I love their products. I love how they set up places to sit and talk. This is a very special place for some healthy food and drinks. Except one thing, It is too loud when they turn on those blenders!!! We have to sit outside because of the noise. The noise destroys the cool atmosphere they are trying to promote. In a perfect world, they could find a way to blend the drinks in the back room, and offer free wyfi for guests to use. They could create some food items like sandwiches and salads, and make the place a real destination for the guests. Coffee and boba would be awesome. The place would. be packed all day long. Acai Banana Berry Bowl! Yummy! I've been on the hunt for some good ACAI bowls and Nekter was a good choice to try out. I don't recommend Protein Power Bowl - personally I did not enjoy the taste. I am biased though since I am always a fan of ACAI bowl. The ACAI consistency was a bit loose for me; however the portion was more here compare to a couple other places. Banana, strawberries and even BLUEBERRIES were included. Fruits were in good portions. You can ask for granolas on the side. I loved how well their to-go packages were with my orders. Staff were always friendly and welcoming/smiling whenever I came to pick up my order so that was nice too. The wait was good - not too short or too long. I've been coming to this Nékter for 8 years and have never been disappointed by the staff's kindness and quality of their smoothies!! Today I came in for my chocolate pb smoothie that I love. I would've gave this place a 1 star but my wife said that her drink (pink flamingo) was good but my experience wasn't the most pleasant. The young lady that greeted and took my order, was nice. I'm assuming she was new/newer because she didnt know how to do the discounts. And the girl that was making my bowl told me that something wasn't included in my drink when it clearly was shown on the menu. My drink was "AWFUL" and "TASTELESS." I got the protein powder bowl. I've been to places such as Earthbowl, Everbowl and even other Nektar locations, but that by far was the worst bowl I've ever had. I will probably stick to the Lake Forest location going forward and Earthbowl. I came back to update the review. Because of per management, I contacted the customer service (when I feel they should reach out not the consumer going out the way) through email and haven't heard back at all. Called ahead to ensure they were actually open. They told me they were open until 9. I asked if they closed early and they told me specifically they do not close until 9pm. I drove 14 miles while sick since this is the only location open. When I arrive at 8:26pm the guy who claims to be the manager upfront but won't give me his name claims they don't serve fresh juices after 8:30. Even when I point out it's not 8:30 yet and that I called ahead he looks at me stunned but doesn't offer an apology but has smirk answers and basically tells me "not my problem. The stuff already in bleach". This is after I tells him I called and spoke to someone and that I drove 14 miles. I don't know who is training these people these days. But I can't recall ever being able to give poor customer service like this and not be reprimanded. Especially for the 30+ minutes of business lost. My go-to juice is always the Toxin Flush. For smoothies, I always get the Mango Delight, and I substitute the pineapple for kale (it's so good and refreshing!). I tried the Super Berry Oats today as I saw the in-app deal, which offered $2 for oats with the purchase of a juice, smoothie, or bowl (it's basically just a $1.95 discount).
