The seating area was nice, and we were greeted warmly by the staff, which made the place seem promising. However, as soon as we saw the dull green color of our matcha latte, we could tell it wasn't very good quality. When we tried it, the matcha flavor was lacking and it tasted mostly like milk. My friends got the mango matcha and strawberry matcha, but the strawberry puree tasted a bit off. Unfortunately, we really wanted to like this place, but the matcha was disappointing.

Even starbucks offers refills on regular old black coffee. My husband used to enjoy going in to work on college or read so it was sad to not be able to refill his coffee. The espresso is still good (usually) and the pastries are good. The food items are also tasty. The seating and overall vibe is wonderful, and the workers are nice (the older staff are my fave tho!). They are still my favorite for a london fog, but I stop by less often now.

OMG, this is a new find and I love this place!…read more This has quickly become one of my favorite cafes in the east side. The vibe is peaceful, aesthetic, calm, and welcoming, the baristas are incredibly kind, and the drinks are consistently excellent. So far I tried their matcha latte with almond milk and monk fruit and it was tasty, and then also had their version of the shaken espresso. The baristas aren't snobby and willing to customize your drink to fit your preferences which is great! They also have Wi-Fi if you need to work, cute merch, and plenty of space to relax. It's one of those places where you walk in and immediately feel better. I'll definitely be back again and again!

I'm basically a purist and am detoxing from too much sugary drinks so with a simple order thought it'd be fast...Taiwan Soring Tea no sugar no toppings...just tea he says...yup! Gave him $6.30 since it was $6.28 and next thing I know he was checking on what seems like a new staff and didn't give my change lol! It's two cents and not a big deal but just was watching it all was exhausting though it took longer than expected I got my drink and though they do have some seating in this cozy shop I had more errands to do. Not a dealbreaker, (but kind of expensive at $4.75 per cup- free refills). My sandwich wasn't stellar because they forgot the cheese that I requested, but I also forgot to order it on a bun instead of regular toasted bread, so it already had one strike against it. But that was my bad. Service was great and local vibe really nice. And speaking of camping, the café sells 20 pound bags of ice for $5. I think that's a pretty good deal and convenient if you're already having a meal there. Not sure how much they sell them for at Times Market next door, but I discovered that they have a small section of camping and fishing gear at the market that's very convenient to the area.
