This location is a very close to my job, so I come here when I need breakfast on the way into work. Their opening at this location was a little rough, long wait in drive thru and my latte was only 3/4 full . The staff that was manning the drive thru at that time was not very personable looked quite flustered. I was there today, and I think their finally getting it... Wait during drive thru was not long at all, my order was correct full Latte to the rim and I was thanked and wished for me to have a nice day. Wow...what a 360....They must of read some of the reviews on Yelp about their lacking customer service. My visit today just reminds me why I go to Butlers Coffee a few exits down, or Coffee Bean at Parkway. I can hear a customer at the pickup area complaining about something and then proceeds to continue on with her conversation with another customer for the next few minutes. So instead of coming right up to the register, she takes her sweet time and proceeds to cut me off as I was patiently waiting in line. I'm up next but please lady, go right ahead. You're only a grown woman and obviously never learned or were taught manners the 70+ years you've been on this planet. So I'm up and of course she pony's right up to the register and proceeds to demand all her drinks for free and her whole order refunded to her Starbucks card. So the cashier finally does and the line gets moving. I tried to sympathize and apologize to the cashier for that lady's behavior, and the cashier doesn't even smile, laugh, say thank you, she just rolls her eyes at me and defends the lady's actions. So I move over to wait for my drink, and a different customer, a grown man, goes right to the pick up counter and demands his drink be re made and HIS Starbucks card be refunded as well!?!?! What is wrong with people!?!? News flash people......just cause you live on, near, close to, can see "Mt. Helix", doesn't give you the right to treat people that way. Have some manners, some class. You wanna act that way, buy a long haired poodle and move to LA. Trust me, no one here will care, nor miss you. This is my experience after 2 weeks of coming to this new Starbucks location (drive -thru only) I've been here about a good 4 or 5 times and 4/5 the times they have always been out of something I've ordered. I decided to give this location a shot since it's closer to the freeway and a shorter line but it's a really slow drive -thru and I think they are still getting the hang of things. They've been out of white chocolate mocha syrup and the classic oatmeal on different occasions so it was sort of inconvenient. I am not super picky as I ordered something else instead but I think I'll go back to the other Starbucks on Jamacha because they have never really run out of the things I usually order. 2 stars for the sweet girls but I probably won't be back read more

Dude. My order took like FOREVER and it was only a triple espresso. I love Starbucks, I REALLY DO but this was horrible. I'm not exaggerating - my order literally took fifteen minutes and it wasn't even rush hour morning coffee - it was mid-afternoon Mother's Day coffee. No excuses. She was barking orders at other baristas, complaining about needing something from the back, and never even apologized for me having to wait? this location has the worst customer service. i ordered a drink that i literally always get and right when they handed it to me i already knew it wasn't right (and it wasn't). i asked them to remake it, restated my order and they really just put the same drink in a different cup and added a couple pumps of classic acting like i didn't notice. I have never had such an all-around terrible experience as today at this Starbucks location. I noticed from now reviewing their post most people agree. Save yourself a crappy start to your day and go to a different location. Everyone in there is unhelpful and some are bordering on rude. also if you are ordering a cold iced coffee, be sure to actually ask for them to put ice in it otherwise they give you a lot of attitude when you are wondering why there is no ice. You must apparently actually asked for the ice. Also if you're getting multiple drinks do not expect them to be ready at the same time. Another strange thing was I tried to order ahead online but they could not be located in the app. So I parked when inside asked her what the name of the location was because I could not Located in the app and she said oh we have order ahead turned off. But then while I was waiting for my drink three people came and picked up orders they had placed through the app?? Like I said a horrible experience I'll never be back. read more

I was so excited this morning after leaving the drive thru with a drink that was made CORRECTLY! I have been to about 10 different Starbucks and each time they fail, except today! Thank you to whoever made my Grande latte with nonfat milk and no foam this morning around 7ish! The sad thing is I know my request for no foam is common but I have had to almost beg at times at other locations to have no foam yet I still end up with foam. Almost one year since my last updated review , this is place #1 I visit in San Diego , its near my house and I had a long year preparing and getting my IT certifications and this where I study , a lot of things changed during time , I dont recognize any of Baristas who used to work here since writing my last feedback whom most of them used to work in the old location which I am still sad they closed it , plenty of new faces , recently most of my visits are drive through so not much going inside , WIFI improved for sure , waiting time improved also less waiting for drinks and less drive through waiting as well , everything seems to be good , Nice location to enjoy a sunny day , downside is its always crowded , I know people drive 20 minutes to this one which makes no sense for me , a lot of teenagers who study for 10 minutes and fool around for the rest 6 hours and occupy tables , 4 friends come together but occupy 4 tables?!! so let me premise this by saying i am a barista also, so i don't like to criticize unless it's something that really upset me as another barista not a customer. i come here literally everyday for coffee before i head to work. this morning was unfortunate and i hope it is not a reoccurring issue. i went up and i ordered like normal which is a venti hot vanilla latte with breve. and as always they repeat it to me to make sure it's correct and when it is i move on. this morning i got up to the window to pay and she double checked again and said "you got the venti hot vanilla latte with breve right?" and as always i said yes! so i pay and she hands me the drink and when i get it it seems light. so i left and i headed to work. i did not have the time to go back if it was wrong. but as i got to work i go and check the drink just in case and sure enough it's not only the wrong drink, but it's barely over half full. i'm so extremely disappointed right now. and on top of that i now don't have coffee because what they gave me is hot chocolate. read more

If i could leave zero i would. i went in today to get my usual order. i normally pre order via mobile app due to the line being so big all the time. i was waiting for a worker to come help me for about 5-10 min because they were supper busy. EMILY came up and asked me if i was waiting on something and i let her know i pre order my two drinks. she informed me they don't have my order. and i proceeded to show her my confirmation via the app. She then Rolled her eyes at me and told me are you sure its the right location. i then showed her the confirmation which had the location and drinks and it stated it was order about 5-8 min before me arriving. she then told me well i can't do anything about it. i let her know it was placed but not picked up from me. she then told me with much attitude and rudeness that i will have to order again. AND PAY AGAIN EVEN THOUGH I NEVER GOT MY ORDER In the first PLACE. i just think it was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL of her to speak to me that way when i had been nothing but nice and understanding of the situation. i just felt like her attitude was un called for and i don't think i should have paid for another order. read more

This place has really stepped up its game. I've noticed a considerable improvement in customer service speed and enthusiasm over the last month or so. The partners seem a lot more engaged and even refer to regulars by name. There are still hiccups every now and then but totally within reason. read more

The opening and expansion of this new Starbucks is exactly what we needed in the Rancho San Diego area! It's perfect for studying (except the wifi isn't too great yet) and the location is great since it's very central and close to almost everything. I have been here a couple of times and have had similar experiences as I've read in previous reviews about the baristas not being too friendly but I had just brushed it aside since it's a new location and I figured they just needed time to get used to everything. Unfortunately, my experience today was just a little too ridiculous for me to not say something about. So, I went through the drive thru and ordered my drink, a venti iced coffee with vanilla and half & half. There were 2 cars in front of me and after I ordered I pulled up a little bit and was literally waiting in the exact same spot for at least 10 minutes. We didn't move an inch and honestly, I'm a pretty patient person but the point of a drive thru is to get your item faster, rather than parking, and standing in line and waiting (I was better off just doing that). Anyway, by the time I pulled up to the window it had been close to 20 minutes of me waiting and when I got there it took like 2 minutes to even be acknowledged. Finally the window opened, the barista told me my total (did not apologize for the wait) and I paid for my drink. Then, I waited again for my drink, which I assumed wasn't even made yet. When the windows opened again, he was holding two grande cups and said, "Here's your venti iced coffee." I don't even know what look I gave him but at this point I was just very confused and I responded saying "Those are two grande cups." He then explained (very rudely) that they were out of venti cups and I told him that I was by myself and it would be very inconvenient for me to have two grande cups filled to the brim with coffee when I didn't have anyone to give it to. He just gave me a blank stare and I kid you not I was really at a loss for words because I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with an extra cup of coffee and why he couldn't have told me this when I ordered. I totally understand running out of venti cups, this happens all the time, but when it does they either tell me that they're out of venti cups when I'm ordering (so that I can pay the price of a grande) or, they give me my drink in a Trenta. Word of advice: let your customers know beforehand if they aren't going to be getting what they asked for din order to improve customer satisfaction read more

I loved the idea of the convenience of a drive thru, as the old location a few yards away didn't have one. However... This is the worst service I've ever had at a Starbucks bar none! Been there 3 times and all visits were bad. No one seemed to care about anyone's order both in a timely manner or quality and cheerfulness. Customers were literally rolling their eyes at each other. The thing that really did it for me was that at the drive thru, my drink order - which is quite complicated honestly - I was trying to be helpful and explain it & make it easier to understand, & was met with... and I QUOTE.... "yeah, yeah, I got it" and then clicked off the mic. WTH?!!! Rude beyond belief!! And guess what... my drink was not correct!!! Maybe had she listened for literally 15 seconds more...
