I have ordered from this Starbucks daily for 2+ years. Have literally spent thousands at this particular location. I order, my husband grabs our coffee and this is how we start our day. Today, coffee was supposed to be ready by 6:24. Husbands comes home at 6:40 empty handed. They said they never got our order- but it's clear as day on my phone. My husband turned and left - Marissa claims she was going to offer to remake them but that he left. Why didn't she stop him or why didn't those words come out of her mouth? She stood there and looked it him saying nothing, so he turned and left. I go down there and show them my phone and that we did in fact order (why would we lie about that?). Marissa, said they would make my coffee. Liam said I yelled at them, which is condescending and rude. Just because I am an assertive female and refuse to get ripped off by Starbucks. I had to ask if they were going to "make it right" since I just lost 30minutes from my morning. She hands me a $4 coffee card. Extra insulting considering I spend a minimum of $12 a day (which includes their $2 tip). I gave it back to her. It's really a bummer that I can buy from this Starbucks daily and they couldn't even comp my AM coffee for their mess up. The only nice person in the bunch is the chin length silver haired lady. My whole AM wrecked because these folks are rude to their regular customers. I would give a negative 1 star if I could. read more

If you are looking for the typical Starbuck's building, you will probably drive right by. The Starbuck's on State Street is in a quaint looking cottage and that same vibe Carrie's inside. Drinks, food offerings and service is all as one would expect from a Starbucks. There is plenty of parking as they share parking with other stores in this little strip mall across from the State Theater, a short stroll to the village of Lake O where all the shops are located. There is no drive through but you can order through the app if you are short on time. Be aware they close at 6pm. read more

What a mess. I called in a coffee traveler the night before to pick up at 6:15am. The "coffee" traveler was ready, but I had to wait 15 minutes for a latte....in an empty restaurant at 6:15 in the morning. I then arrive at my event and we discover that the coffee traveler that I called in the night before is filled with hot water.....hot $&*#$ water. You cant make this up. Never again. read more

i love this place so much, Starbucks is good but this one is the best one I've bean to. I come down here almsot everyday with my freinds and we see our favorite employee liz, they great us ask how we are then take our order. they make drinks quick and delicious. I sit in the Starbucks for probably at least an hour every day I go there. and I just talk with my freinds, come in and out along the day and it goes good. they have amazing customer service. this place is truly my favorite Starbucks ever, highly recommen!! read more

Along with the other Starbucks on OR-43, this one is instead squarely in Lake O, right across from the funky State Theater, not far from the lake itself, not far from the quaint historic village, and in a shopping center along State Street that has enough parking because it is shared with other merchants. Pull on in! This isn't a historic building, but it does look like it belongs in the English countryside ... sort of. It looks like a big country house. And, once you go inside, you'll see how homey it is, even though I don't think homies are found in Lake Oswego. It's not as comfortable and spacious as the store I reviewed in (north) West Linn, but the service was more on point. There, I said it. I also believe that, consistent with other places along this roadway, they might not stay open as late in the evenings. Their offerings are standard and reliable. The service was friendly. The atmosphere is great. And, with not as high of a Stepford quotient as I would have imagined, there was some interesting diversity. Obviously, some people were employees in the area, some were picking up something to eat and drink while motoring through, some were studying, but the icing on the cake was a somewhat animated discussion by a few ladies speaking their multisyllabic and melodious Japanese and having a few good chuckles. Good stuff. Part of the coffeehouse formula is people watching, am I right? This Starbucks in Lake O is not a run of the mill 3 star Starbucks. In my mind, it's definitely a 4 star Starbucks, but then tony Lake O is not a 3 star sort of place. If in this area and in need of a caffeine fix and/or a homey place for a hot beverage, this store is recommended. read more

I have been to this Starbucks location many times. The new remodel is nice and I like the booth seating by the windows. This location is in a great area with quite a few shops nearby and a Whole Foods 365 in the back of the parking lot. When I'm in town I stop by at least once a day to get my unsweetened black tea and it's always made the right way. Add to that the friendly service and this location is a winner! :) read more

It's a Starbucks people. What can I say that might make this one stand out from any other Starbucks? Nothing. The staff is nice. There is free Wifi. They have a variety of seating both inside and out. They have parking. They serve one of America's biggest addiction. Yes it is a Starbucks but it is not your typical location. No no no my friends this is where the beautiful people come to have coffee right after their power walk or their hot yoga or their morning squash match. Here is where the Weeds housewifes of the world collide. Its like a secret socitey bring your water bottle and your Iphone or they will recognize you as an outsider. A fellow customer seemed bothered that i say near him as he had set up his Star Office spreading out over two tables and four seats. Sorry i didnt know you had this area reserved for clients only. Lol. The snooty of the world have found their clubhouse it resides on State street. Pretty typical little Starbucks. I had to kill some time while the husband was in a job interview, so I popped in here for a coffee. There seemed like an adequate amount of seating; the seats are just tucked into corners a bit. The place was pretty packed for a Tuesday morning, but I didn't have a problem snagging a table. Customer service was nice, nothing too special. I do wish the girl would have asked if I wanted room for cream in my coffee, but I guess that could be my bad for not specifying. I don't recommend this Starbucks location. Two days ago it was the second time they made a mistake on my mobile order.My drink was ready but food was not.I asked to the staff about my order and she said They didn't received food order and she said I probably didn't order it!!! so I checked the receipt on my phone and sure I did order it. Not the biggest space inside but there's tons of parking available outside! Despite its size they've managed to squeeze in a fireplace. The warmth is much appreciated on the coldest winter days. However I have noticed the corners feeling extra cold as the 8pm early-close approaches. Baristas are friendly here -- most customers are friendly right back. If you need to plug in you may be out of luck. The outlet count is minimal. Overall a good place to grab a coffee before a movie at the Lake Theater across the street. read more

No more venti/large waters allowed! I just spent $15 at this location and was told I could not have a large water. Apparently they don't know how to order enough big cups and run out when people ask for water. The solution is, of course, to get two medium waters and a drink carrier. read more

I have been to this café many times over the years, and prefer it in its previous more spacious form. It gets a lot of traffic, so is not really a place to read or linger unless you like high traffic places. They remember your name here now, which is the standard thing, but since I remember cafes in the 90s as being places where people would leave me alone from asking all about my personal life, my name, my weekend plans, where I am from, I find all the friendliness unnerving. I often think they don't really think about the fact that someone in their 30s maybe doesn't feel like chit chatting with a 19 year old as if we are good friends. After all, adults have different habits of mind, like sometimes we just think silently? Or maybe we have private lives that are mysterious. Or maybe we don't like giving our first name. As a friend of mine says, "When I go to a cafe or restaurant, it is like a cloak of invisibility. I don't go there for display." I think perhaps in the old days, people understood that a dining or drinking experience was enhanced by simulated privacy, which is broached at the patron's discretion, not the server's. Who wants to be looked at and heard when having a private conversation, or started at while reading or studying? While you expect to be seen, you don't expect to be "on display" unless-- well, unless you are an adolescent. So my supposition is that this trend is the ultimate in the forced adolescence of our culture, when there is virtually no place you are not displaying yourself to your benefit or lack thereof every second you are not in your house, and you should have the roster of conversation topics and your first name open to every comer. When I was a child, the first name was for kids, and the grownups, (I am a grownup now) get to be called Mr. or Mrs. or some variation of that that is not a Christian first name. Sometimes they are too busy to chat you up though, which is a relief, and then they are just a cup of joe. read more
