Cute coffee spot on PCH, right by Bolsa Chica. They have a small patio outside that was packed, but the line inside wasn't long. There are also a few tables indoors and bar seating. I ordered the flat white and my husband ordered the iced brown sugar latte and a breakfast burrito. The drinks were really good and came out pretty fast, but the burrito took awhile. It seemed like we got stuck behind some mobile orders. The burrito was freshly made in the back so the long wait time was probably justifiable and we appreciate made-to-order over packaged/frozen options that some other cafes sell. read more

The seaside location is incredible, with a bustling, lively local energy that makes it a great place to sit back and hang out. As an espresso fan, I ordered my usual flat white to test the waters, and it was really tasty, smooth, well-balanced, and expertly pulled. My wife got the house-made chai latte and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also picked up a bag of their house-roasted Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Kochere (Washed) for home brewing; while the roast tasted fairly standard compared to other Yirgacheffes I've tried, the quality was still solid. One of the best spots for coffee and truly exceptional food. This small shop was located walking distance from where we were staying and became a morning ritual to walk to. The coffee is on point and the food is fresh. The first time I tried the breakfast tacos with chorizo and I was just in heaven. But I was even more amazed when I got the BLT on the homemade focaccia bread. Oh my goodness, the bread was a perfect mesh of crispy outside and soft inside. I have no idea how that did it, but I was seriously in love with this sandwich and am still thinking about it as I write this. The tomato was fresh and the lettuce was crisp and the entire thing was a culinary masterpiece (for a sandwich). The aioli on it was perfect. The coffee is also great and I tried both a mocha as well as their regular coffee. Everyone is extremely nice and they go out of their way for your experience. The whole place is filled with succulents (as it should be!). The vibe is super fun and unique, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It came with a salsa that completely elevated it, and the best part is you can actually buy jars of it to take home (which I highly recommend). I had asked several menu questions to the barista who was quick to answer any questions I had. I ordered a salted maple latte. The salted maple latte was a warm, fall, semi-sweet drink. I personally do not like overly sweet coffee, the salted maple was perfect for my preference and not too salty. The coffee came out quickly and was even adorned with a heart latte art. The inside offered several spots to eat/drink including barstools and tables. The outside has several chairs and umbrellas. They also sell coffee and merchandise off to the side of the register. Succulent coffee roasters offers a great latte, quick service, and a cute environment. I will say, parking can be difficult as there are several businesses in the same shopping center. They roast their own beans, and the Dawn Patrol (a dark roast with rich notes of dark chocolate and nutty flavor) is my personal favorite. I've sampled many drinks on the menu, but the Mexican Mocha stands out with its cinnamon, cayenne, and chocolate blend. Food-wise, their AVO Toast with egg, is a must...especially with the adobo sauce, the half Filipino in me wholeheartedly approves. The Sunset Tacos(chorizo on house-made corn tortillas) are amazing. I could easily tear down a dozen... emphasis on could. My belly would never forgive me. The baristas here are professional, the drinks are consistently on point, and when you're in a rush, their website makes ordering for pickup a breeze. We were staying the night in Huntington and I heard about this place as being a good place. I have to admit their coffee was really good and strong so I needed to add some more sugar and milk but earned that it was delicious. I really wish they had a better pastry selection, and that their items that they did sell were larger, but they did have minis in regular size. It was a little bit more of a price point than I would've liked, but it was really good. They had a crufin which is a mix between a croissant and a muffin mixed with Nutella. It was really good. I continue to give this place a second chance because I genuinely love their coffee. It's close to my house, and I really enjoy supporting local businesses. Unfortunately, the customer service is lacking every single time. Disappointed with the seasonal lattes. I got the strawberry latte today, and it came out cold in a cup full of ice. It doesn't say iced on the board, and I wasn't told it's cold. I assumed it's hot. Is cold the default temperature or hot? I thought hot is default unless specified ICED. If I knew it was cold I would have asked for no ice: does anybody want a cup full of ice with a couple ounces of latte? I don't. This place makes me feel at home. Excellent service, the staff is friendly and genuinely nice. The coffee is high-quality, it taste very good and it is smooth. I like the fact that they roast their own coffee beans in the unit directly next door to the shop. I've also seen that they have a kitchen back there, and they do cook up some very tasty food. I believe they bake their own bakery items as well. The muffins are delicious, and the burritos are extremely fresh and tasty. The burritos are not dry, and they're not stuffed with cheap ingredients like store-bought hashbrowns that other breakfast spots or coffee shops could be putting into the burritos. The salsa that comes with the burritos is also fire af. I feel that if I come here to get coffee and I don't get a burrito, I did a disservice to myself. I love coffee, and I pass dozens of coffee shops on my way to work that I've been to that I also like just to come to Succulent Coffee Roasters because they are above the rest.
