location has a ton of employees working like crazy behind the counter and in the drive-thru but I can tell you will certainty that the quality is suffering. I started coming to this location because it was recommended that this particular Starbucks has great, friendly and talented baristas that make really tasty coffee drinks. I am very glad I decided to start coming here, although a little out of my way. The drive is a nice one up the coast and the location is always efficient and keeps the line moving even when it's busy. They must keep their machines really clean because the coffee and the espresso never tastes anything but fresh unlike other locations that at times have coffee that tastes burnt or just muddy. The staff and baristas always have good attitudes and are very friendly and that makes the drive even more worth it. My favorite drink lately has been the cold foam cold brew drinks. Yum! read more

My Sunday routine has been to park in the beach access lot next to this Starbucks and run down to and around the Bolsa Chica wetlands. I gotta earn my Starbies treat, ya' know? My latest go-to drink has been the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew; the last time I drank one, I hit the gym hard after the run + cleaned my apartment from top to bottom + read half of a book. I always feel a little guilty going to Starbucks, considering the abundance of locally owned coffee shops in OC. However, this one is right on PCH in Sunset Beach, making it the most convenient stop for coffee between Newport and Long Beach (trust me, you do not want to stop in Huntington, especially now). Only their drive thru is currently open during the Covid-19 pandemic. All of the staff I have encountered at this location have been friendly, chipper college kids who make the drinks perfectly. I am a sucker for their seasonal lattes, nitro cold brew, and Iced Americanos, which are now available with almond and coconut milks in addition to the long standing soy non-dairy option. Their baked goodies are all terrible, save for the Iced Lemon Loaf Cake, which is moist, meyer lemon perfection. Treat yourself, support corporate America, enjoy Starbucks. read more

This Starbucks has started using "half pumps" of syrup. Wth?! Who made that decision?? They also dilute the lemonade apparently so if you want normal tasting lemonade they are telling me to order "double lemonade." What? I order the same drink all the time, and when it doesn't come out the way it does at other locations, I'm told that in order to get the same thing I have to order 10 pumps of vanilla (versus 5 that I would order at any other Starbucks on planet earth). On my way home it was my 400pm coffee break. We used the drive-thru and ordered our drinks with the employee with the professional radio voice on the other end. I ordered the new pumpkin spice cold brew and an iced mocha with half the chocolate and sweetener. Always a spot by the window with a plug. - great views... I will have to say that. My all time favorite beach it right across the way... So as soon as Im done doing what I need to do? I can grab my coffee and all that matters in the world and head on over to the beach. The baristas are nice, and so far Ive always got what I wanted - just like how I asked for it. Never had a problem! Although, i have never sat in the drive thru at this location, I imagine it is busy. It has one of those spooky cross walks that you dont want to be in. This is the best Starbucks I have ever been to. The baristas are consistent and the drinks are always well made! I feel like a lot of Starbucks I go to nowadays, the baristas are rushed and do not take their time to make drinks properly. This is not the case at this location. Hey, so who says I don't write reviews? Oh, wait, that's me! Anyway, I'll start with the fact that I am not the biggest fan of Starbucks but I did like this location. I was driving down PCH, looking for a place to grab coffee and read while enjoying the afternoon sun. I saw the location and decided to give it a try. This is a nice sized standalone Starbucks, with plenty of seating inside and a seating outside that includes tables, chairs and cushioned benches. This location also has a drive thru. Most importantly, well for me, was that the patio area was on the west side of the building so I could enjoy the warm rays of the afternoon sun (I had bypassed another coffeeshop because the outdoor seating was on the wrong side) The staff was courteous, and as always, I refuse to use their coffee cup size descriptions, preferring to use the more intelligible small, medium, or large. My iced coffee was good, though I would prefer if they used the pellet ice that coffee bean uses. I also ordered a low fat banana cake with chocolate chips which I found to be dry and not very good. Normally, I would have said this was just 3 stars, but I really enjoyed the nice patio area, so I guess I'm feeling generous and adding one more. Also, this is the first review that I have written on my BB, so hey, maybe you'll actually see more reviews from me in the future! read more

I love this Starbucks. It's close to work, the staff is friendly, and they remember my name. Come to think of it, that's one of the things that defines a good Starbucks. I should've known my ex and I wouldn't work out when during the course of a year, the Starbucks next to his house never once remembered my name in a year. Bad sign. But this Starbucks is excellent. This rating would be higher except for the fact that on my most recent visit, I noticed that the patio furniture had been changed. Before, the seating was very cozy with wicker tables and comfortable sofas or oversize wooden single chairs with cushy padding. Yesterday, all I saw were wire mesh tables and naked metal chairs. Disappointed. On the plus side, the staff here is usually pretty upbeat and good with eye contact. The inside of the cafe is small but attractive and there is an Drive-thru which I would never use but it's nice to have and the orientation of the whole production seems easy to navigate, unlike most drive-thrus which resemble obstacle courses. The bathroom is large but not well maintained. I come here whenever I ride up the coast on sunny days. It's a favourite pit stop to stretch my legs and get a coffee, water, or juice. Unfortunately, I've always sat outside because of the attractive patio furniture. Now that the main draw for me is no longer present, I don't see myself returning anymore. Pity. read more

I love this location. It's really accessible from PCH, has a drive thru, very fast and have never received bad service. Even if the drive thru line is loooonnng, you still get in and out within 10 minutes. They are extremely efficient. Many of the baristas know my drink by hearing me through the speaker. Lol. I go out of my way on weekends to come here, it's so close to my house and any other Starbucks around cannot compare. read more

Good location right off PCH, easy to get to, and ample parking is available. When I lived here, I stopped in every day for my coffee. When I visit, I still stop in every day for my coffee. Comfortable chairs inside, outdoor tables and chairs for soaking up the SoCal weather. Large tables down the middle with power supplies are great for working and offer plenty of room even when it's busy. It's not always the fastest Starbucks in the West but at the same time I've never had any unacceptably long wait times either. The coffee and food are always consistent with what you'd expect from any given Starbucks as well. read more
