Worst Starbucks ever. I only ever go to Starbucks over a local coffee spot due to the convenience of a drive thru. But this one...good grief...it's so slow. The drive thru took 25 minutes at 3pm with 3 cars in front of me. I ordered a cloud macchiato-nope-out of stock. Got an iced americano instead-lid wasn't on, and it was full to the brim, so it spilled all over my hand and cup holder. I go inside and ask for another cup and explain what happened and all I got were blank stares. Get it together people. It's Starbucks, not NASA. Sheesh. read more

I feel like this may be the most qualified I have ever been to write a review. Over the last 2 years, I have given this Starbucks hundreds of times to prove me wrong. I have spent thousands of dollars here and continue to be disappointed with not only the product, but the customer service. At least 1/3 of my trips result in them being out off Stevia, which is a very relevant form of sugar substitute in 2020 and inexcusable to be out of so often. In addition, they're constantly out of others things (muffins, pastries, etc.) and rarely follow online order instructions for customizations. When you ask them to change it, you are met with rude replies and the employees freeze - like they have never been asked to correct an order. Finally, timeliness is absurd. I live 6 miles from this Starbucks. I will order from home prior to even leaving and 18 minutes later, my order isn't complete. Today will be my last experience. I went though the drive thru and ordered a coffee frap light. I am postpartum and breastfeeding a medically fragile child so my sugar intake has to be precise. I was handed a full sugar one with no whip (if they weren't trying to make me think this is a "light", why wasn't there the whip? There is whip in the regular recipe). I asked for them to remake it and I was met with a rude young man who told me "um we don't make that. We don't carry that anymore." Well, that would have been nice to know when I ordered it in the drive thru so I could order something else. When I asked him to throw it away for me, he refused. I am done with this terrible Starbucks. I sincerely hope the District Manager gets involved soon or someone else opens one in Lakeway. Baaaad service times, I mean terrible. After you wait 10 minutes in line for the cashier to figure out how to work the register, then another 15 for your drink to be made, you almost don't care that they didn't get your order correct. All the while, you're waiting there watching no customers in line be serviced as the baristas pump out mobile order after mobile order. It gets to the point where there are around 15-20 mobile drink orders waiting to be picked up and that just clogs down this location beyond their comprehension of how to do customer service. read more

Unfortunately this Sbux was bad before COVID, and now it is just awful. They need to figure things out, beyond slow. Mobile ordering is one of the best things ever, but when you place a mobile order, they say the wait is 15 minutes, and then you have to wait another 20 minutes in the drive thru?!?! And no way to cancel when you realize this and don't have an extra 20 minutes. Even in covid there is no reason you can't pick up at the door. And particularly when the app says that this is an option. Other stores have figured out the covid thing, not an excuse anymore. This store gives the Sbux brand a bad name. read more

This place isn't too good but also I never get any problems when me and my fiancé goes I think they hired a new kid cause we've never seen him here before. We get up to the speaker and the dude says "what's up" doesn't even greed us right and was also very very quiet. My fiancé order my drink added sweet cold foam and shot of espresso my fiancé said about 3 times the dude got the sweet cold foam but no espresso. He then asked if we were done ordering we said no then he told us our order total and then he got off the mic. We then said we weren't done with the order he sounded irritated and said what else do you want , we got what we Wanted, he then started asking about 5 times are you sure you want you drink hot yes dude I do, Lakeway has just gone down hill the pass few years read more

Wow, horrible customer service. Got my order wrong at the register, went back and told them, took 17 mins to get my drink (maybe 2 people in front of me in line), and still got the order wrong. Additionally, you could barely hear the person calling out the names. After telling the staff this they just stared blankly. Terrible. read more

Can't understand why this Starbucks has gotten such bad reviews. Every time I'm there, which is often, I always have a positive experience.

I've been to this location about five times in the last month, and every time there has been a problem. Three out of the last five visits have resulted in an incorrect drink order (and my standard order is straight black coffee...). What prompted this review was my recent 30 minute wait in the drive thru line. When I (finally!) made it up to the window, there was no apology for the wait and no sense of urgency. Glancing inside, there didn't appear to be a walk-in crowd either, and the staff appeared casual and unstressed. So, I am still trying to work out how or why the drive-thru was averaging five minutes/vehicle for the six cars ahead of me when I arrived. I'm willing to write off one or two bad experiences, but the staff at this location has been habitually underwhelming. Avoid this one if you can. read more

This store is the absolute worst. I hate going to this location but occasionally it's my only option. The staff is rude, they are incredibly slow, the drive through takes 30 minutes at any given time of day and even if I place a pick up order 15 minutes in advance I still wait for 10 minutes to pick up my drink once I get there. Today though sent me over the edge. I placed a mobile order 15 minutes early. Got to the store and there was writing on the door that says "drive thru orders only until further notice". On the app, it said walk to the pick up counter to collect your order. I knocked on the door and everyone in the store just ignored me. I called to have them just cancel my order, but they took their phones off the hook so no one could call them. Who the heck do these people think they are?!? I was forced to wait in the drive through for 30 minutes with two screaming kids in the car. When I got to the window and told them how frustrated I was, they just rolled their eyes. Why not just disable mobile ordering if walking in to pick up is not an option?? This is the absolute worst location I have ever been to. I will never be coming back and I have always been a loyal Starbucks customer. Absolutely horrific. read more

Yesterday I went in for a grande Nitro Cold Brew. I stayed and hung out so I could get the .54¢ refill that EVERY OTHER location will provide. The young lady, Vividen, refused and when she got her manager he told me, "No ma'am, we don't give refills for Nitro's, that's corporate policy. The other stores are wrong." First of all, you do what the customer wants. Period. Telling me you're sorry and that next time it won't be .54¢ would have sufficed but being told how wrong I am was ridiculous and made me feel like a cheap idiot. THEN when I paid the full $5.90 for a second drink the manager I had previously dealt with MADE IT WRONG! I'm convinced he did this vindictively and out of spite. All the other kids there are great and before yesterday I only had good experiences. But now I know the manager is a mean person who treats people with massive disrespect. Luckily for me and the rest of the world there are several other coffee spots out here that I will for sure be going to from now on. Please think twice before going here, it's also fair to mention that it usually takes 15-20 minutes in the drive-thru when corporate policy dictates it should take no longer than 3 minutes. I guess the only corporate policies that matter are when the money is involved & screw the customers! read more

Don't mind a little wait for a good cup of coffee from Starbucks, however the past several visits i've found their drip coffee to be weak and watery. I am opting for convenience store coffee that's faster and actually more flavorful, the way i like it. Don't feel like they're living up to SBs standards here. read more

What has happened here? Me, finally joining the ranks to complain about this once efficient drive thru. Aye. It's an awful [and problematic] mess. Once tangled in the line backed up 10 deep, about all you can think of is gritting your teeth and debating whether to whip into the escape exit or continue the agonizing coffee journey. If you continue, you'll most likely kick yourself because -- even edging closer to the order-speaker -- the line moves at a snail's pace. Don't ever expect an apology E V E R for poor service. Flippant excuses abound once you snake your way to the window. Worst thing about that is you also end up with an excruciating wait at the window for the drinks. What the hey??? I used to place blame on fumblers/bumblers ordering incorrectly, but have no doubt it is ALL the problem of the store interior. Dear Starbucks, We know you have a stronghold on this coveted Lakeway location, but keep it up {internal managerial/staffing issues} and your faithful followers are going to bolt for good. I'm a regular here, mainly because it's proximity to my home. But if it's a weekend morning, forget about it. Go across the street to the Starbucks inside the grocery store. You'll get better and faster service there. Unless you like waiting 15 minutes for a latte on a Saturday. Went to this Starbucks yesterday morning (12-28) and I swear the dark haired girl serving the drinks at the end of the bar growled at me. I asked for half and half as there was none out, she rolled her eyes. She got the creamer and looked at me like she hated me. Well, no that's not true. Because she really didn't even look at me. I told her she she should smile. That's when she looked at me like she hated me. Another lady standing there asked me if it seemed like she hated her job. So it wasn't just me who noticed it. If Tom is working the bar, he's going to be friendly and fast. Becky is also awesome. There are a few others that are great, but this one employee brought it down to 2 stars. I love Starbucks and usually have a great experience! This Starbucks is HORRIBLE! The wait for the drive-thru is always very very long! If there is a line (90% of the time) I just drive over to the Randall's Starbucks and get a drink there - it is much faster! I never understand why they can't figure out how to be more efficient with the drive-thru. The Starbucks at 620/Anderson Mill always has a line just as long as this one - but they get people in and out quickly! They need to go talk to those folks and figure it out. On top of that - I have gotten wrong drinks several times an the Starbucks team at Lakeway never seems particularly friendly or interested in customer service - it is a surprising experience considering most Starbucks have great people working for them! read more

We have lived within walking distance of this Starbucks for the last year, and I can say that hands down this is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. It doesn't matter what time of day you come, the service is spotty at best. The kids behind the counter are far more interested in gossiping with each other, or wandering around aimlessly. This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. The service was terrible, especially this young lady who was being rude to me after I only asked for more milk. I ordered a doppio over ice with soy milk, yes I know that its a latte but me being a student can not afford to pay $5 on a cup of coffee. I ordered it like so because they charge a bit less and every other Starbucks I have ever been to has never had a problem with it and never been rude about it. The man at the register was not very friendly and didn't smile once, I work in the food industry as a cashier and i know that it doesn't take much to smile. I got my drink and it was a venti cup full of ice and only half full with drink. I politely asked if they could fill up the cup with more milk, one of the guys said "to the top?" And I said "yes please" and the girl proceeded to add a drop more and so I politely asked if she could please fill it up and she said in a rude tone "next time, order a latte". I did nothing to her and I was never rude about asking for the milk and I would've even been fine paying a difference but her comment was unnecessary and I will not be returning to this location. read more

I love Starbucks and go there 4 or 5 times a week. I especially love the order ahead feature and I use it all the time. The staff here are very friendly, thus the one star. With that being said, this store is hands down the worst Starbucks. They clearly have supply chain issues. No matter when I went all Winter, they were out of apple juice for the spiced cider, which can be purchased across the street at Randalls. The same brand, nothing unique to Starbucks. When they rolled out the Berry Sangria, they ran out the third day and it was at least a week before it was available. When it came back in stock, they ran out of the components, berries and fruit, etc. Over the course of the past few months, they've only had berries once. I called Starbucks corporate and they were very responsive. I received a follow up call from a regional manager who also visited the store and his experience was similar, they were still out of a featured drink and everything else he tried to order. Today we went to get breakfast and drinks for the family. Order ahead system was down, which is also frequent at this store. My husband ordered the featured sandwich and they were out, so he went with a basic sandwich....also out. The only sandwiches are the ones no one likes. So on to the drinks, Pumpkin Spice Latte, as Starbucks as it gets in the Fall. No Pumpkin Spice, out of stock. If we were ordering something special or bizarre, I understand how they may not have the ingredients on hand. We are ordering standard menu items and featured items. If you're going to have a featured menu item or a particular sandwich is popular, order accordingly. It's not an occasional occurrence, they are always out of everything. I suggest the Manager runs out of something too, a job. read more

picture this: i wake up on a lovely tuesday morning with starbucks on my mind. specifically speaking an everything bagel with cream cheese and caramel macchiato-- a classic order if you ask me. my pea sized brain thought it would be a divine idea to order ahead online... yet when i got to the starbucks, you were not allowed to go inside therefore i ended up waiting in the drive thru line anyway. "no big deal," i thought to myself, "i still get my delicious starbucks!" i was so far off, let me tell you. the lady at the window was quite friendly, but the drink, my iced drink was melting. usually starbucks has the best levels of complex flavors, but this time it tasted like milk with a hint of burnt coffee and water. i'm a tad bit disappointed. but i still had my bagel! as yes the creme de la creme. i opened my little paper bag only to find the bagel missing its flavorful partner- cream cheese. oy vey! my heart sunk. overall the experience was not delightful or divine, but i enjoyed writing this review. arigato! read more
