This place is always so clean, the coffee has always been great, and the staff is probably the nicest of any Starbucks I have ever been to. I think one of them is even attempting to learn my order (which is always the best feeling in the world, regardless if they learn it or not -- it's the thought that counts). It's an especially nice spot if you go to RFUMS, as the place is huge with tons of outlets and tables for studying. So I've been coming to this place for a while now. I finally decided to write a review after an incident where I embarrasingly dropped my coffee like an idiot, and one of the staff members rushed to help. She was incredibly nice about it, and I finally felt that not only she, but also the entire staff and establishment deserved some praise. ----- Updated Nov 2014: Since they have moved to the new location, I have significantly disliked coming to this Starbucks. The parking is the absolute worst. It's difficult to get into, and it's difficult to get out of as well. Sadly, the staff do not seem as helpful or responsive as they were at the old place. I am currently in the drive thru at this Starbucks. Been here so long I thought I'd hop on my phone and just leave a review. I almost never come to this Starbucks because every time - same problem - the drive thru takes an absolute eternity for a drink. But I keep thinking...maybe it's better? I come to this Starbucks on a regular basis and know at least 1/2 the staff that work here. Most importantly, they are all friendly (even the ones I don't know) but they also have gotten my complicated order right every single time. The new location is great, drive through is convenient. I will continue to come here to get my cafe latte frappuccinos which is the most delicious drink ever. read more

Let me start of by saying that the people that work here are very sweet and I enjoy talking with them, I'm an ex partner of 5 years, I even worked at one down the road from this location so I even get the difficult clientele. So I'm going to say this with as much understanding as I can The drinks here are horrible. I would say 80% of them are made wrong(trust me I get very simple drinks) every time I order a tea lemonade they never ever shake it. As an ex partner I know the difference in look and taste when they done shake it. If it was busy I would get it, but they do it when they are really slow. And the few times I do ask them to shake it, they do the hand swirl motion and give it back When I got a latte the other day it was legit room temperature.how is that even possible? To make a latte you have to pull the shots and steam the milk right away so it boggles the mind how that would happen. EVERY time I order my drink room temperature, I get it scalding hot. I hate using the "I used to work for sbux" but it's only because I GET IT. That job can be rough. But what I don't like is how consistent they are with their terrible drinks and their complete lack of caring how it's made. Taking short cuts when you're busy is ok, but being lazy just for the sake of being lazy is frustrating. I think everyone at the store is nice, just put more effort into making each drink right! read more

This location is always busy. Drive thru isnt always that fast alot of the times. When i asked if the cake pops were home made i was told yes at the intercom. I get to the front and the girl said no "they are brought in". UM SOMEONE IS LYING. So i tried it anyway and it tasted like shit. A big dense dry cake pop is what it was. Went to get coffee this afternoon. The coffee was great and the person working the drive thru was good. Look out for the girl actually brewing.... she was having a personal conversation while I waited. When the drive thru person asked if it was ready she barked at him. I think she said something like "STOP HOVERING" I just want my coffee but they should and not have to see or hear this. No very professional! read more

Usually good drinks -if they know what they're making. Sent my boyfriend in to get me a salted caramel mocha. Only we forgot the "salted" part while ordering. So between the barista and my bf they couldn't find the drink on the menu "salted caramel mocha" what did he suggest ? A caramel machiatto. Not the worst drink but not An Effing Mocha at all!!!! The longest wait ever, no matter the time of day. Most of the time my drink is completely wrong or just tastes bad. There are some baristas who are friendly, but a fair amount who are not. I try to avoid going here but when I am desperate it's close to work so I go here. read more

Worst Starbucks I've ever been too. Parking lot is way too small. Drive thru takes forever. Inside is dirty and dark, and its a brand new store. Employee rolled her eyes at me and sighed heavily when I asked for decaf coffee because it meant she had to make a fresh pot. read more

People working here are so nice and they always greet me when I go in there. I usually use mobile order so I don't have to wait for my coffee. It's usually ready by the time I get there. The downside: parking. This is not an issue for me because I get my coffee when I walk but there isn't a lot of parking lot and cars going through drive-thru can block your car. read more

First time at this location. I was looking for reserve beans and they had them so I drove down. What I did not know is that they have the clove machine to brew any coffee including reserve coffees to order. The woman brewing my cup gave me a tutorial of the machine and sat me at the bar as she prepared my coffee so I could soak up all the delicious aromas. She was very nice and went well out of her way to explain the process to me. There was also another male employee who was very nice and helpful to assist me choose my reserve coffee. Kinda of an odd smaller location but top notch experience thanks to the staff. I will make it a point to stop by again such a great experience Im very impressed. read more

No amount of caffeine will help you recover from this Starbucks nightmare!!!! Most convoluted Drive Thru ever. I am not joking it took me 15minutes to get 1 drink. Horrible drive thru and service. Save yourself a lot of trouble and just park and walk in to one of the 2 Lake Forest locations. You'll get your caffeine buzz on much faster!!!! read more

The new location is inconvenient. The parking lot is horrible. The staff take up 1/2 of the lot and there is no where to park. The line for the drive thru spills onto WAUKEGAN IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, AN ACCIDENT WAITNG TO HAPPEN. The manager refused to give me the district managers name and phone number when I asked. Can't wait for Dunkin Donuts to open!!! read more

As an avid Starbucks drinker, it was nice to see that one would be so close to home. I do go there frequently due to convenience, but ONLY because of that. On multiple occasions I've felt as if the customer service is mediocre and the drink's are average. THIS TIME, happened to be the worst: Tip to Starbucks employees, your drive thru is not a hang out, social hour where your friends come and talk to you through the speaker and window. Person in front of me didn't even get a drink was just talking with his friend who was working. Meanwhile there were cars beginning to pile up behind me. It took me 15 at Starbuck drive through with only that one car in front of me because of the kids who were socializing. Starbucks employee, tell your friends to either come inside and sit down or see you later because the entire reason of drive thru is to be 'quick and convenient.' I worked for Starbucks for two and a half years! I learned a lot from working for such a big company such as the fact that your team is only as strong as your weakest link. Unfortunately the weakest part of my team is my manager so I quit. I have been a "non-partner" for a little over a month now and I went in to collect my last check. It was a bittersweet moment knowing it would be the last check I would get as a Starbucks partner but it was going towards buying Christmas presents for my son and my family so it made it all worthwhile. As I'm catching up with my previous coworkers I open my check expecting for my vacation hours to be payed out. But there was nothing!!! No money to put in the bank means no Christmas presents for me and my family!!! I was shocked and when I asked my manager about it she made excuses about why I'm still technically employed by Starbucks and why she did not do her job as a manager and take me out of the system! So now my Christmas shopping is impossible because Starbucks decided to not listen to the many complaints about her and allow her to continue to run the store into the ground and taking all the employees along with it!!!
