Something is almost always wrong with my order, and today is no exception. I've given this place so many second chances just because of the convenience. It's close to my home, easy to access, but I just don't know if I can handle my drink being made right only about 20% of the time. Previously, whipped cream was added to my drink for absolutely no reason despite me getting a soy milk latte, and when I asked the barista to remove the whipped cream because I'm lactose intolerant, I was told by the manager that it was MY responsibility to say "no whipped cream" instead of the trained staff to ask the client if they wanted whipped cream. The barista who made my drink that day gave me blatant eye rolls as well. It wasn't MY mistake, buddy. This morning, I ordered a short latte, and by the time I got home (because it was too hot to drink until then), I realized there wasn't any effing espresso in there. It was just steamed milk! The whole point of me ordering a short (8oz) instead of a tall (12oz) was so I could taste a stronger espresso flavor and not have it be drowned out by more milk. And instead I get to drink a $4 hot milk, like a child. There's a running joke between my wife and I that there is always something wrong with my order. Either they mixed up the flavorings, or they forgot to make it decaf, gave me regular milk, or they got the sizing wrong, or added whipped cream. Every time I press "place order" it's like gambling with my money. Will I get what I actually ordered, or will I get something completely different that will require me putting my shoes back on and going back there to feel like an a-hole while I watch them remake my order? I always update my review whenever something goes wrong. Like at a fairly empty visit on Sunday morning where I placed my mobile order 20+ minutes ago (a simple cold brew, nothing added), and the person making drinks ignored me when I said my name was Justina. She looked at the drinks and said, I have nothing for Christina. I tried to explain my name was Justina, but she ignored me. After another ten minutes, I let her know my mobile order was placed over 20 minutes ago. She asked to look at my order. Twice. I show her. She says, I don't know what happened, what is your drink? There is only ONE drink in the mobile area. She finally goes over to look at it and goes, OH Justina. Yeahhhh. I was TRYING to tell you that. I order my coffee the same way for 12-15 years. I described my order and they acknowledged that they understand. I want grande pike no room in venti cup that I do not throw coffee. I also want steamed half and half on top of it. She gave me coffee tat it was talk coffee in venti. She says I thought you said room. Why should I get grande coffee in venti cup if I want room. Then the other worker asks me what I want and she tells me she will charge me extra. When I drive down to Irvine I usually stop by this location to either get a green tea or an iced americano. Parking is pretty large it is shared by many different stores and this one is pretty nice inside. The only thing I would say is that the line to order the drinks and get your drinks is always long. I'm not sure why but maybe it is just a really popular spot. I don't really sit at this location because I am always going to another place but it seems like a good place to come and study in. Kayla was the girl who first got my she looked at me and with attitude said, "Rebecka wants this iced." And she murmured something to the girl next to her. My child stole my credit card to buy at stoorboock without my permission and it made me really angry I hope this place knows that child shouldn't be drinking these water things, it should be considered as alcohol. When I first found out about this, I was fuming with anger. But what made me even more mad was that the workers at Starbucks were trash!! My child really wanted a caramel frappacinno and some for his friends. When my husband found out, he had heart attack because of the price! In total the drugs were $20.49. *Reviewing the Study Environment* I normally don't review chains, but I've made a decision to review some of the places I study at so other students know what to expect when they come. I come to this Starbucks pretty regularly because its right across the street from where I live. It's always crowded, even on Saturday mornings! This past Saturday I came in bright and early at 7am, and there was already a line out the door. You can accuse Irvine residents about being many things, but lazy they are not. This location recently underwent a remodel where they closed down the place for a week. When it reopened I was surprised at the small changes they made. Gone are the mini round tables where you can study in peace by your lonesome. Instead, they brought in this really long 10-person table. I thought I would like it because it meant more table space, but when the place is jampacked and there's no where else to sit, the yappers want to sit at this table too. Can you imagine trying to study while others are trying to socialize... all on the same table?? It made more sense having the smaller, more intimate and private tables for people to lounge in. Also, it's now more difficult to find a plug around here. From that day forward, I vowed I would always bring earplugs to any study location. I've also decided that though I am a fan of Starbucks' pastries, breakfast items, and coffee (yes I admit it), I am going to study at Peet's from now on (it's just a few blocks north of this Starbucks). 4 stars for the consistently friendly service, speed, and efficiency of the baristas here. Ooh look, it's the fancy Starbucks. They serve clover-brewed coffee (whatever that means) for a premium, and have a large outdoor seating area. However, this is a very packed location. I've been here multiple times and each time there has been a large line and a long wait. The most recent time I came they messed up my drink, but to their credit they fixed it. One star because I went to the ladies room and it was absolutely filthy. No toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor. It's always a special treat coming to this location since I'm not native to Irvine. Super spacious, probably one of the biggest Starbucks I've been to, although seating inside never seems to be available but the outdoor seating is just as nice, if not the nicest of any Starbucks. The Baristas here are legit, speedy & courteous. It's nice seeing grown ass men working as opposed to young, hipster types (very refreshing) I always make it a point to visit when I'm in the area, or directly after my optometrist appointments. read more

AWESOME starbucks location!!! i have been coming here for years and they have never gotten my order wrong. they have literally a huge ass line quite often, however they go through the line so quickly and gets everyones order done well extremely quickly. i have even had questions about refilling my rewards card for point and they are very knowledgable. they not only take your order with a smile but if you're nice to them they may even converse with you when they're not busy. so nice! they recently remodeled the outdoor area so there is more tables and room! who doesnt love a newly remodeled area! not only do they have seats outside but also on the inside with comfy seats/sofas along with regular tables. there is a good amount of room, however this place is always packed usually with high school kids because its so close to the school and the free wifi! read more

First you made me and the other guy wait and you did not want to serve us. Second my coffee and his coffee has been sitting there a while and no hi or good morning or how this wack line works and third is this Starbucks racially profiling? The guy in front of me was Caucasian 6 ft + to the sky, and evenly proportional. Me short drastically under 6 ft, Asian, chunky and a tired mess. Why call me out when the old white guy was turning my drink his drink and making a lot of noise not get called out for reaching under the plexiglass. So here is some advice from other Starbucks I go to. Have someone handle out the drink instead 7 people trying to make drinks. I think you could spare 1 person to hand out drink more effectively. It suppose to be grab and go. And if you do something to one person your suppose to do that to everyone. Also I want to shout out to the old white lady by the door. She defended me. every time I come to this Starbucks I am greeted by friendly workers which is nice because I realize some of them open which is so early in the morning! Whether I order through the app or at the register my drink is always correct. I've never ordered during the 7-9am hours which I assume are the busy morning rush times, so I cannot review the service when it's really busy, but I've worked in food service so even if it takes a little time to get an order finished I'll never be bitter about it. Some people can over exaggerate their reviews when they're hangry. Hang in their, you'll get your coffee. As for studying inside it might be a little difficult to find seating unless you're okay with the outdoor patio. Overall this is a rather pleasant Starbucks to visit! Good Starbucks outlet! There is a fairly good amount of seating here but as a famous baseball movie character once said: if you build it, they will come. So, that basically creates a big "study hall" where the free wi-fi and a Venti beverage create a gridlocked set of tables and chairs. As far as Starbucks go, the place is not great nor bad. At least from my experience, the drinks and service are pretty standard across all other starbucks in the area. The front cashier people here are no different. They are nice enough and are quick to help you out with making a decision. What really sells this place to me is that, the place was designed for studying and working. As a student, this place is great place to study. There are outlets everywhere, and you will always find people sitting here to study for upcoming tests and whatnot. They even have outdoor seating with ADDITIONAL outlets. I have all the power at my fingertips!!! Muahahahaha... But in all seriousness, all the other starbucks in the area don't really have the tables or furniture for you to sit down and work. This place is especially useful during the weekend when you are trying to find a place to work late into the evening. All the libraries are closed at 5 pm usually, and this place stays open till 11 both on Saturday and Sunday. It does get a bit loud because of all the traffic comming in and out, but you can just use headphones and you will be golden. My one beef is that the place is unusually cold, which is a blessing or curse depending on how you see it. Its nice when its hot outside(but that means more people are sitting indoors, so its harder to find a seat). So bring a longsleeve or a light jacket just in case you are proned to getting cold easily. read more

This store has a Clover Brewer, which I had wanted to try for a while. This brew method takes a while longer than the regular drip, but for my money, the result is worth it.
