This Starbucks is busy during the mornings! (which one isn't) The line moves pretty fast and service is good. It's close to work and best of all...it has a drive through! I give Starbucks employees props I don't think I would be able to deal to the demanding, rude, obnoxious caffeine/sugar craving customers as well as you do! Geesh, I went in because the drive thru line was long. All of a sudden this large woman came stomping in, to the front of the line demanding her order! She almost jumped up n down like a child. It was really very offensive and I'm glad I see Starbucks as a treat and not an addiction! They gave her the drink at no charge...I guess just to keep her happy. As a former barista I find no excuse in taking 10 min to make a latte for the third customer in line. Before I walked to the bar to get my drink I saw at least three cars go past the drive-thru window, which shows me at least the drive thru baristas work hard, but didn't help my in-store experience. It only made me more frustrated as a walk in costumer. The in-store barista I had had no sense of urgency and a lackadaisical, apathetic personality. Now I'm sitting here in my office with expired shots in my latte. Terrible experience. read more

The five stars is for the the baristas at this store at around 8pm on the 5/26. The order taker named Josh and the other guy behind the counter were moving the line as quickly as possible despite being obviously short staffed. Is the owner on Mars or just chosing to turn a blind eye at how busy drive thrus have become and how some customers have become even more impatient since the pandemic and that short staffing and having their dining room open is an obvious gross under appreciation of the employees who have decided to stay on board when so many of their other associates, I'm sure, have decided to jump ship. The least the owner could do is let their loyal employees do their job with reasonable accommodation like, umm, having more than 3 people working? LMAO. DO BETTER! I love this Starbucks. The staff here is the best anywhere. The manager has assembled a great team that works quickly and delivers great customer service and an upbeat atmosphere. I have been complaining about their wireless connection for a long time and they finally upgraded to the Google from the lousy AT&T. Another reason to love this location. That being said they lose one star and not because of anything they did. It was the corporate office that did it. This location recently underwent a remodel. I like the new decor, but Starbucks does not ask the employees for input, because all of them know that in the afternoon everyone keeps moving around to avoid the sun that pours through the windows. The blinds are no help. They used to have three tables that never got the sun and these were prized seats to have. The remodel eliminated these and now there is no place to hide from the brutal sun pouring through those windows in the afternoon. They also added the higher tables that I hear everyone complaining about. Most people seem to want to work at the lower tables. A simple poll of customers and employees could prevent corporate blunders like this in future. I am so sad that Starbucks just ruined my favorite place. I am now forced to go to another Starbucks that offers a lower level of customer service. read more

Very bad service from the overweight dude who took my order in the drive thru. . He left my frap sitting by the register for 5 min while attending another customer in the drive thru . . To top it off my frap was all watery and taste very nasty . . I seen him transfer my drink to another cup for no reason . . Will not be returning to this location i would rather drive 3 miles down the road. read more

This place deserves zero stars.. employees are rude and gossip in front of customers. There can be a line of people and they gossip about their vacation. Gossip should be kept in their lunch off the clock time, not when customers are in line waiting to order. Pregnant girl taking orders around 11am. Is very rude and bothered to take your order. Always asks for your order and asks if your sure about your order! Wtf? When asked about new drinks doesn't know what you are talking about and calls someone else for help! Asks for a certain drink and asks you what's in it? Why are we paying 6 to 7 dol for a drink where I have to walk you thru how to make. AWFUL!!! read more

I used to work at Starbucks and I know how difficult it can be to wake up at 2 am for the opening shift and still be able to function and keep a smile on my face during the stressful rush of customers in the early morning. I live in Azusa and work in Upland, so on days when I'm having a hard time waking up, it is always so easy to drive thru starbucks and get my regular, a hot salted caramel mocha and still make it to work on time. I have gone through this drive thru before work at least 5 times, and even when there are 10 cars in front of me in the drive-thru, they are fast, friendly and efficient. I used to go to the Starbucks drive thru by my work in upland and would end up sitting in the drive-thru for so long to the point of being late for work, and half the time, the espresso shots in my drink were expired. I have fallen in love with the Irwindale location, it is now the store I prefer to go to everytime. Keep up the good work. read more

So I just went to this Starbucks not so long ago !! & it's amazing love the service . Me & my friend went to pick up an order we did over the phone & we actually went to the wrong one lol . So we were helped out by a guy named primo if I'm not wrong & he helped us out & made sure we got our drinks even though it was our fault . I've been going to this location for over a year now and sometimes I ask myself why do I come back? Maybe it's the convenience of the drive thru but otherwise I wouldn't be coming back. I've order a chai Thai latte with soy numerous times but instead of getting the drink I order, I am constantly guessing what I got. Once it was a mocha latte another time a latte but what upsets me most is when I pay extra for soy and not get soy. Today I ordered a Carmel macchiato and wanted to use my phone to pay because I had an extra reward. Right when I got to the window I handed my phone to pay. I was rudely told that their server was down and asked if I had my card with me. I told her no. I only have it on my phone without really saying anything she just grabbed my phone and told another co-worker that from now on they had to tell the people at drive thru that they can't accept payments on the phone because the server was down. I understand that servers break down and understand that the store was busy but simply saying "sorry for the long wait but right now our server is down. Do you have another form of payment?" But instead it was quick and rude. The funny things is, is I've worked at Starbucks a couple of years ago and I know this isn't their company ways of taking care of their costumers. read more

The service gets 5 Stars! I frequent this Starbucks as I'm coming to work early am. Steve is usually working the drive-thru and has been very friendly and kind since Day 1. I usually order decaf due to heart problems and one day when I felt like living on the edge ordered regular. Steve double checked with me if I was sure! The short woman with brown hair behind the counter is rude, and she has no restraint when it comes to voicing her displeasure with the situation. I believe (but hope I'm wrong) she is the manager. I arrived 5 minutes early to pick up my coffee traveler. You would have thought I had socked her the indignant way she spoke to me. Beware, stay away from this woman. I always come to this Starbucks because It's close to where I live and I love the way they do my coffee. The service is great about 90% of the time, there's times that you will get an employee who wont say hello or smile at all. But, the last couple times I've been there they gave me my coffee and said "Thank you have a great night" and I said "I'm sorry but you guys haven't charged me for my drinks". The first time I had ordered 3 drinks and they almost let me go without charging me if I hadn't reminded the girl. The last times it was just one drink. I don't like taking advantage of people so I had to let the girls know. They said "Oh my gosh thank you soo much someone else would have just driven by without paying" Needless to say I'll be coming back for some Coffee! read more
